TrustpilotAvoid Dexters!
On two occasions have I been a tenant in properties managed by Dexters (Notting Hill) and never have I experienced anything like it. As soon as you sign the agreement you will be downgraded to a level of service that no matter how amazing the property is, you will not be enjoying the tenancy. I have on both occasions become good friends with the landlords who very much also seemed to be regretting doing business with Dexters.I strongly advise you to find another property management, both as a tenant as well as a landlord.A few examples include- not being given a key after the locks had been changed, without letting me know. - Showing up unannounced and locking themselves in.- Promised me the construction site across would only be interior work when they then started to tear down the building, leaving me no choice but to ask the landlord for an early surrender.Response to comment:Dear Evie, Thank you for your reply. I find it hard to believe that you are not able to find me in your records with the information that I have shared. However, if you are actually sincere about wanting to get to the bottom of this you should not look into my details, but instead into the DNA and organisational structure and culture of your company. My review has not been written for the sake of bettering my experience or as an appeal to Dexters, but for the sake of others to avoid making the same mistake as I did, choosing Dexters.

I made a grave error in not appointing Dexters as the estate agent to sell my flat. This was Rory Crawford-Drake's opinion and he has not ceased to express it in the three months since he came to pitch for the business. Following an email asking who we had appointed he replied, 'Crikey. Be super careful.' This was followed by others asking how many viewings we'd had, telling us how many he'd expect and so on. Even today, at this late stage, when everything is finalised, he's emailing asking about where we are with the sale and if we are under offer. Harassment? I think so. Another seller in the same block of flats warned me that she had had a poor experience with the same agent.We have never regretted our decision not to use him.

I had the most horrendous experience ever with dexters old Brompton road office. Particularly with the unprofessional and useless director called Eleanor. She constantly lied to me about the amount of viewings and whether the keys were actually working. Please do not use the service of this agency. It was disorganised and terrible. I had to leave them after 3 weeks where they wasted my time. I will never use these people again.

I have to say the Dexters - Putney office service was absolutely excellent from start to finish. I really don't think any other Estate Agent would of been able to pull this off. I had a very challenging purchase and sale which had many issues (mostly to do with the solicitors) yet Dexters team were able to handle it very well and communicate very strongly to all parties in the chain. Well done and thankyou team! Absolutely great service. A special mention goes to Verity who was an absolute savior and kept the deal going in the darkest of times with her proactive and rapid response to all road bumps. Also Harry and Charlie did a fantastic job delivering on selling the house. I would thoroughly recommend this agency to anyone if they want the very best and want to ensure the deal goes all the way to completion.

Disgusting treatment by this company. Myself and my friend went to move here on Saturday it was not deep cleaned. Both nurses- we were left with dirty pillows, dirty mattresses with stains, pubic hair.dirty toilet and toilet brush and to top it all off - MOULD in the shower and on the window sills!!! Beside the bed! We have contacted them all morning to start a plan- they have not replied to ANY emails. We are left homeless with our busy careers feeling hopeless!

We ended up with a low selling price but still a higher commission rate.Estate agents just want to make a sale and receive a commission. They Do Not Care if the price you receive is lower than you hoped for. They will Still receive a commission. You may receive £170,000 less but they only lose a teeny weeny fraction of this amount.Lesson - choose the lower commission rate estate agent.

The worst letting and property management company ever!! They do not care about the tenants, only the landlord. As long as the landlord gets a good offer, they won’t bother helping with issues in the property. And they trick you with adding stuff to your contract after you’ve signed and paid deposit / rent so you are left with no choice but accept whatever they add into the contract.
