Avoid!

I have been letting my flat in the Greenwich area through this branch for years. Sadly, the recent experience is very disappointing, to say the least.1) for over four months, they did not refund fees after tenants moved out early, despite confirming it would be processed 2) they charged me with costs which contractually should be assigned to tenants (cleaning the flat)3) They charged erroneous fees for new tenancy, refused to explain where they came from and did not refund the difference.4) additionally, they informed me of non-payment of rent despite FJL receiving it, causing distress to tenants and myself.

I've had cause to do business with a few letting agencies over the years and they can be quite difficult so it was a breath of fresh air to deal with Lucy at FJL. Faultlessly polite and helpful throughout the process, she helped me jump through all the administrative loops as smoothly as possible and proved to be highly efficient. I whole-heartedly recommend the company and - based on my experience - I'd say, ask for Lucy.

We're very pleased with our experience with Felicity J Lord so far. We are yet to move into our new flat, but Le has been very helpful in negotiating with the landlord on our behalf and the process of making our offer and referencing was set out very clearly. I've had the misfortune to be living in a FJL managed property for 18 months. The customer service we've received here has been absolutely appalling - they have hung up on us several times, and simple tasks like picking up keys takes hours! Issues we have had with them over the past 1.5 years include (but are not limited to): - being forced to go without hot water or heating for two weeks after our boiler broke. They also tried to charge us for its repair. - being told they had no keys to the property and we had to stay in on a workday and wait for workmen who never turned up - twice! - being told not to take down the lettings sign outside our house - six month after we'd taken over the property! - having to call every day for a week to get our fridge fixed (it was leaking water all over the floor!) - being emailed and texted about repairs for months after a problem has been resolved - despite us confirming they had been completed many times. Absolutely dire - I would recommend going literally anywhere else.

Poor experience letting my flat out

Used FJ Lord to let out my flat. Nothing seemed to happen unless I chased the agent. I was there for some viewings. Some of the agents were fine but some hardly spoke english and their body language and demeanour made it seem like he was embarrassed to be marketing the flat. (it is a very nice flat). Worst of all, I could not rely on information from the agent. She would make a statement and when I later tried to find verification in their documentation she would have to admit that it was not there. The amusing part was that the agent said "We are working very hard to let your flat". The flat was a very short walk from their office and all that they did without prompting was place an advert on Rightmove and charge me nearly £3,000. A frustrating and stressful experience. I will not be using them again.

Absolutely worst ever letting agent - avoid at all costs.

The incompetence of this company is almost unbelieveable. I have been unfortunate enough to be a tenant via them for four years at two different properties. Literally every single time I have interacted with them they have made errors or been unsatisfactory in some manner. Some examples: a. demanding monies despite paying on time and on the exact date they requested payment; b. allowing me to move into a property despite not receiving confirmation of permission from the landlord; c. a member of staff losing their mobile phone on holiday that contained my personal bank card details; d. not fixing a broken boiler for six months. Please do yourself a favour and do not use this company. They are utterly incompetent and brazen about it too.

Lisa at the Blackheath store was fantastic. She met us at the property the dame day we called! She also showed us another property which we loved and ended up signing a contract on. After we'd seen both properties, she even went back to the first one we'd seen so we could view it again and make our decision! The process was fast and efficient and my husband and I were very pleased! Highly recommend!
