My friend and I rented a property through Chase&Evans for almost 2 years and just recently moved out. Max Watson, our property manager, has gone above and beyond throughout our tenancy. His communication and the effort he puts in is easily a 10/10. As tenants, we consistently felt that our concerns were addressed with care and professionalism. Catarina did a great job in handling my deposit refund issue upon my lease termination. She responded to emails promptly and was able to explain that the delay in processing was mainly due to the landlord's lack of response. When I provided evidence and raised objections to the deductions requested by the landlord, Catarina also promptly expressed understanding and offered her follow-up suggestions.While many department heads at Chase Evans couldn't provide good communication and professional assistance, Catarina managed to improve my impression of this company somewhat.

I compared multiple agencies and this one has a reasonable price. The service has been great, which is good for international landlords. I basically don’t have to worry about anything. Noel Ng, my building manger is professional and highly dependable. She manages to chase the money back for the heating and hot water bills from my previous tenants (it was a 1000 pounds). I rented with Chase Evans for 2 years, and I would not recommend the agency. The agency is extremely slow to reply, and always avoid maintenance tasks. The property was not professionally cleaned when I moved in, and there were dead bugs, hairs, and possessions of previous tenants. Worst of all, they charged me nearly £200 of my deposit for what is mostly wear and tear. Charges included £35 for forgetting to change the fire alarm batteries. They are one of many estate agencies in London that always take the side of the landlord, and live off the back of the tenant.

Edit: follow up: Feb 2024- DO NOT RENT FROM CHASE EVANS IN SEREN PARK GARDENS, GREENWICH. The customer service department is extremely useless with little say in anything. I would not suggest renting ANY ADVERTISED property in Seren Park Gardens or any other place - save yourself from being scammed into high rent prices and low quality housing These are the following issues I have had to encounter within 2 months of moving. 1. An uneven floor - floor board raised at 70 deg angles - After a million follow ups, the floor boards were taken out and replaced temporarily with corex. No follow up to put back the floor boards has happened yet. 2. Leaks through windows - Despite opening a ticket 3 months ago - no follow up or further work has been undertaken 3. The list of appliances that broke down within days of my moving or was already broken when I moved in - Boiler stopped working - heat stopped working -broken kitchen storage door - smoke detector alarms - fridge door hinge - fridge door stopped closing properly - I had requested this be taken up on priority but is still open after 2,5 weeks 3. Despite a million follow ups and outlining these issues, there has been no negotiation on reduction in rent amounts or strict action against scamming employees and agents (Jack / Ahmad) SAVE YOURSELVES TIME, MONEY AND ENERGY AND GO WITH OTHER HONEST AND ETHICAL PROPERTY AGENTS., , , , , , , , , I unfortunately had a pathetic and disappointing experience with chase evans as a whole. I was not informed of a raised floor and leak issue in the bedroom despite the previous tenant reporting them. From the time I viewed the apartment to the time I moved in was almost a month and the issues worsened making the floor unable to walk on. Within days of moving there was a problem with the boiler, the heat didn’t work, while few functions on the washing machine didn’t work. What is more appalling is not just the deception regarding the flooring and leak issues but also the inability to come to the table to renegotiate the lease despite following up numerous times. There are no words to express my disappointment and frustration. Despite calling and texting my agents (Jack and Ahmad) multiple times i am being ghosted in renegotiation of the lease. I will never recommend anyone I know or don’t know to lease or buy from any of the Chase Evans offices given sub standard business practices. Not responding and be willing renegotiate with tenants (who can turn into potential buyers) is a sure way of burning multiple bridges. It is unfortunate that a business of this scale fails to understand this nuance.
