Warning: Nightmarish Experience with Haart Lettings

I recently experienced a challenging tenancy with Haart Lettings and feel compelled to share my frustrations.From the start, there were clear issues with professionalism. Numerous problems in the property were not adequately addressed, leading to unnecessary back-and-forth and frustration due to a lack of communication and coordination.The garage, advertised as part of the rent, became a major point of contention. Despite assurances about garage access, we discovered that the garage key was missing. Haart's response was uncooperative. This issue remained unresolved throughout our tenancy.Critical issues, including a malfunctioning toilet flush, and a broken and unsanitary fridge, were reported promptly. However, the resolution process was painfully slow and inefficient, with false fixes and a lack of timely responses.The repercussions of issues like a broken back door and a broken flush (left broken for 3 weeks) extended beyond inconvenience, imposing a substantial financial burden on us. Attempts to seek compensation were always denied.In conclusion, my experience with Haart Lettings has been extremely disappointing. I encourage potential tenants to thoroughly investigate alternatives before considering Haart as their letting agent.

The light switch on the ceiling of our toilet/bathroom has been broken and hasn't worked for a week. For a whole week now, we’ve been left in the dark at night in our own bathroom. We have reached Haart because we were very interested in one of their flats that we saw online. We contacted them as soon as we saw the ads and a few hours later Aaron, our estate agent, contacted us and proposed us to have a visit. We loved it so we directly payed a holding deposit and then everything was done super fast and very professionally. In about a few days everything was settle and we could move in. The only 'con' I would say is, the day we should have moved in, it was supposed to be on the morning, eventually due to some circumstances we were only able to move in late at night. But Aaron stayed until we could get the keys, he has been very helpful from the beginning until the end and even after, if we have any questions we can always reach him easily and he always gives us the answers we need. Thanks to Aaron we had a good and professional experience.

Haart Leeds don’t communicate with you

Haart Leeds were enlisted to help sell our family home and while they found a buyer, I found the communication experience poor.Whenever bookings were made for viewings, feedback was never given and I had to seek this out only to have the estate agent constantly be on leave or not reply for days at a time. This was consistent despite complaints raised.Then we were handed over to a move manager who did nothing to actually help with the process and handed us over to the solicitor to explain everything and she disappeared. Even in completion day, there was just an email saying completion would take place but then nothing from them once the house had sold, his was all through the solicitor.Over all a very disappointing and poor service and I would encourage anyone to avoid this branch.

Unnecessarily stressful experience

We are first time buyers and went to view a house in Wilford. Everything was going smoothly with the viewings being held by a friendly and helpful young guy. We put an offer in and waited to hear back. They told us that our offer had to be validated by an "independent mortgage advisor" who the guy showing us round had already recommended to us. Despite us already having a mortgage in principle from our own mortgage advisor he told us we wouldn't get a mortgage because my partner is relocating. He then made us jump through a number of hoops before putting our offer forward. We were told we would hear back on a certain day, which never happened, we only got a call to tell us the seller had chosen a different offer after we had emailed to ask for an update.It's only after going through the same process with other agents that we realised how painful and unnecessary this was and every advisor we have spoken to since said how ridiculous it is what we had to do to submit an offer despite having a legitimate decision in principle.I wouldn't recommend this estate agent, especially if you're new to the process.
