Messed about for a week with wife being pregnant by Alex R.

Spoke with Alex on phone and he alerted me there were a few properties available on help to buy in Uxbridge. I told him was keen and had wanted to view the properties. Alex told me the viewing for the four houses would not happen until 2 weeks. I asked him if i could reserve one and was told that can only reserve after viewing. 2 weeks forward and 3 properties have been reserved. With one being left we went to view the property, and gave them the asking price, our offer got accepted. They set up a mortgage call for Friday the 14 of August 2020. I sent Alex an email to say would the developer go down by £5k potentially as an incentive for stamp duty or furniture voucher i tried to negotiate and at no point did i say i would not pay the full asking price. I told Alex to let me know by end of day. I received no phone call and he had gone and negotiated the property with another buyer without communicating anything to me. I tried to contact Alex the next day and he had booked a day off, i called the office and they said hes on annual leave and has given the property to another buyer. I don't understand what games they were playing but it was a nightmare experience and has been very hard. We spent £500 to get a mortgage in principal also. I cannot explain how much stress Alex and Gibbs Gillespie have given to my pregnant partner absolute farcical experience stay away and i would not recommend to ever go with this company.

Gibbs Gillespie 3 starsHarry Rai 5 stars!I had two viewing appointments on one day when I travel across the city and almost got to the first one they called me saying the agent is called in sick and there's nothing they can do, but cancel the appointments. ( can't you let another agent meet me for just 30 min?)The second viewing is with Harry Rai. He's being very professional, I had a very detailed introduction on the viewing. He also gives me suggestions and tells me what to look out when buying a house.

I can not speak highly enough in regard to Harry Rai, who took care of my viewing of a flat. Knowledgable, honest, and experienced, truly the whole package when looking for an advisor for home buying.He was able to highlight all the key features in a structured and efficient way and yet allowed us additional time to see everything in a non rushed manner. At the end of the viewing, he allowed us plenty of time for follow up questions and general advice which he answered using his professional knowledge and wealthy experience

Excellent Service Going Above and Beyond

We rented our beautiful apartment through Gibbs Gillespie (Pinner) and the service was amazing. They were so fast to come back on emails and even during these difficult times of Covid-19 we have received excellent service.Our property is also managed by the GG team and when we had issues with the shower upon moving in, they had someone sent around on the same day who managed to sort the problem. Their staff and their contractors have gone above and beyond. I would highly recommend them as agents!

Outstanding service from Chantelle Taylor from Gibbs & Gillespie in Rickmansworth

I’ve used Gibbs & Gillespie in Rickmansworth for the last 3 years as a tenant and they’ve always been really accommodating with any requests I’ve had. I was particularly impressed with Senior Lettings Consultant Chantelle Taylor as she’s been on the ball in all my interactions with her. She did not just found a new tenant within a couple of days but also managed to support me as a moving tenant around selling my new furniture to the new teants and organising everything so that my checkout was as smooth as possible! Moving out of the country for work I couldn’t have asked for a better person to handle such a stressful move. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and Gibbs & Gillespie in general to any landlord/tenant out there.

I’d give them 6 stars if I could!

If I could give these guys 6 stars I would! The team at the Stanmore branch have been outstanding. This sale of my mother’s house had some potentially tricky aspects to it but Philip Twallin approached the project with tremendous energy and enthusiasm. He made a stressful situation almost fun! Don’t be fooled, this guy really knows his stuff. He shared his knowledge and experience to help us make our own informed choices. I always felt he and his team had our best interests at heart. I went for a bold strategy and within 2 hours of instructing, GG had a big queue of people ready to view! Within 5 days of putting the house on the market we had half a dozen credible offers on the table. Our file was then admirably managed by James Sweet, who also supported us through the remaining process with great communication. If only my solicitors had been as efficient, we could have got the deal wrapped up within the month! Big thanks to the whole team, including Paula and Grant who I spoke with on occasion. If you’re selling a house don’t even hesitate to engage this agency.

They are racist

They (Watford/Rickmansworth branch) are racist, cheaters, and totally unprofessional. were extremely rude in showing properties and try everything to delay a deal in order to hoard it to cash buyers. Don't use them and be cautious when dealing, if you have to.

Over Priced and Very Hands Off

Their costs are much higher than most estate agents so I would have expected a superior service. But there is no communication - they don’t respond to emails or deal with any problems that arise. They just keep taking their 13 percent. Do not entrust your property to this company - you can find better and cheaper.

This company promised me the earth the moon and the stars as well as indicating they would leave no stone unturned to find me a tenant. I had to do my own viewings, was fed unsuitable potential tenants, had next to nil contact from them to discuss how best to market my property. Overall they were unhelpful and the icing on the cake was when I sacked this useless and horrendous set up, the lettings manager had the nerve to say to me that I was too far out for them right from the beginning. Avoid at all costs.

Avoid this joke of a company !!!

We used josh from the Rickmansworth office, he told us a load of lies to get us to sign up and overvalued the property He also said there was no tie in and we could leave after 7 weeks which we now realise was another lie I guess he has no idea on selling as we haven’t received a single offer !!After the 20 week period we will find an agent that is professional and able to sell properties Avoid Gibbs at all costs if you have any sense just read all the other reviews ( I wish I had !!)
