Great Senior Property Manager

Having signed with Foxtons last July, I was impressed by the professionalism of the agent and the on-going communication. I was however largely unimpressed with the Property Manager who was originally assigned to manage my property. However, most recently, I have Francisco De Freitas Pinto appointed to manage my property and he has been a breath of fresh air. He is incredibly professional to deal with but most importantly, his on-going communication with me has been outstanding and genuinely refreshing. I understand that he is a new starter at Foxtons so congratulations to Foxtons on acquiring and employing someone who genuinely cares and is a credit to your business. Thankyou Francisco and I hope you continue to remain as my property manager for the foreseeable future!

Excellent Service and Great Advice

Excellent Service. Sonny from the sales is very experienced and Millie from the letting's team was attentive and super helpful in answering all my questions. Both teams are extremely proactive from working early to working late. Both the sales and lettings team are both knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process. A thorough process with no stone unturned and all my questions were answered. 10 out 10. Highly recommended for anyone looking to sell or let out their property in London

I’ve been with Foxtons for 5 years and…

I’ve been with Foxtons for 5 years and for the most time I did not have a particularly nice experience, to a point where I considered moving purely because of the property managers and their negligence. Recently a new property manager was appointed, Hidaya Siddiqui who has been an absolute pleasure to deal with. She is super kind, a great communicator, very quick to respond to matters and extremely professional. I wish Foxtons hired more people like her and I really hope they will appreciate her.

Rebecca Hutcheson management

I have found that Rebecca Hutcheson has been an extremely efficient and helpful manager dealing with my properties. She is one of the best managers I have had in 20 years of being a landlord.

Great service.

In the 90s Foxtons was not a name you’d associate with high satisfactory service on lettings. Now thou it’s all change, Ms Alisha Leid and her team deliver a service that’s on the money. It’s a tough job so please keep it up.A

I would like to say a big thank you to Margot Redpath who was extremely caring and considerate of my moving situation and made me feel like my situation was just as or if not more important than her own. Her customer service skills should be taught in seminars!

Thank you Lucja!

Lucja has been our main point of contact since we decided to go with Foxtons for our new home. Lucja has been amazing from the offset and made everything so simple and easy. Their communication and willingness to help has been incredible and they really have made our experience with Foxtons great.

We had a great experience with Foxtons in Stratford. Our estate agent Adrian was really helpful. He listened very well and has a great attitude. He ensured we could see every property, that was of relevance to us, and provided the best suggestions possible.

The worst agency you will ever have to deal with

The worst agency you will ever have to deal with. From day one of moving in, the flat hadn’t been clean properly. I reported it straight away and provided photo evidence but nothing was done about it. The gas hob was broken and after months in the flat is still not fixed. I was told at the time it wasn’t dangerous until one morning it caught on fire and couldn’t stop it. But again Foxtons stayed passive about it. (Still not fixed)One of their engineer came for a boiler checked and ultimately stopped the heating system, I reported it and nothing was done for three weeks in the middle of winter. The washing machine fills up with used water and also was reported but the problem still hasn’t been fixed and they are not in a rush to get it fixedI’ve only been here 3 months and constantly trying to communicate with Foxtons and get everything that should have been done before I moved in finally sorted has been extremely stressful and time consuming. Avoid Foxtons at all cost

Won't view with Foxtons again

Just started viewing houses so it's all new. Met some nice agents but todays one was our first (and last) with Foxtons. Agent turned up 20 mins late after vaguely texting saying he was "just around the corner". Didn't apologise. Didn't know which house it was. Didn't have the keys so had to wait for someone to bring them. Didn't shake hands, say hi or any general chit chat. Didn't even look at me. The cost of houses in London you'd think they'd be be a little more civilised.

Expensive and offer zero value

Foxtons charged us £7,500 as an initial fee for finding a tenant. They did not manage the property. After the three year rental period was up and we said we didn't want a contract as we were going into a sale period, they then still insisted we needed to pay them £2,500. We are not sure why but it ended in legal proceedings, so we paid. We've since found out other agents do not charge such ludricis costs. As a side note, the tenant they found unbeknownst to us was in receipt of social housing (apparently the council in some instances actually pay landlords to take such tenants) but more relevantly, the tenants which cost us £10K in Foxtons finder's fees have refused to leave the property and cost us the sale of the flat. In brief, foxtons take all the upside, offer no value and take on no risk. It's worth noting Foxtons expect their fees for the entire tenancy to be paid upfront...so whilst you as a landlord have no certainty, Foxtons absolutely do. Please also read the small print as fees are expected after the initial contract for many years and they're hefty. Our estate agent local to us charges one month's rent for the initial rental agreement and then circa £100 for contract renewal. So in our scenario that would of been £1650 vs £10K. Foxtons may argue they're boutique etc but I can't see how this applies to our scenario. So from a rental perspective avoid like the plague Final, final point I would be deeply suspicious of these positive reviews. Foxtons are using this data to underpin / substantiate their claim of being London's number 1 and I know their CEO modifies comments on his social channel (good feedback only). I suspect as part of their close, they actively ask folk for positive reviews and my other reflection is the two most recent positive reviews appear to be written by those with Property portfolios and therefore possibly part of their inner circle or simply have deep enough pockets (due to benefiting from long term asset price inflation) to afford their fees.

