I purchased a property with Franklyn James last month, and only have good things to say about them. As a first time buyer, I definitely appreciated Adnan's advice through the whole process, from viewing to completion, and his help in making sure each person involved in the conveyancing process was responding in a timely manner. Thanks to his proactive approach, we managed to complete just before the stamp duty deadline, which I originally did not expect, but was a very nice achievement. I definitely highly recommend Franklyn James for property transactions on the Isle of Dogs.Again, thanks a lot to Adnan for his patience and professionalism.

I had only a couple of fairly small issues with the flat I'm renting and they got fixed but every time it took weeks and some active chasing to get things sorted. There's also a strong effort made to go for the lowest cost option even when savings are negligible, like repeatedly telling me to park my car outside because they lost the remote for the gate of the secure parking, or replacing my very old mattress with the cheapest available option after repeated complaints, or deciding to not change a smoke detector even after a guy they sent to check it said that it is not fit for purpose

Franklyn James have rented my properties for many years, and whilst I get approached from many other agencies, I wouldn't go anywhere else. My properties have pretty much zero void periods, rents are paid on time, and their property management team is tip top in terms of response times and service. I used other agencies in the E14 postcode prior to Franklyn James, and am glad I signed up with them (which is now over 10 years ago). The team have been both exceptional and supportive - Lee Alter, Gary Atkins, Joanna Socko (who have been there forever (which is always a very good sign when you choose an agent). Additionally, I'd also like to mention Tanzila Arefin who has been excellent in carrying out the day to day management of my properties. Bottom line, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Franklyn James. Great agency. 5*

GoogleI recently contacted Franklyn James about my intention to rent out my vacant property. It was a Saturday, and I had no expectations of hearing back that day. But that same day a manager from Franklyn James, Inga, called and arranged to visit my property. She provided a rental valuation, gave me a run-down of the services Franklyn James offer, and useful information about the current market. I had spoken to other agents during my research, but after learning all Franklyn James had to offer, and experiencing the honesty and professionalism, I had no hesitation in opting to use their service over the others. Within days my flat was on the market, and they had found me a tenant. Highly recommend for other landlords.

Franklyn James has provided an excellent service for me and my partner whilst looking for a new property to rent. James was super helpful and responsive every step of the way through securing our lovely new home! And even went into the office on a Saturday to do some paperwork for us. GoogleFranklyn James have been managing the letting of my property for a number of years. Great people & very professional. A specific mention for Property Manager Tanzila Arefin who is always on hand to support myself or my tenants and overall, takes a lot of the lift off of my shoulders but keeps me up to speed every step of the way.

FacebookVery unprofessional service. They always try to keep from deposit and take actions on their own even without relaying the message to the actual landlord. In two instances on the same property they did not transfer the request for my rent to the landlord and said that he rejected the offer for renewal and when I contacted the landlord, they said that they have not been notified about my request, only that I wanted to leave. Please be aware of these guys, check other REAL reviews and avoid at all cost. Really really bad agency that tries to profit at the expense of both landlord and tenant. Opportunistic, unprofessional and rude on communication.

GoogleHave been renting through Franklyn James for almost 2 years now and it's been a smooth ride from day one. We've had great support overall. Marc helped us with the initial viewings and contract agreement. Since then, Gary has always been available, attentive and quick to sort out any day-to-day matters or occasional issues. Definitely recommend them!

GoogleUnfortunately Franklyn James were not reliable, professional or polite when we needed to change a tenant on our contract. They lost personal and highly confidential documents supplied by our new tenant, as well as claiming to have no records of a change of tenancy, despite us having long email chains detailing the change. They claimed we had never supplied the documents and were rude in their correspondence with us about the matter. Once they found them, they did not tell us or admit fault. A different employee then accidentally told us that they had found them. We never received any apology and were charged nearly £300 for the fiasco. Very disappointing service.
