B&S sold my property professionally and with very responsive communication which I like. They were always there quickly to discuss things and give me strong advice. My property was non-standard as it was timber framed however they have good experience with this and I believe that their access to the London market helped get the sale.In the final week when paperwork issues arose from the solicitors, they were on it every day and pushing hard to make the completion happen.Well done team!

I have just completed on a Property purchased from the team at Butler and Stag, from the very offset meeting Chris the office manager at the Property for the viewing. I have found the team to be extremely professional with regular calls from Amanda during the process keeping things on track. Calls and emails are always answered in a timely manner.As a result of the service I received from the Sales Team headed up by Tony again very prompt at dealing with queries, I decided to ask Wayne from the rental team to source a tenant which again they have done. Again very professional keeping me in the loop at all times which resulted in sourcing an excellent tenant who moved in a day after completion.Highly recommend this team great work guys keep up the good work.

We have recently exchanged on our apartment in Mile End, as per the normal selling / purchasing process it had its issues and added stresses / tensions, but overall we were happy with the outcome. In order to give an honest review, I must say we had teething problems at the beginning, and this could be because the individual whom we were originally working with left the company and so I think we fell into a grey area, communication totally ceased and we had to wait longer than acceptable to receive any fee structure from B&S, in this time two other estate agents had already provided us with a fee structure and followed up to see what our thoughts were etc. Once this was resolved the actual viewings went really well, we were always given sufficient time to prepare for them and they were well organised so it meant we didn’t need to be out of the house all day. We put the house on the market around October and accepted an offer in January. Amanda in the aftersales team was great, she kept momentum and was really good at pushing things forward behind the scenes, maintaining communication and mediating between solicitors, us and the buyers even when tensions were high. It was nice to not need to chase her for updates instead she provided them prior to that need arising. It took us a while, but we got there in the end! Thank you 😊

I’d like to describe the excellent service provided by Butler & Stag in our East London flat sale in 2021. The flat was put on the market in August 2020 and by October already had bids. We finalized on an offer in November. Nikos Karamanlis, Robert Burgess and Athos Kleanthous of Butler & Stag managed the file well and al its moving parts and helped in communications with the buyer and their solicitor and kept us well-informed and updated, especially when quick decisions were needed. What you want are agents who are responsive, know how to speak to the parties, all with an aim to getting to the finish line. Butler & Stag have this in spades and my wife and I are so happy we went with them when we could have picked any one of the bigger agents offices that had many branches in London and in the UK. What I have found is that local knowledge and the get-up-and-go are needed to make any sale happen, and for East London, the agents to go to are Butler & Stag!PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

I'm genuinely astonished by the positive reviews on here. My experience with Butler and Stag was a nightmare from start to finish. Perhaps the experience is positive for landlords, but as a tenant this was amongst the worst service I have ever experienced. When I went to look at the property it was being renovated and I was assured it would be finished by the time I moved in (which was three months away so I didn't think this would be too difficult). However, when I moved into the property there were no white goods in place, no lightbulbs, no heating (which initially was the case for around 3 months in the middle of winter), the wiring was not complete and the flat was filthy. This happened despite me having called and emailed multiple times to check things were in order, and being told it would be ready for me to move into. After moving in, I was constantly trying to sort things out to no avail, and they refused to negotiate a rent discount (even though, in my opinion, the flat was not fit to live in). When it came to moving out of the flat, they wanted to take deposit off me for cleaning (the flat was in a much better state than when I arrived, as evidenced by their own itinerary), a carbon monoxide monitor that had never been installed and had been left in a pile of rubbish (again evidenced), for one replacement lightbulb (there were zero in the whole flat when I arrived - I had to borrow one from next door) and for the marks their white goods installers had left on the wall (to be fair I didn't have evidence for this, but it was still annoying and felt like I was being robbed).The whole thing was incredibly stressful, and I wish I had never been anywhere near this company. It was such a shame, because the flat itself was beautiful, but was ruined by such an awful experience.
