GoogleCASTLES LETTING AGENTS in Edmonton. Why you should steer clear. In 2023 they managed my property where in 2024 I took over as I lived a couple of doors down from the property and the tenants were not getting any replies when they needed something repaired through castles. In 2024 I started to noticed overcrowding and lies from the tenants. I decided to look into their reference checks and I was told originally they were husband, wife with a brother forming as a family under the tenancy agreement, only to realise there was no connection of family with different surnames and the house could literally be a HMO (house of multiple occupancy) castles had lied to me about the relationship and the documents of the husband was not the same photo of the husband I was introduced too. Castles was more interested in getting the commission. Now I’ve worked them out they have become nightmare tenants (all going through the courts as I write this) today I decided to pick up the house keys as castles never sent them or dropped them off to me. Yes it’s been 8 months too long with the keys. When I went to pick them up i came across the Lettings manager David Manning whom decided to shout out to me with what I’m doing with a drug dealers car!! Now I would say that is not a very professional standard being set from him. He was offensive and stereotyping myself for having a nice car. This will be taken up with senior management and I do hope they have cameras recording in the office so this could be picked up on. Not a respectful agency and be careful with who they bring into your property.

Firstly, regarding the tenant referencing, we can confirm that all information provided to us about the tenants' family relationship was given by the tenants themselves during the application process. We rely on the accuracy of the information provided to us and, like all agencies, we cannot be held responsible for misrepresentations made by tenants. In terms of property maintenance, we have no record of any unresponded-to repair requests from the tenants. We always aim to resolve maintenance matters promptly and professionally. Regarding the incident at our office, I want to reiterate my apology for the comment made about your car. I can assure you it was not my intention to cause any offense or to be unprofessional. The comment was meant as a compliment, and I regret that it came across otherwise. We take all feedback seriously, as our reputation is built on trust and a commitment to providing excellent service to our clients. We believe the information in your review contains inaccuracies that could be damaging to our business, especially as they do not reflect our standard of care. GoogleI would highly recommend Stuart from Castles Estate Agents. Castles represented us in respect of a sale of a property. It was an extremely difficult, arduous and complicate sale. Stuart was very proficient, diligent and tenacious and I think without his input the sale would have fallen apart.

GoogleThe house was originally put on the market before Covid. Interest was good and Castles handled the viewings efficiently. The advice regarding presentation was good and a buyer was quickly found. Sadly the first buyer did not complete because of Covid. After lockdown the house was put back on the market and a new buyer found in less than two weeks. Again Castles handled the viewings with special measures in place to keep everyone safe. The house sold for the exact price predicted by Stuart. I would use Castles again along with their preferred partner Solicitors Martin Shepherd. Both firms were competitive on price and they communicated very well during difficult times caused by Covid lockdown.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

GoogleI have recently Let my property through Castles Letting Agents in Edmonton. What an amazing service I have received from the start! They are managing the whole Tenancy for me. Alex Philippou, the Lettings Manager, has dealt with my matter with the utmost professionalism and care. He has always been there to answer any questions, or to advise where necessary. I can't recommend Alex and Castles enough if you wish to Rent out your property. It was all new territory to me, but with his help I have sailed through. I would also mention David Edgar with whom I had initial contact, who has also been very helpful and informative. A great team!

GoogleWe worked with a real estate company that was supposed to show us the house when we wanted to see it. The tenant showed us the house. They had no idea about the furniture or the issues. Previously, I commented on the problems, and they asked us to remove the review, promising to resolve the issues. After two months of effort, we managed to remove the moldy items on our own. However, despite their promise regarding the electrical outlets, they did nothing. Now one of the electrical devices has even broken. When we emailed them, they said they are no longer involved with that house. We went through an incredibly amateurish process.
