TrustpilotMoved into a short let with a bug covered mattress
I have been dealing with Foxtons for couple of years and never had major issues BUT today I moved into my short let and the mattress was covered in live insects crawling up to the walls - the agents were not helpful. Asked me to wash the mattress cover … the Foxtons management hs jumped into action but their solution for me is to stay for a couple of nights with a friend while they sort this out or get a hotel costing the same per night as the short let!!!!! hopefully there will be a swift resolution to this and I will be duly compensated so I can come back here and share the update …

TrustpilotGreat Service
I have recently purchased a flat in London via Foxtons Marylebone team. Rami showed me the flat and answered all my detailed questions in every step with very detailed answers. He handled all my concerns during the conveyancing process with delicacy. He always came up with the best solutions to the problems and pleased both parties until the completion. Thank you Rami for such a smooth process. It has been a pleasure to work with you!

TrustpilotMost corrupt company in the UK
Perhaps the single most corrupt, dishonest, predatory company I have ever done business with. They defend slumlords and abdicate responsibility at the highest level in the company. Their lack of due diligence at their rental properties and desire for profit and gain is deplorable. They should not be allowed to continue these business practices targeting foreign clients to the UK and those without unlimited means to take them to court. Renter/buyer/client beware. They are a repulsive, money hungry, unethical group of people. We were rented a mould infested, broken, hazardous uninhabitable dwelling. Gaslighting and feigned ignorance the entire tenancy. Look elsewhere.

TrustpilotExcellent Sales Service
I had a fantastic experience with Foxtons. Even though I ended up not buying a property through Foxtons, I can't recommend enough the service that I received from Jean-Paul Antoine of New Homes office.Jean-Paul provided us with a A-Class service going the extra mile to understand and accommodate our needs. Jean-Paul was very knowledgeable and seemed to never fail to give us key advices. It was a real pleasure to work with him!

My experience with the compay whilst looking for accommodation especially your staff Nailah Cave and Stephanie was marvellous. They were very professional and went an extra mile particularly Nailah going to my wife's work place to help her upload her needed documents and completion of her form to enable us secure our current rental accommodation. She is legend and should keep her selfless service with smiles up.

TrustpilotDo not use Foxtons
I would not recommend renters to use this agency or branch in particular. I recently rented with them and they are impatient, misleading and uncompassionate. While these may not be most necessary characteristics of an estate agents, they are still essential to ensure a positive, recommendable and stress-free experience when renting. The agency do nothing but demand inconsiderately and do not prioritise the tenant but of course solely the tenant's money and force large sums of money yet can not save important documents, even spell names correctly or keep the correct tenancy agreement copy. I won't get started on the 4 week long "technical" problem they had regarding referencing, nor the inexistent inventory and nonchalant reaction. The team lack initiative, customer care, experience and knowledge. For a stress-free, pleasant experience when renting in London, these are not your agents. They told lies and miscommunicated numerous times and I cannot stress this enough. I will certainly not be renting, buying or dealing with Foxtons in the future.

TrustpilotA huge disappointment from start to finish
Our experience with Foxtons has been nothing short of frustrating. From the very beginning, communication was poor. Before moving in, emails went unanswered or delayed, and once we raised urgent issues like a serious mold problem, it was not addressed in a timely manner. We also went without heating for weeks in the winter before finally being given a few space heaters as a stop-gap.

TrustpilotThank you Shanice !
Shanice Evans is a superb property manager. She managed a property where we were tenants for 4 months: her communication skills and responsiveness are excellent; when dealing with problems she is empathetic but also efficient at solving them and is unfailingly professional and courteous. It was so reassuring to know that Shanice was in charge throughout our tenancy .

TrustpilotCorrupt, dishonest and unaccountable
Let a 2 bedroom/2 bath flat.A day before our move-in we were told that there was a plumbing emergency and the landlord was going to fix it.Moved it and the bathroom and master bedroom showed clear signs of mold and mildew. The landlord decided not to fix the long-standing water damage. Foxtons declared the flat habitable and offer a £100 compensation.Foxtons has refused to show reports of the plumbing emergency, inspections or contractors invoices.A representative visited and denied the smell. A week later, they ordered a mold inspection. This company takes advantage of foreigners who they believe will not take them to court.Too many other issues to list. Rotting plants in the flat, unsafe banisters, lack of Wifi, various violations of tenancy agreement.Update: the landlord will not return our deposit due to the water damage that occured prior to our move in.Kate Targosz this is fraud and your negligence is criminal

GoogleReally great service from Beatrice as my Sales Manager when selling my flat earlier this year. She was very proactive and was the driving force for my sale. Beatrice knows her market and provided regular communication which helped reassure me as a first time seller. Thanks again!

TrustpilotHighly recommended
I recently completed on a purchase with Foxtons and was very pleased with the way the agents handled everything. Michael Chamberlain was my main point of contact and he was constantly keeping me in the loop and updating me on progress. I was very happy with the service Michael and Mohammed provided in my purchase. Thank you so much!

In the past I have found it extremely difficult to get a response from Foxtons whenever I have a query, however in the past week I have been corresponding with Beatrice and found her to be most responsive and helpful. I feel more confident that if I have future query I now have a main point of contact. Thank you Beatrice.

