absolutely! stay away. employees give incomplete or even wrong information, do not trust them and definitely dont give money without seeing the room. I gave money, I gave up from the room, but they didn't return my money, later I learned that the money I gave was commission. It was written in the contract. but I did not see a contract, I did not read it, I did not sign it. If they get a money for any excuse, you won't be able to get it back. citizensadvice complained fraud, the rest will come

GoogleThe bad comments are true and I do not recommend this agency at all, which wasted my time and told me to “get out” of the agency. I had an appointment at a specific time with an agent, once I arrived someone told me that this agent was not at the agency, while I was talking to him on the phone. I asked to see the room for which I had sent a message via Facebook and only this one, the agent told me that it had not been on the market for a long time, he absolutely wanted me to take one of their room which in the photos was all in pitiful condition and at prices well beyond my budget. As I didn't want to after 2 announcements, he told me to leave with an angry face. No need to tell me to write to your customer service, you don't even deserve to be paid a single cent.NegativeProfessionalism

GoogleWorst agency in London, don't go there even by mistake, one star is too much!!! they put fake ads to attract people, once you get to the office strangely the room no longer exists!!! they only show you rooms on the PC, they put pressure on you and you have to pay immediately without even being visited and once you have paid you can no longer go back and you have lost your money, SCAMMERS, all the 5 star reviews are fake, the real ones are all 1 star reviewsNegativeQuality

Jafar helped me to protect my deposit from my previous landlord and offered me three rooms to choose. They are all within my budget and within 10 min walking distance to the nearby tube station. He is very friendly and kindly. Thank for him, I can settle down in London immediately.

I could write a whole book about my awful experience with city rooms... they are so unhelpful... 2 months with no internet connection while we were paying as normal our rent, 1 month without a washing machine - if something was broken it would take months to fix it! the situation in the house was awful as the cleaner would appear every 20 days so I was the only one cleaning for 5 people in the house and much more. most parts of the house would have never been cleaned! the cleaner was there for 30-40 minutes... to clean a whole kitchen plus a bathroom and communal areas. not to mention they overcharge you and when we went to rent a room, very desperate to find one at that time, they were claiming it was bills included. but when you read the contract you see that the landlord would pay a ridiculously small amount for gas and electricity! and lastly, when the landlord asked for his flat back, they didn't let us leave when we wanted (2 weeks earlier - while we had a contract for 3 more months) but they tried to force us to pay the remaining amount of rent. Also, we moved out in August and we are now about to get our deposit after a dispute. because they are liars and thieves! But most of all for your own peace of mind STAY AWAY! we have never experienced such a bad situation with other agencies and we have moved around London a lot (5 flats in total).

GoogleI wanted to share my experience as, after reading the various negative reviews, I was concerned about the level of.service we may receive. I have to say, I was delighted with the professionalism and attentiveness shown. The apartment was exactly as described and was clean, neat and tidy. Thank you City Rooms, you did us proud!

GoogleDON'T GO to this agency, they just want your deposit money. French people, really avoid this agency. A disaster. They will force you to take accommodation in very dubious ways. All agents are paid on commission with a minimal salary... so they are sharks and soulless.

The worst agency I worked with. The service they provide is horrible plus they don't even return the deposit. Real headache. Never again.13/10 - Hi cityrooms. Thanks for your reply. Very Bad experience with this agency .Will never recommend it to anyone.Have been contacting them several times and No proper response 3 weeks now. the booking had to be cancelled due to some reason they deducting half deposit nd for the remains deposit money, they aren't even responding

TrustpilotCharged a deposit just to view a property
I had the same issue as another reviewer (review from 27 Jun 2019). The agents led me to believe I could not view a property without paying a deposit first. I was not happy with the property when I saw it in person, and asked for a refund, but this was denied. After 2 weeks of correspondence with the lettings manager, I still remain incredibly frustrated with his response in dealing with my issue. He has given many excuses, made references to policies that are actually in my favour, decided that he was actually present in the original conversation and told me I never asked to inspect the property first (incorrect), and finally offered me credit towards another property (which I cannot claim as I now have a lease with a different agency), and yet has not provided me with a clear reason as to why the amount cannot be refunded directly back into my account. This needless waste of money has caused me so much distress.

My daughter (Marisol Eichborn) paid for a reservation, they canceled it weeks later with an excuse of construction, she demanded a refund and they have been making incredible excuses for more than a month, without returning anything. It's their strategy: steal from children. We are going to report Cityrooms and its collaborators Jorge Sanchez and Thomas Prentout. / THEY HAVE PROFESSIONAL SWINDLERS IN THEIR TEAM. MY DAUGHTER PAID FOR A RESERVATION, WHICH WAS CANCELLED A FEW WEEKS LATER DUE TO AN EXCUSE (REFORMATIONS NEEDED IN THE BUILDING), AND WHEN SHE ASKED SEVERAL TIMES FOR HER MONEY BACK, THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING, GIVING INCREDIBLE EXCUSES. THEIR METHOD OF STEALING MONEY FROM THE KIDS IS CLEAR. WE´LL DENOUNCE CITYROOMS AND MR. JORGE SANCHEZ + THOMAS PRENTOUT TO THE POLICE.

GoogleAssuming that we had requested a room with a private bathroom (after having changed it because they had assigned us a room in zone 3 even though our requests had been different), we arrived at the house a week after the contract and discovered that it was neither equipped nor roomed with en-suite, and it wasn't even the one seen in the agency photos. Terrible service considering the lack of help, especially following unforeseen events such as forgetting the code to access the room, and failure to respond after discovering that they had entered the wrong room. We will have the possibility - as they say - to change rooms for free within a week, but for the moment this is not recommended!

GoogleI experienced a really smooth transition with help from Dleron to move into my new flat. All within a week, with no problems. I recommend city rooms if you're wanting a stress free process with finding a new home.
