We are moving from the USA to the UK and enlisted Chesterton’s help to find a flat to let. We dealt with several branches & agents, but by far the most helpful was Shannon Kearns. She showed us more properties than all the other agents combined! More importantly, she took the time to educate us about the area throughout the day. We could tell she really has her customers’ best interests at heart and was assertive without ever being pushy. We would work together with her in the future without hesitation.

I have been consistently misled by the local office that looks after Barnes and Mortlake over several years. Originally it was attributed to a turnover in staff and the problem was so big we naturally gave the time to resolve. However, our patience was misplaced. 10s of visits, emails, and meetings, and two years later, still nothing has been done. They have done a professional job of obfuscation and created the illusion of service. However, quotes have been lost, very few follow-up calls, and communication by omission and many, many quotes have been arranged, keeping us busy and under the impression, something was happening, but nothing.

Cancel viewing at last minute despite builder and myself travelling for a 2nd viewing in order to make an offer. No ability or care from staff to others putting themselves out on a Saturday other than... come on Monday!!!! Yeah great... I'll put my job aside because you can't do yours!!! At least 2 different ppl sitting in the office who couldn't leave their chairs to accommodate my viewing- very angry and will not use them again!!Update- what makes it worse, on Monday I get an email saying an offer came in on the property!!!! Totally unprofessional and unacceptable of the Putney branch! Will now do my utmost to say away from this firm and tell all my friends to do likewise

GoogleUsed the Services of Behr & Butchoff for renting a property in NW8. Have been dealing with them since 1987 although had a break for a number of years when the property was not rented. Worked with Nina (and in the past Richard). Very professional and efficient. Effective follow through on outstanding matters. Treated like a loyal customer on rental fees but costs on management (especially where any work is required) needs to be watched. Find a flat that I like. Bradley is very helpful, quick and attentive. I got the offer accepted by the landlord within a couple hours. He also helped me to find an affordable internet service. Though, their preference checking system can be quite lengthy.
