TrustpilotTrespassed on my property and didn't negotiate on fees
I unfortunately had a very bad experience with Dexters Kentish Town and Camden. I instructed them to sell my London flat which took longer than we desired, despite me reducing their suggested sale price several times. Fair enough, Covid restrictions probably didn't help so it's hard to pin down the reasons for the lengthy sale process.One of their agents (accompanied by the buyer!) entered my property in May 2021 without my permission at a critical time towards the completion of the sale - a shocking incident which went against the agreed contract. The unannounced and illegal entering of my property resulted in lost income from a tenant who was unhappy that his privacy was invaded and the tenant vacated our property as a result. I asked the manager for a modest discount on their fees to reflect the lost income and trespassing on my property but this was declined. Avoid.

My business partner and I reached out to a few local Estate Agents to sell our property in Canada Water and eventually went with Dexters at London Bridge because of our misconceived impression that Lauren seemed professional. Once we engaged their services then we were at the mercy of one of their agents who without a shadow of a doubt started working not on our behalf but for one particular buyer. Even after our repeated and specific requests Dexters stopped marketing our property when we accepted the offer of the said proposed buyer.Alas, on the 11th hour and just before the stamp duty holiday expired, the proposed buyer pulled out and we were unable to sell our property. Magnus could not explain why our property was completely removed from their website and all other portals.Lauren and Co very rudely ignored all our emails and telephone calls.The branch didn't have the decency to let us know that the sale fell through and my business partner had to chase them for them to put it in writing.The company reported this review and objected to me calling their conduct professional negligence so I will not express my opinion as such. I let you decide for yourself.You would be much better off avoid using this company. In my opinion of course. :)

If I could I’d give them 0 stars. Whatever you do avoid Dexters like the plague. They promise the world but consistently fail to deliver. Never ever use them especially the Maida Vale Branch. Landlords, steer clear. They are willing to mislead you all the way and promise all sorts but never deliver and seriously they’re becoming the rogue estate agents we all have bad experiences with. I’ve asked them to remove me from their contact list as I do not want to hear from them ever again!
