A bigger bunch of grifters you could not wish to meet. Do not trust them , do not even engage with this company. The customer service is non existent. They don't give you all the information you require, then charge exorbitant fees because you haven't had all the information! Avoid them like the plague and use a reputable company.....you have been warned

A big thank you to the staff at Barnard & marcus in sutton.Also juile Liles our sales manager. We had some hipcups on the way but next week we get to move to our dream house .Took longer than expected but in a chain it can be very tricky .Julie was always polite and calm with us even when some times we were raging. Well done Juile. you did us well. Thanks to Alex Elliott, Georgia, Harvey and all the rest of the staff in the sutton office. We definitely recommend them.Thank you all very much from the start to the finish. Well done

The office opposite KFC in Thornton Hearth, Mortgage Advisor S B was very unprofessional, rude, arrogant and impolite. She was very argumentative about nonsense things like office direction etc.. Will not recommend this Mortgage Advisor if your buying a house. Such a waste of time!

James came to our house for a free valuation. He was friendly, professional, answered all our questions and really on the ball. We knew straightaway that our house was in good hands. We were offered in excess of the asking price which was excellent. James and his team work hard for it. Unfortunately, due to an unforeseen circumstance, we could not go forward with the sale. Again, speaking with James was so easy and truly showed his professionalism even though the sale did not take place. Would highly recommend James and his team at Epsom branch.Jason

I Just wanted to say that we are so grateful for Steven Bakare at Barnard Marcus Thornton Heath! He literally helped me so much. If he hadn’t helped me we wouldn’t be in our perfectHome! We were in a hurry to buy a new house for our two daughters (both toddlers!) Steven found us the perfect house and got us an excellent deal. There were many interested parties snd we still feel like we were so lucky to have got the house at the price we did! We are happy and settled in our beautiful house. Honestly so grateful. Today my 3 year old said that she loves our house so much and it just made me so happy. It’s the perfect place for us and we wouldn’t have had this if it wasn’t for Steven! We moved in within 6 weeks of seeing the house! So grateful! Definitely recommend Barnard marcus to everyone.

TrustpilotI was very interested in a property in Mitcham, Surrey
I was very interested in a property promoted by BM's Mitcham office. I told the agent I had £500k in cash and arranged a second viewing (I was prepared to offer up to £485). The agent told me (I'm paraphrasing) that if I didn't use BM's conveyancing services my bid would be deprioritised. I told him I would not be using BM's conveyancing - I don't understand how one agent can act in the interests of two parties to a contract.As I arrived at the property for the second viewing he called to say a sale had been agreed earlier in the day. I spoke to the vendors and they told me the sale agreed was £461k. My best guess is the buyer had agreed to use BM's conveyancing services which probably meant an additional £3-5k to BM and a bonus to the agent - I stand ready to be corrected. The agent sold the property in under two weeks from it going on the market. He told me it was urgent as the vendors had found a place and were eager to move - the vendors told me at the second viewing they were still looking. For some reason, the agent wanted a quick sale.....sold in under two weeks with other potential offers known.....!!!!I believe the agent did not act in the best interests of his client. There is a potential conflict of interest for BM in promoting their conveyancing services and ensuring their client's best interests.

As they are quite a well known agency I thought I would be getting good service, we were visited by the branch manager, who, as soon as he received my business- completely disappeared and never responded to anything. We had multiple offers accepted however buyers either weren’t informed correctly about our situation or they messed us around. When we finally progressed with our sale the progression team were terrible- never there, wouldn’t respond and wouldn’t update when they said they were going to. I also kept getting calls from their ‘customer service’ team who had no idea how to respond when I told them know angry I was. There was one amazing lady at the mitcham branch who was phenomenal the whole time- she was the only reason I never went insane. Overall I would not recommend Barnard Marcus.

