GoogleWest Kensington branch absolutely appalling run by the most unprofessional man. Firstly didn’t inform me at the viewing or anytime afterwards that next door would soon become a complete building site from top to bottom, nor that there was a railway line behind the house. He called me several times to increase the asking price that I had offered. I should have walked away then. We gave notice to leave early due to finding out about the planned building works and the crazy neighbour at the top of the house and paid a hefty fee, so did not expect the agent to become uncontactable, gone away to Serbia according to the Landlord, and could not be contacted for weeks on end. His colleagues were unable to help finalise accounts of the money due to be returned after we paid our rent upfront. Nearly four weeks after moving out the agent finally contacted me and sent me correspondence with incorrect sums leading the landlord to chance requesting this miscalculation back. Nearly 6 weeks later and I still haven’t received my full deposit back as agreed. The agent is untrustworthy as is his client who he’s been working with for 15 years. Andreja the agent Is deceitful, dishonest, unregulated, disgusting attitude, money grabbing, the list goes on. Use at your peril. Avoid at all costs!

The worst agency ever. All they can do is take money from the landlords and then provide zero service. John Fenton - area manager - has not actioned my complaint for three weeks - I want all of the fees I paid refunded.The tenants were not properly referenced (the agency lied they were a family), I could not get access to the property even with notice and therefore couldn’t do sale viewings, the agency didn’t chase rent arrears, it didn’t help me negotiate deductions for damage to my property from the deposit and didn’t do a check-out report.Two months after the tenants have moved out my complaint has not been actioned,I have not got any of the deposit or rent arrears.I told John Fenton and his superiors I have posted a review, as I was very disappointed with the service and even sent them a screenshot. Instead of actioning my complaint Barnard Marcus complained to TrustPilot that my review was fake and tried to have it removed. I then had to provide confidential documents such as rent statements to prove my review was real.Worst service imaginable.Avoid!

Shame on you nicole from north finchley branch. Ive had a horrific experience with marcus barnard agency in north finchley. I went in looking to rent a flat that i liked. I followed absolutely everything submitted my documents and bank statements on time. Only for them to message me and lie about my refrencing telling me it has failed even though there was no reason for it to fail. ( obviously not giving me a proper reason they just said its failed and i asked why? they said we dont know ill have my manager call you which he never did!!!!!!! ) These people are liars and thieves they steal from people and took advantage of me bearing in mind i am disabled i feel discriminated against as i wasnt given an actual reason. These people steal money and lie about refrencing i am very shocked by this whole situation i have lost out on money and valuable time with these people. Im talking about the north finchley branch they are horrible if i can give 1 star i would. AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU DONT WANT THEM STEALING FROM YOU.

TrustpilotI will NEVER use Barnard Marcus Epsom again
I will never use Barnard Marcus Epsom again. They handed keys to a tenant without having the tenancy agreement signed. We currently have tenants in £19000 rent arrears and Barnard Marcus have become less co-operative. Can I add they took half their annual fee upfront at the start of the tenancy back in September 2022. We are disgusted and will never use this company again. Always ask which credit agency they have used to vet their applicants and the thresholds used before signing a new tenant, this threshold can differ and be costly to you in the long term.

Very poor customer service, we moved out of the flat 2months ago and till today we still haven't received our deposit. The Worcester park branch is not very helpful to get our deposit, they only said that they can't do anything because they're waiting for the landlord, if they reply it will take days and their reply was not helpful and they don't bother to give any solution, and during our stay we had a hard time because our boiler got broken multiple times and getting to them is so hard as usual they reply after days and weeks.

My experience with Barnard Marcus estate agents was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. I was excited to sell my property and move on to the next chapter of my life, but unfortunately, this process ended up being a major source of stress and anxiety.One of the first issues that arose was the fact that the agency encouraged me to overprice my property. At the time, I trusted their expertise and experience, but in hindsight, I now realize that this was a major mistake. As a result of this overpricing, the level of footfall and interest in my property was much lower than it should have been, leading to a protracted and frustrating sales process.In addition, the level of communication from the agency was simply not up to par. I found that I had to constantly chase them for updates and feedback, and every time I called, I was told that the person dealing with my sale was either on a day off or sick. This made me feel like they were not taking my sale seriously and led to me feeling very frustrated and anxious. It was simply not a good experience.To make matters worse, they offered me a lower rate selling fee as an employee referral, but it turned out to be a higher rate than other estate agents. I felt misled and taken advantage of. The agency was simply not transparent with their fees and charged me more than what they should have.The worst part of my experience with Bernard Marcus, however, was when I realized that they were failing as estate agents, but would not let me out of my contract or move to a dual estate agent without significant penalties. I felt like I was trapped and had no other option but to stick with them, which meant that I lost the house I had an offer accepted on. The moment I changed estate agents at the end of our term of contract, the other estate agents got a buyer the very next day.In conclusion, I would not recommend Barnard Marcus estate agents to anyone. Their practices were unethical and unprofessional, causing me a great deal of stress and leading to a negative outcome. I regret trusting them with the sale of my property and hope that others can learn from my experience.

I had a positive experience with Barnard Marcus, specifically with Zuzanna. She went above and beyond to find a property for me and tried to fit my specifications as much as possible.I have never had such an outgoing and positive experience with an estate agent. I could tell she truly cared about finding me a place and not just doing a job.she should get a raise.

Please, do avoid. If I was able to give less than one star, I would do it without batting an eye. Not helpful at all, liars and not responsive at all. Since the very start it all went down the hill. Firstly, the property was not prepared beforehand ( we had to clean the property ourselves, prepare the garden and front garden), we have been told that they will get rid of old sofa, it took them more than two weeks to do so and when they have done it, sofa was left outside our property. We had council coming to us because neighbours have conplained, what a distaster ! Now, when we have an issue with draining system outside ( smells horrible and our neighbours complained once again) the agance is telling us that they do not manage the property ?, even tho in the contract it clearly states that if there are any issues, we have to contact them ?? No one even fixed the gas meter ? We had to contact the emergency gas service and they told us that whoever was checking gas, they broke it, leaving it as it is ? When we did the viewing we've been told that the smell is normal and it was coming somewhere from the street !!! Horrible !!!
