TrustpilotUnprofessional company. Play you with unreturned key and overuse of energy bills without smart meter or proof.
City Rooms is one of the most unprofessional, dishonest and non customer friendly rental company on the housing market. They take every opportunity to take or keep your money dishonest way especially if you do not understand the UK Law. Do not panic. Get professional help if you need to deal with them. They are mostly not following the rules. Report them straight. Company like this needs to be stopped.They are sending out enormous bills to pay. They don't install smart meter on purpose so you can't see the real data. They say to you. Overused gas and electricity. They don't provide proof. They send you bills where displays EDF owe money back to them because you are under use the facility as working day and night. No one stays more than three months. They ask you to leave the key in the room after you terminated the contract and later they say to you. You did not return the key and they ask you to pay 300 pounds. Even the director of the company bombarding you with emails. Disrespect tenants. All you are to them Money, Money, Money. Avoid this company and report them.

I lived in a house with lowest standard of hygiene and maintenance - old/dirty/weekly leaks (the smell...don't let me start) - I was relocated when eventually the situation got too bad with the leaks, to another terrible house. But the best part? they kept 140£ for bill over usage (: be ready cause they do it with every one.

GoogleI’m wondering how come this agency still existing. Unfortunately people don’t read the reviews before to rent any room with this agency and keep lying people. When I went to give them back the keys there were about 6 7 people waiting. A friend of mine told me that if you want to see the room before which I don’t they do, you have to pay 1 for week, how is that. To pay for what? It is unbelievable how they do. They put bills included because at the end of tenancy they can deduct your deposit under the pretext of over usage bills. DON’T PAY ANY DEPOSIT!

GoogleI’ve been with city rooms for 6 months, Claudia one of the agents was very professional and quick in getting me a room for myself and my partner. Another thing that made my staying with city rooms very pleasant was the customer service (5 stars), every time we had a problem in our place, that problem was solved within one day or even in the same day, something a lot of letting agencies should take notes. The reason I didn’t gave 5 stars was because city rooms didn’t do viewings (which turned out to be fine as the room was nice) also the Claim in their ads “all bills included” is actually an allowance. (They pay roughly half of the bills), not a deal breaker, although made me a bit uneasy at the beginning for just finding out that after renting the room.

GoogleIf there was a 0 rating i would have definitely gone for this. Paying 1200 pound for a double bedroom. The wifi does not work and have been complaining from 4 months. They dont take any action. They would just pretend to care in phone call but never take any action. Nobody in this house is 1% satisfied with theri services. They are running a scam here.

I had a overall good experience with cityrooms. Jafar, the agent I dealt with was really nice, friendly and much helpful. He helped me find a really good room in a nice building and the pictures were exactly as shown. Moreover he provided great costumer service even after I had booked the room and paid for it, always available to answer questions.

As other posts have said, once they get you in the office they will show you photos of rooms and demand £500 non-refundable deposit before agreeing to let you see any in person.Their agent Rob laughed at me for asking to see a room before I handed over £500 and said he was ‘too busy. Should be illegal.The positive reviews are obvious fakes

I don't have much experience renting as renting from this company has been my first time ever, but overall renting from them I believe was a good choice. For example my agent Gio helped me with his car to bring a desk in my new room. They are very welcoming and open to help as much as they can when you ask.

Since 1 year, I deal with cityrooms. I'm happy to deal with this agency because they have one of the best services : the Relocation Service. I changed 2 times my rooms for try few areas. Lilian, rented me 2 differents rooms in some good properties with some good flatmates. My contract is finish in 1 month and I will extend it.

Me and some of my friends had very very bad experience. Don't trust in City Rooms because it is one of the worst estate agency in London. 0 Assistance 0 Services and bad houses. They never kept their promises and they usually still money from deposit. They also blocked me on Facebook to not let me write a bad feedback. BAD AGENCY.

I lived at two of their properties and can say I was satisfied with their services. The agent at that time was Alessandra Spaziano and she was always available to help even after she rented the rooms to me. Also they helped in a satisfying timing when there were issues in the house such as boiler problems or facilities were breaking.

GoogleTime has passed now, but the memory of this agency is unfortunately indelible. Worst experience ever with an agency. Other friends of mine have had the same (or even worse) problems. If you want to get off to a good start or live well in London, this is definitely not a good starting point.

Like some I had a bad experience at the start with an agent Cos the place was dirty and he didn’t care. But... I contacted the office about it and the next day they immediately send a crew of cleaners to clean up. Also gave certain waiver on charges of it. Honestly all in all great service!

Good value for money. The rooms are average to good. Nothing luxurious. Just basic sharing. The maintenance chat is very efficient, all runs smoothly through an app called fixflo.When I took my room I wasn't able to see but have had no issues in the process.Not bad at all.