TrustpilotRented with Foxtons for about a year…
Rented with Foxtons for about a year and the property management was really poor. Probably the main reason for exercising my break clause because I could not take it anymore. Had issues when we moved in with hot water which was only resolved 2 weeks later, problems with heating for months, just to mention a few. Fast forward to me moving out - Inventory checkout done and professional clean done. It’s now been almost a month and have not received my deposit back. Probably need to get legal advice now. Don’t even want to give them a one star rating, should be 0. Would NOT recommend!

TrustpilotPhase 2 as predicted
Phase 2 as predicted. After multiple chase ups they took 22 days to send an incomplete deposit with no explanation of why funds were missing . When challenged they are avoiding responding . It really is an awful company with what looks like systemised incompetence . Add in the built in plausible deniability for their endless short changing and you have an organisation to avoid . Dump their shares ??

TrustpilotGomshall lease
Took a lease for a flat in Gomshall as full fibre was promised. Lines are there but some discrepancy between BT and Open Reach. Signed an 18 month lease stupidly. Been a month and no internet, moved from South Africa to England and need fibre for my job. Foxtons and landlord seem only interested in a signed lease agreement. If this persists will lose my job. Is there anyone out there who can help?

TrustpilotMore mealy-mouthed, whining excuses
I recently complained that my due rent was over TWO WEEKS late and Foxtons, who have been paid TEN THOUSAND POUNDS TO MANAGE MY PROPERTY, claimed that:"Thank you for your feedback and I apologise that you are not receiving your rent on time. As I've explained to you previously, Foxtons do not collect payments by Direct Debit, all payments should be made by the tenants by Standing Order which they have to set up with their bank."WHY is the Standing Order not set up? THAT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE BEING PAID FOR!! GET THEM TO SET THEM UP! It's part of the tenancy agreement, for God's sake.As always, BS excuses based around the WORDING of my complaint rather than actually apologise and deal with the problem. And they wonder why everyone I have spoken to thinks they're terrible? Stop making excuses and trying to justify NOT doing the job you've been paid to do and do the actual job instead. As stated before, NEVER again and I WHOLLY recommend that others avoid them as well. The rent is now nearly THREE WEEKS late and only complaining has got it moving at all. An utter embarrassment and I will keep leaving these reviews with every new terrible experience as I feel others should be fully aware of just how bad things are with these, in my opinion, cowboys. You want them to stop? Do your jobs. It's VERY easy.
Tristan · 7 September 2023
Agent replied · 10 June 2024
Dear Tristan,Once again I am sorry that we are not meeting our expectations but we are unable to control the actions of the tenant. The tenancy agreement requires tenants to set up standing orders for payment of rent, but it is something that only the tenants can do directly with their bank. Kind regardsNick

TrustpilotI'm having the worst experience
Hello, As requested I will expand upon some of the major issues we are experiencing with foxtons. Firstly, after making a one year rent payment directly to foxtons (immediatley upon signing the contract), although the obligatiom of both foxtons and the landlord to meet their contractual duries this has not happened by either party. Three months after the beginning of our tenancy we still have missing furniture, maintance that has to be done, cleaning that has to me done and much more. Furthermore, the agent we delt with has been lying to us throughout the entire process and the foxtons manager of the flat is unreachable. In conclusion, this behaviour is not only unprofession but it is also outragous, therefore we are prepared to take legal action if in the near future we do not hear back from you. Please contact me either via cell: +393452127793 Best regards, Beril

Agent replied · 10 June 2024
Dear Beril,Thank you for providing more information. I can see that we don't manage your property and any maintenance issues will need to be addressed directly with the landlord. I'm sorry that we can't help you with the issues that you are experiencing but as your agreement is with the landlord and not Foxtons we are unable to intervene. You may wish to seek independent advice with the Citizens Advice Bureau which is a free of charge service.Kind regardsNick

TrustpilotFantastic experience!
Foxtons Marylebone recently assisted me with flat purchase. Chris Venter, Venetia De Sigley and Mohsen Ojany were very efficient, organised, commercial and helpful. They went out of their way to guide me through the process and facilitate the information flow with the other side. They were also incredibly responsive which helped us handle any obstacles in a timely manner. The process was smooth and quick - highly recommended!

Definitely made the gruesome house searching experience a lot eqsier

TrustpilotWorst Experience Ever
Worst Experience Ever Please avoid Foxton at all cost! 1. The agent didn't send any email confirmation or contacted me after the initial call for the appointment scheduled, and I had to go to the office myself to figure out who the agent I made the call with and what happened.2. The same agent made us wait for her for 2 hours for viewing because she couldn't get the keys. While she promised to call us and update us by 4 (our appointment was at 2 p.m.), she never called or texted. I called her 3 times but she didn't pick up. 3. So we had to chase her in the office again to ask about the apartment we were interested in, and we signed the contract. However, she made us sign the contract 3 times in the following couple of days because the first time she forgot to upload the paper I signed; the second time the account team got the rent wrong. 4. They never gave us any list of documents that we need to sign, they just told you when they can think of, so I couldn't move in at the time I scheduled with the landlord and they made us to go to the office again. It's such a waste of time!!! We had to keep changing our schedules due to her responsibilities.

TrustpilotAdministratively Incompetant
Administratively incompetant to the highest degree - took 6 months to recieve a reference request and despite contacting the company 6 times throughout the year to ask about why I was still recieving emails after making a tenant change, I was told that I'm still a tenant. I must have spoke to 5 different people about why I'm still being contacted and frequently chased about what was happening and it took a full year to actually figure out that nothing had happened.