It should be possible to give 0 star reviews because it would be entirely relevant for this business.Despite being able to go on for days about how unprofessional, rude and disinterested the Letting Manager was at the Addiscombe Road, Croydon branch, the short version of this is just how abysmal each and every person managed to be at their job.From the point of holding deposit payment there was a complete lack of communication that in the end, caused us to have to pay an additional months rent at our old address simply because they took too long to confirm whether or not we were able to hand our notice in.On one occasion when trying to get through to the Letting Manager, Anton, he outright told me that Anton was out of the office...while speaking to me. Information was constantly contradictory from the same person as they tried to give me the run around by not being able to answer simple questions. I eventually had to find and contact the landlord myself to get any form of movement and the only reason i didnt withdraw my application (deposit be damned) is because BM would not be the property managers and so i wouldnt have to deal with them again.My partner and I had come a private landlord before this and needless to say, BM completely ruined any positive experience of dealing with a letting agent. I wish i had done my research beforehand as i would have held out for a company that seemed to actually care about tenants in any way.

I used Barnard Marcus in Ealing to sell my flat and having dealt with many Estate Agents in Ealing I found these guys to be a breath of fresh air. I initially dealt with Kelly who was on the ball and understood the potential of my flat and, unlike other agents, didn't try to persuade me to drop the price in order to get a quick sale. Lee dealt with the clients and did a superb job with the negotiation and was helpful and proactive to ensure the sale went through fast and smoothly (it actually went through in 5wks from offer to completion, which I still can't believe!) There were a few lumps and bumps along the way with solicitors, but Kelly stepped in as soon as I raised the issue with her and promptly sorted it out.I guess the quality of service comes down the personalities involved and based on my experience with these guys I would not hesitate in recommending them.

Trustpilot❌ Paid 12 months upfront, but faced undisclosed risks and an eviction notice I believe was retaliatory, Barnard Marcus failed to protect me as a tenant.
My experience has been extremely poor. Despite paying 12 months’ rent upfront plus a large deposit, I was not told crucial facts before signing, including the freehold setup, the controlling freeholders living upstairs, and the presence of a large dog, which later attacked me in the hallway, the only access to my flat. These are material facts that should have been disclosed.

When you try to buy your first property the stress levels are so high, specially if you have been in this country only for 4 years however we were very lucky to come across Enrique Bosch. He was by our side throughout the whole process and explained everything step by step, always trying to find the best mortgage deal for us. Initially we were impressed, but I think we had one good agent in an office of inexperienced, unproductive, un-proactive and very negative agents. The good agent left, and the stark ineptness of their branch stood out like a sore thumb (Kennington).We also ended up on the market with them for 20 weeks (locked into a contract, where the time frame wasn't highlighted to us. FYI it's in the very, very small print on the back of the (5?) page contract, so be warned). Our notice period was 4 weeks, and when we asked to be released 2 weeks early, they refused to budge. Even though they seemed tired and bored with our property, and certainly didn't seem to care to try to sell it in this period. We wasted time, they wasted our time, their manager was incredibly rude as well, which was very upsetting (we complained, it was 'resolved' in the way these things actually rarely are). Overall, their dour and miserable outlook seemed to seep into everything. I wonder if this negativity (probably spun as realism) is writ into their training, as we got a similar bleak and negative chat from a BM agent on the other side, when we were trying to buy. Which made us avoid looking at any properties for sale with them. They made the exhausting, emotional and difficult process of house selling ten times worse. And when we gave our notice they didn't even bother to say, 'we'll endeavour to sell your property in the intervening time' (which would have been a good party line, even if they weren't planning to). We finally switched agents and sold within 2 weeks. Painful. Don't fall into the same trap. Avoid.

From making a call to the office and booking the valuation of our property, the service provided to us has been exemplary.A very professional young lady arrived to carry out the valuation and it was recommended to delay listing as we were very close to Christmas.This did not delay Barnard Marcus in arranging viewing appointments from the very next day.Two very able and competent young ladies were put in charge of selling our flat and there was no slacking in arranging appointment after appointment. As many as three on some Saturdays.One young lady moved on from the company, but Shahana stayed and continued doing her very best to get our property sold.We feel her selling skills were really put to the test with our home and she eventually found a buyer who was just right for it.
