I was quite rush to look for a place in London to move. I tried with several agencies in London but quite disappointed with them until I met Elaine at Bairstow Eves Ilford. Firstly, she was kind to us when we described our expectation (other agencies even didn't want to hear). Then she arranged viewing and meeting between the landlord and us to deal with some conditions (we are not British so other agencies have a lot of requirements while we showed every evidences and recommend from the last landlord whom we were with during last 4 years). Elaine also supported in paperwork because we were very rush to move. We are happy with her help and highly recommend her agency.

We have had a flat rented through Bairstow Eves for the last 2 years. At every stage the team in the Wanstead branch have been first class and friendly, backed up by the property management team who oversee issues such as property checks, arranging gas safety certificates and check out at the end of tenancy. The knowledge of the area and of the rental market of Bairstow Eves team is excellent ; importantly the tenant was also well served and advised by this agency too. Highly recommend them to prospective private landlords.

Adam and Elaine have been very quick to find me a tenant after a previous agent had promised to find me a tenant and had the flat in a popular area for almost a month. Adam and Elaine found a suitable tenant in a few days and dealt with all essentials that needed to be done and moved in, in a record breaking week! Cannot recommend them enough for their efficiency, guidance and professionalism. Very happy with the service. Look forward to a long relationship with them.

Total failure in Hucknall

Total failure. Rude and unprofessional staff. Very few viewing of the house. Promised communication failed to happen as the norm. Poor quality photographs of house and near illiterate description of house and garden. Agents appear to be in league with the one buyer to get a cut down price so the house could be rented out by them. If you want to sell a home in Hucknall try another agent.

As a former tenant I can say: That despite my previous rant - the agents have been helpful, and in general good at keeping my rent level and I had three years of minimal rent increase. The company has however failed to return my deposit on time. They have missed emails and chases were responded to late. There was no communication from the offset, quite disappointed by that.

Absolute worst estate agents

Absolute worst estate agents! Took our 6 months rent upfront told us we could move into the property only to be told 5 hours after we were due to get the keys that we weren’t allowed to have the property after all! We had paid for removals and were literally sitting outside the house only to be mucked about for the entire day. Very disappointing and if we could give them zero stars we would!

At first I thought what a great team.. I found a property and made contact on a Thursday.. said I wanted to arrange viewing but was toldtold to staff holiday it wasn't possible until the following week. They advise I call the next day and make an arrangement. I tried both friday and saturday too leaving voicemails and messages with sales team. No responses back.. I call Monday morning to be told the flat was gone.. waste of time and I hope this review makes people think twice before calling this particular branch. Be grateful I can't put 0 stars! No point in emailing sir. Your sales team made it perfectly clear my custom wasn't wanted. Next time I'll use an English name and see if it makes a difference. Cos the phone manner was shocking soon as I said patel.

Dishonest, incompetent, the last 18 months have been infuriating stressful and costly, systemic failures in their property management team, did not manage the property licensing process, Help2 Rent tenant, let the H2R rent guarantee expire, so no rent cover and tenant in significant arrears, a personal data breach, lost keys, among a litany of failures. Avoid this company at all costs look around do t be fooled by the size of this company, it’s size dwarfs its ability to manage a single property with competence or integrity.

Purchasing a property

While in the process of purchasing a property i had my mortgage adviser and solicitor, but the agent pressured me into using their services by stating multiple times on the phone the seller would rather the buyer use their services. After the third time i was pressured into saying yes because in all the telephone conversations i was not getting anywhere until I said yes.The mistake I made was having all this conversation in a telephone conversation instead of emails. Their complaint department just threw the case under the bus because I had no evidence and their telephone conversations were not recorded.I avoid this company and their services.

One member of staff (Adam) lets down the whole team. Instructed them to let out a property last year. They did not find me a tenant so decided to give another agent a go. They contacted me when they saw the other agent marketing asking if they are also given a chance. Explained that I had an arrangement with another agent for a week and I would get back to then when that week was up. I didn't like how they kept questioning my decision as it's my prerogative what agent I instruct but let it go. A couple of days later I noticed that they had simply gone ahead with marketing the property anyway using photos they had taken from a previous instruction. I couldn't believe it. As a Landlord you want a "pushy" agent to get the deal done but these guys are intrusive and cocksure. If they had waited a few more days I may have actually gone ahead and agreed to instruct them but that kind of underhandedness just doesn't sit right with me. Even if it does cost me a few weeks rent.
