I have recently dealt with Ellie Padgett from Wetherells Estate Agents. The process was very smooth with Ellie being very efficient on all fronts. We had a slight issue at check-in and Ellie handled the matter very promptly even meeting me on-site personally. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ellie and Wetherells. From the dealings I have had with her, I would say she is an asset to the organisation and you are lucky to have her!

I felt like Dexters put in a real effort and went the extra mile to get my flat sold. The process ran for nearly a year due to a few hiccups but at each step Dexters made good recommendations and never seemed to lose energy throughout. I've just moved from NY which is scary as it is and not really knowing the areas well enough, let alone dealing with an agent rather than the landlord directly was a very different experience for me. I thought having Jordan as the middleman would create issues with my communication with the landlord or it would be lost in translation, but I was wrong. Jordan was extremely prompt with every answer to the questions I asked and got everything done per how I wanted it to be. I'm extremely happy with with how professional he is and how helpful he was (and is) on any issues/disputes with the flat and has expressed many times that he is always there for help if needed. Thanks Jordan for making a, what could be a scary experience, very pleasant!

Excellent after service

We have been renting through Dexters and have found the whole experience to be a really positive one. Sometimes agencies can be great for the initial deal and drop off, but we have had the opposite experience. We have been really impressed by the management service provided by Dexters. In particular, property manager Khalisha has been exceptional; really going above and beyond to be as helpful as possible. 5 stars!

If negative stars were an option, Dexters would win hands down. I proudly award them the title of the Worst Lettings Agency I Have Ever Used, and I lived in Guatemala for a year. Frankly, homelessness would be a preferable alternative to dealing with these smarmy, incompetent estate agents. Moving Day Disaster Dexters nearly left me homeless due to their sheer incompetence. On the very day I was due to move out of my previous residence and collect the keys to my new flat, I was informed that there was an issue with my reference checks. Until that point, they had reassured me repeatedly that everything was fine. The agent had inexplicably forwarded my reference information using my incorrect contact information and provided a random company address in Leicester, despite knowing I work in central London. Unsurprisingly, the referencing company was baffled by the idea of me commuting from a warehouse in Leicester to central London.. I had to scramble to resolve this fiasco through their useless third-party referencing company, LettingsHub (a story for another day). Together, Dexters and LettingsHub are like a budget Batman and Robin, if Batman and Robin’s mission was to make prospective tenants homeless instead of fighting crime. Calculated or Clueless? When I moved into the property, I explicitly confirmed with the same agent (yes, the one with the “impressive track record”) that I could move out early, provided I found a replacement tenant. This was important as I had an upcoming surgery. In early October, I lined up my replacement tenant and initiated the process of moving out and began liaising with a new agent, who was slow to respond but assured me everything was in hand. Then, at the end of October, nearly a month later, they informed me that I couldn’t leave unless the other tenants agreed to a one-month extension. A few days later, they revised this to two months because they had dragged their feet for so long that there wasn’t enough time to process the tenancy changeover. Dexters’ incompetence isn’t just inconvenient, it’s outright irresponsible. They fail at even the most basic aspects of their role, creating chaos and stress for their clients. Avoid them at all costs unless you enjoy chaos, stress, and the very real possibility of being left without a home.
