Worst experience I have had in the UK. Rented a place to find out our neighbour is mentally ill, which made our stay unbearable (the neighbour threw rocks on our window, shouted at us on the street, took photos of us inside the house, didn't let us sleep for nights in a row banging on the floor at night etc.). We had to call the police, and it turned out we are not the first to suffer from this. But Dexters didn't do anything about it, and we had to pay £3k to get out of the contract. Then, it took us 5 months to get our deposit back with Dexters ignoring our emails for weeks. Surely, the agency should check the places they rent out for appropriate living conditions, and not just hide information like this from tenants before they sign the contract.

They rented us a flat with nothing but problems and offered no support in resolving them. Terrible communication. Hands-off mentality. The flat was supposed to be professionally cleaned upon our arrival. The attached photo is what we found in this “professionally cleaned” flat. The boiler is faulty. The AC units are tempermental. Mouse problems. Issues with the toilet. The heat barely works. We literally pay rent to a bank with bank details from a text chain. No rent reminders, no confirmation rent was received. This place is a joke and we’re paying premium.

Worst experience ever as a tenant for an apartment on Holland Road. Avoid at all costs. They will not help you out if something goes south with neighbours or landlord even though it is completely not your fault and they should have warned you about it. They will always try to maximize the amount of money they make, not customer satisfaction, and hide behind complex legal wording (including waiting out without any response for weeks so that it's not their responsibility anymore).

Highly recommend working with Thomas. It was my first time renting in London, and Thomas did a great job proactively searching for apartments within my search criteria, sending me regular updates when new apartments came to market, explaining the ins and outs of renting in London and showing me the neighborhood, and also negotiating with landlords when i needed changes to be made before signing lease agreements.
