My partner and I moved into a property from the Foxtons site and had a few issues prior to signing the contracts, Abbas was incredible, even when his part was done, he made sure everything went as smoothly as possible. He chased up the landlords when we had issues and stuck stuck with us until the actual move in had happened. He’s been amazing!

Would not recommend

As a past tenant, I found them very difficult to work with. Very poor communication and correspondence when I attempted to contact them on email or phone regarding urgent issues with our tenancy. They accused myself and my housemates of not paying a months rent and subsequently threatened our reference - they inevitably “found” the missing rent months later in another account and failed to apologise and just acknowledged it by leaving a voicemail. This caused us endless stress and anxiety as they requested for another payment 18 times on emails. This resulted in us reallocating our contract to another group to leave the property. Glad to hear our landlord has also ended their contract with them and I will make sure to avoid them in the future.

Although our property search was not easy by any means, Pritam and her team at foxtons made sure we had a nice place to stay. Our initial property was cancelled a couple days before the move in date and left us couch surfing for 2 weeks. My experience with Foxtons as a tenant…

My experience with Foxtons as a tenant has been overwhelmingly negative. Upon renting an apartment a year ago, I was assured by the Foxtons agent that the under-repair property would be like new at move-in. Instead, I faced numerous issues: faulty appliances, electrical problems, missing fixtures, and no blinds/curtains. The letting team's solution was to list problems online and wait, while the management team seemed incapable of handling the extensive repairs needed. They also showed a lack of consideration for my family and pet, misinterpreting my request to be present during repairs as an obstruction.The maintenance requests were repeatedly ignored, and the contractors' work was subpar. It required many days off work and council intervention to make headway. A forced rent waiver was imposed without agreement, and subsequent complaints were ignored. Every repair required exhaustive follow-ups, with agents excusing their inaction by citing the number of properties they manage.Even simple issues like a light switch causing electricity tripping remained unresolved after several contractor visits and weeks of effort. Overall, Foxtons may suit some landlords, but I strongly advise tenants to steer clear.

Been using Foxtons to property manage my flat for around 15 years. Although not the cheapest, they have always been really responsive on issues, have found excellent tenants and have managed the property well. Their communication is clear and prompt, the web-portal easy to use. Tanya Braco has been my contact for the last couple of years and she is always really helpful.

Non existent property management

Update: November 2023: I have finally moved out of my foxtons managed property and I couldn’t be happier. 3 years of maintenance not done and shocking comms. Having since met and discussed with the landlord he too was at a loss for what he was paying for. He hardly ever heard of any of the issues. Dont waste your money landlords Whilst I cannot fault Foxtons for their letting negotiation, that’s pretty much where it ends. As tenants we have had issues with foxtons property management since day one. Landlords please note that Foxtons is really good at collecting rent on your behalf, but terrible at engaging with your tenants and managing maintenance in the property. Foxtons have also said they have reached out for more info, but they just asked me the contact details. Still awaiting real feedback

Utterly, UTTERLY useless

I have just had to serve notice of eviction on three tenants for continous, incessant and serious breaches of the tenancy agreement that Foxtons created and use. Dealing drugs from my property, smoking drugs and tobacco inside my property, other people living at the property, homeless people sleeping in communal areas because they leave the front door open, parties until 3am, police being called for violent fights, unwraped rotten meat thrown in the communal bin area, the list goes on and on. ALL of this has been compained about by other tenants and landords and myself to Foxtons on MANY occasions and NOTHING AT ALL has been done. The excuse is "We've asked them to stop and they haven't so there's nothing more we can do" A total waste of time and money. I would advise ANYONE to steer well clear of them.

Couldn’t ask for a better service. We were struggling to find a flat to move in, in 2 months we tried many MANY agencies and they all ended up disappearing, forcing us to chase them in order to get info about our pending offers. Finally, we met Faiza from Foxton and I don’t even know how she did it but in one day we had two viewings and we decided to proceed with the second flat. We didn’t need to chase her, she was keeping us constantly informed about all the procedures we had to go through. She literally saved us from an emergency situation where we didn’t know where to go having to leave the old flat. Thank you Faiza, London definitely needs more agents like you !

Sadly, Foxtons manage my property in London

Foxtons manage my property in London. My issues are numerous and varied. From property managers who change every few months without warning or handover, to avoiding answering urgent emails I send, to harassing me for answers on the mundane, to not releasing my funds in time, I have to say my experience is terrible.When I tried to escalate the issues my complainant was ignored and nothing changed. As it has happened time and time again with different managers, I can't even believe it is a single person's fault, rather, it seems to be a cultural thing. Would I recommend foxtons? Not at all. Never.

I do not recommend

Foxtons have keen managing my property since 2020. They haven’t followed up on maintenance so my boiler is wrecked and they have LOST their set of keys to my house. Their staff are surly and have zero customer service training. They do not follow up. They also don’t seem to care about poor sloppy service. I have had so many bad experiences and i never get a manager or anyone senior trying to smoothe things over or resolve problems. Sloppy. Appalling. Don’t recommend they couldn’t care less.

My Agent Maruf is always available to give answers to my phone calls and I was impressed with their level of knowledge and the amount of data that they had about the market.
