Mirjam is amazing!!! I had initially described what I was looking for in a new apartment and she managed to find our dream flat in under a week! Throughout the entire experience, the viewings and the days following she was, and still is extremely supportive and would frequently keep us in the loop with any new information to help us with securing the property. The Dexter realtor, Elliot Moore was eager to help me in my property search. I was looking for a flat in Notting Hill but was however out of the country during this time. Elliot made sure that me being out of the country while searching for a property did not leave me at a disadvantage. He was diligent about sending me the latest properties on the market as well as clear videos of the spaces. Very helpful and efficient effort put forth by him.

Overall, a lack of communication that led to a very stressful move-in. During the viewings, the estate agents were kind as always, and accommodating about our need to find a home on short notice. As soon as the holding deposit was paid to Dexters, the mood changed. The referencing process was slow and unclear. We were told 2 days after signing the tenancy agreement that the proof we had submitted was not sufficient to convince them of our ability to pay the rent. If we wanted to move in on the agreed date, we would have to pay six months of rent immediately to the agency, because there wasn't enough time to restart the referencing process. From the tone of the emails, it felt like they were blackmailing us into paying a huge sum of money so that we wouldn't be homeless, despite us responding immediately to all of their requests. After handing over all of our savings to Dexters, we were still left in suspense about whether we would end up homeless. On the day we were supposed to move in (and two days after paying out the money) our future home was still in limbo as "the payments hadn't cleared yet". It seems that the accounting department had some trouble locating our payments. It took several hours of waiting around with our belongings in the back of a rental van before Dexters finally gave the green light and handed us the keys. All is now sorted. It seems to me that even though the agents understood the urgency and stress they were causing, fundamental problems in the Dexters organisation, be it inflexible policies or inefficient bureaucracy, prevented them from finding a good solution to the problem.

Hello I have until very recently been the worst possible prospective tenant. Imagine someone with very specific requirements, who wants everything to be perfect, and to a budget that really wasn’t properly defined. That was me! Over a period of approximately 2 months, Madeline has had to endure countless viewings, multiple car journeys and instant dismissals. I would have given up and changed my number, but Madeline handled it all with the utmost professionalism and charm. Not only enduring all of the above, but going out of her way to help find me what I was looking for. And it has finally paid off. She succeeded in what was becoming the impossible task! But the service didn’t end there. Madeline continued to be most professional and courteous whilst walking me through the application process. I couldn’t recommend Dexters, and specifically Madeline enough! An amazing service and one that made what is normally such a soul destroying and draining experience - looking for a property - into something as stress free and assured as possible. If you are looking for a property to let or rent in Notting Hill, before you do anything else, I implore you to call Dexters and ask for Madeline. And even though I’ve spelt her name incorrectly throughout this entire email, she will handle the situation with impeccable professionalism and good humor.

It’s been a great experience so far with Dexters. The entire process has been smooth and efficient, took us less than a month from searching for the right property to signing the contract, thanks to the help from Madeleine. Our property manager Annabel has been really supportive after we moved in, helped us contacting the landlord and getting all the minor issues solved within a few days. She’s also been super responsive through phone and email. Overall very professional service. Would definitely recommend to anyone moving over to London.

I worked together with Will Dodds. He advised me and my Girlfriend diligently for approx 2 month and we ultimately found the perfect flat. William Dodds at Dexters Notting Hill is, simply put, the best agent we have ever used. He assessed our needs perfectly and escorted us around a short list of properties as you would expect but without the pacey pressure some agents apply. He is knowledgeable about each property, able to make helpful suggestions and can advise on the lifestyle you can expect in the area. He is up front about the pros AND the cons (which is refreshing!). He’s a reassuring link between home owner and tenant, attentive to both parties’ needs, and has a negotiator’s sense of flexibility but if the fit is not a good one, he won’t force it, he’ll move on. And that engenders trust. His affable nature, confident style, clear and responsive communication really took the stress out of the hunt. We have really great experience with Dexters form Notting HIll Office. Our agent was/still is Jess. She is amazing person, She cared to listen, and showed us properties which would suits us most. She tried to understand what we were looking for. Within 5 years in London we have met couple of different agents which were never listening . They didn't know anything about property. Jess was well prepared and her personality convinced us to rent from Dexters. She showed us 3 flats and we have chosen 2nd one ( perfect location, and budget) She was answering all questions. We were served by Jessica and she was exceptional with giving us advice on the market here, helping us understand the rental process, and most of all understanding our needs for a property. We were very fortunate to have our property search handled by Connor Stewart at the Notting Hill office. He immediately grasped the sort of property we were looking for, meaning we were not shown anything that wasn't quite right. Not only did this save us a great deal of time, but demonstrates a degree of intuition and attention to detail around an area that has been a consistent source of frustration with other estate agents. This alone really puts Connor's service in the top-drawer. On finding our property, Connor was very responsive and quick to help with our questions throughout the contract process. Wherever issues arose, he was quick to make suggestions for how they might be solved and did his best to help. We are delighted with the property and the service from Connor really stood out among competitors.
