After the report, our property manager Edmond arranged us with a very professional cleaning company immediately which also includes carpet cleaning. The whole process was quick and easy.

TrustpilotBeware! Will withhold deposits unjustifiably
We rented a flat with CE from Feb 19 until Jan 23. Generally CE were responsive when it came to maintenance issues and the move-in process was fine. However, it is very well documented within the London market that moving out of rental properties can be problematic. For this reason we did everything we needed to do and got the flat professionally cleaned by a company recommended by CE and actually left the flat in a better condition than we moved in (confirmed with the check out report!) The professional cleaners (which was expensive!!) didn’t even clean all the cobwebs that had gathered in certain areas. Certainly not expected when paying premium for a cleaning company recommended by CE who “clean to their check out standards”. When we received the check out report it was noted that while one of the blinds worked fine the blind cord had snapped and needed a new connector - we accepted this. We were floored to then receive an email saying 10% of our deposit was being withheld to repair this cord connector. From researching how much it would cost to correct, this amount was completely unjustifiable. We provided evidence of how much we thought it would be and gave them a counter offer which was declined. We were told to go to mydeposits and raise a dispute. We repeatedly asked CE to justify this cost which we never received. We also offered to fix it ourselves. We were just fobbed off and told to just raise a dispute which, we did. After four months mydeposits validated our argument that the amount they withheld was unreasonable and we will receive over half the withheld deposit money back. It turns out the amount was based upon a single figure from a contractor who didn’t even provide specifics in their email. CE should be ashamed of how this situation was dealt with and rethink how they deal with their contractors and who their contractors are as this was just a blatant money grab. London agencies have the reputation they do for a reason and CE solidify this reputation. Beware!!

GoogleStay away from this company. Their property management is terrible. They don’t protect your deposit! We lost our deposit when we moved out because of their unprofessional attitudes!!!