Foxtons Refurbishment department…

Foxtons have recently formed a Refurbishment department headed by Lauren Manuel. Recently I required a full flat refurbishment, Lauren obtained 3 quotes, supervised the works, kept me regularly informed of the progress and consulted me with redecoration and fitments. Under her professional guidance the challenging works were carried out to a high standard. I have in the past organised the refurbishment of flats myself and via Foxtons management services, which was time consuming and often stressful. Lauren and a dedicated refurbishment team are a bonus for landlords. Well done Lauren. Thank you

Appalling Service and Unprofessional Conduct: My Foxtons Nightmare experience with…

I had a terrible experience with Foxtons involving more than one employee. In June 2022, T. C. contacted me for the house renewal. After an initial standard email, he disappeared for 2 months, not responding to emails or voicemails. Less than a month before the contract expiration, he came back proposing a 40% rent increase and exerting very aggressive and rude pressure for the renewal, disregarding rental laws and denying advice suggested by citizen advisors. Eventually, the landlord agreed to extend for an extra month to allow me time to find another place to stay, but not without some troubles as they wanted to increase the rent by an unreasonable amount for that extra month. At the end of my tenancy, I had to deal with E. R., who claimed non-existent arrears in my contract, threatening to leave a bad credit score if I didn't pay. She also did not respond to emails or voicemails for days, disregarding the emotional stress this situation had caused. After several unreturned emails and calls, I managed to speak with her by calling the branch, and she confirmed that no arrears were present. This all happened at the end of the summer of 2022.I refrained from leaving a review earlier due to fear it might impact my future rental references. Despite the circulating negative reviews, I had low expectations from Foxtons, but this situation was beyond unacceptable. I even contemplated escalating the issue to the council, but after enduring so much stress, I've decided to take a break from dealing with it. I'm uncertain if the two individuals mentioned above are still employed by Foxtons, but their behaviour was inhumane and unacceptable, a true disgrace. I hope to never have to deal with Foxtons again. If I encounter a property managed by Foxtons in the future, it will be an immediate deal-breaker and automatically disregarded.

Complete waste of space

Complete waste of space. Non-responsive, don't deliver on promises, don't resolve any issues for tenants or landlord within a reasonable time frame. Will not do anything unless chased on a daily basis. Any "property manager" will be in meetings all day, or for lunch, so won't be reachable by phone. This means you have to pick up the issues with one of their colleagues (which annoyingly will keep apologizing for their colleague's inept). Took >6 months to fix a broken oven. Took >4 months to remove rogue items from previous tenants from flat. Took 1.5 months to fix a broken washing machine.Took 2 months to fix broken heating.None of the items above happened without first getting threatened to not pay the rent.

Selling is always a stressful process. But, Aaron and others at Foxtons made our journey less bumpy. Aaron was caring, professional and a pleasure to work with - always impartial and helpful at all stages. Thank you for successfully selling my daughter’s flat.

Non-existence service. Total waste of time and money.

There are so many mainstream alternatives that provide higher service for the buck. We’ve paid thousands of pounds towards the extra management services over a few years as a landlord and the management service aforementioned was NON-EXISTENT.The property manager himself was impossible to get hold of, especially during crucial times. Our tenants suffered with faulty windows for 6 WHOLE MONTHS and still wasn't fixed. As the tenants moved out, Foxtons conducted an unauthorised check-out inventory (and tried to charge us for it). The tenants overstayed and the outstanding rent from that period was issued 15 MONTHS after the tenants moved out. Will never let through them again.

Foxtons Stratford have been extremely helpful in helping me choose a property. In particular, Gintare has taken a lot of time to show me and my parents around properties. She is knowledgeable about the area, very friendly, polite and she is always contactable. Gintare is very thorough and follows up on all of the small steps in a transaction. I have been really impressed with Foxtons Stratford and Gintare.

AVOID, the worst rental experience

It was the worst rental experience we've ever had in our life. For one and half years our property had no property manager and when we reached out there was simply no one in Foxtons that could offer help. We had maintenance problems for almost 6 months which are still not resolved. Foxtons failed to provide the new contract to the new tenant until now the tenancy is almost finished. JUST HORRIBLE. NO ACTION & NO COMMUNICATION.They only come to you when the contract needs to be renewed, and they would not even pass on your message to the landlord if THEY think your offer is not reasonable.I mean, what could be a reasonable offer after experiencing your service anyway?
