I have been with Chestertons for years, letting out my flat in Clapham. When my husband died and the tenants left early at the same time, Chestertons Battersea (and in particular Alice Karn and Gary Noone) left no stone unturned to help me find new tenants as soon as possible. Leusa helped me find and move into my flat over the past 3 months. She has been the most lovely and caring agent I have worked with. It wasn’t a straightforward process as there was “competition” for the property I wanted to rent, but she communicated very well, during the offer process, and thereafter. Always available, answering questions fast, iterating with the landlord on my questions, but above all, I really felt she was transparent with me throughout the process and never tried to push me in any unreasonable way. Very happy to have met her!

GoogleI've just exchanged contracts on the sale of my house through Chestertons acting as sole agent. Although their fees aren't the lowest in the area, they are more than justified by their performance. Scott set an ambitious target for the listing and the achieved price was above asking price. I'm much better off financially than if I'd gone with one of the '1% er’ agents in the area. The time from listing to offer accepted was an impressive 13 days! Scott provided oversight throughout and Will did a great job finding a quality buyer, negotiating and proactively managing the whole process through to exchange of contracts. Chestertons set high expectations and over-delivered; highly recommended.

GoogleI’m a first time buyer who’s been viewing flats for the past month or so. The agent at Chesterton’s, Lloyd, cancelled a viewing 15 minutes before it was due to happen when I was already 45 minutes into an hour long trip to view the property. Didn’t bother calling during the day (despite what their response below says - I had no missed calls and specifically checked my voicemails after finding out the viewing was cancelled to understand what had happened and there was nothing) or sending an email cancellation when they knew the property was unavailable for viewing from the day before. Really unprofessional, unorganized, thoughtless and a big waste of time. All in all, a negative experience. Won’t be considering them when I’m ready to sell.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism
Hi Alexandra, We are sorry to hear this was your experience, and have investigated this with the team and checked our records to see what happened. We can see that the viewing was unable to go ahead due to the property going under-offer. As soon as our team were aware of this, they tried to call you on two occasions at 3:30pm. After the second call where they were unable to hold of you, they left a voicemail. A further call was made later on as we had not heard back from our earlier message. We appreciate that perhaps you could not check your voicemails, so in future will be sure to text & email as and when cancellations happen for viewings. Chestertons have been bombarding me with junk mail which are just full of the typical nonsense such as "Your property is particularly sought after""Chesterton has a list of buyers"Which is nonsense as (without going into reasons) our home is not at all sought after.Told them to stop sending us junk but they don't stop, hence the review.

My experience with Chestertons has been mixed. The people I spoke with has been friendly, however the communication could be greatly improved.I constantly had to chase for information for moving in, I didn't receive any information at all about the scheduled time for check-in to the apartment, no information about how to register for concierge, gym, etc. Another thing, which was surprising to learn, is that I will be dealing with the landlord directly instead of Chestertons - I was never informed of this throughout the process and only learnt this on the move-in day..
