GoogleAfter a very trying time with our previous estate agents and their management department, my partner and I thought things couldn't be worse next time. How wrong we were. Since we signed the quality of service has plummeted. The lack of communication over several pressing issues has been appalling: it takes multiple emails for a response, and the office seems to be permanently unreachable. Everything has been a battle. Avoid.

GoogleWorst experience with an agency ever. Thankfully I didn’t end up renting anything with them as they seem very unreliable and not serious. Valentina kept telling me they had properties available and then cancelled the viewing last minute, didn’t reply to emails, and even didn’t show up for a viewing once, making me waste my time and going to a property I didn’t get to see. Would not recommend.

GoogleI had a great experience while I was searching a property to rent. The agent Mark Johnson was really helpful and really keen to show me as many properties as possible, especially since it was a week-day and I was able to meet him only after I finished work (after 6:30pm). We ended up visiting 3 properties which all met the standards and criteria that I was looking for.

GoogleThank you Lauren and Monty! Our toilet broke completely - I was totally stressed out, especially working from home... Lauren emailed me back within the hour and put me in direct contact with Monty, the contractor/plumber, who replaced the parts and fixed the toilet within 24 hours. Can not thank Lauren and Monty enough. Both were speedy, polite, helpful and professional. Thank you!

FacebookDISGUSTING! Atkinson Mcleod have been harassing me since 2008 when I posted an enquiry for a lettings agent on Right Move. 11 YEARS!!! I have contacted all of the offices via email and telephone. I have contacted all of the managers. I have contacted their head office and still the harassment persists because they have their heads so far up their own *rses that they don't care about customers. Now I've been forced to report them to nada and the Property Ombudsman. AM, you're a bunch of useless, egotistical cowboys.
If I needed a lettings agent, I would NEVER use this lot

GoogleWe met with Amit J who showed us a property that we were keen on. Amit was courteous, helpful and answered all our questions being sure to mention that he was not sure on things that he did not have information on immediately. Amit was one of the best agents we came across in our property search and we would definitely recommend him.

I'm new to the area so I didn't know much, but she went above and beyond explaining everything and then followed up regarding other options. Charlotte will definitely be one of the first people I contact if I'm looking for another property in the future!

FacebookWords can not describe just how bad the service is from not just Atkinson McLeod but also the landlord they used in our case. Me and my ex partner rented a place via them sharing a house with another tenant. After living their for around 8 months my partner and I split and obviously needed to move out. The housemate also decided to leave and move back to Poland. We never missed any payments and kept the place in exceptional condition. We paid to break the contract which cost an extortionate amount, but as stated due to circumstanced we paid anyway. They found new tenants immediately who moved in immediately after we left on the 28th February 2019. We paid to have the place deep cleaned by a company they recommended at a cost of £395. The clean was completed and the company sent pictures to show it was of a high standard. A check out report was sent on the 13th March which we responded to straight away to point out a few discrepancies (the report listed the sofas as not seen, we did not take them and they were in the cleaning pictures after we left). We did not hear anything back for almost 3 weeks, literally nothing despite several emails. We called them and was informed that the person dealing with out property had been on holiday for two weeks but was back in tomorrow. Apparently if someone goes away nobody covers their emails or work or even informs you (they also told us on the phone that despite the fact she was back tomorrow they only deal with deposit returns once a week so she might not even deal with it then). They have consistently told us they are chasing it up with the landlord and in the last week we finally thought we had success when the landlords deductions report came through. He claimed £74 for small things like light bulbs, ok fine and £180 for cleaning?!?!?! Despite us using the company they suggested and choosing the most expensive package which they also recommend. We are of course contesting this. It has now been 41 days since we left the property and 28 days since the check out report was sent and despite several more emails and phone calls we still do not have our deposit back. I urge anyone even thinking about using these scam artist to steer well clear.
Sorry to hear you also had such a bad experience. I’d recommend submitting a formal complaint to The Property Ombudsman, it takes a while but you could get compensation, and hopefully makes a point that estate agents shouldn’t be able to operate like this

GoogleWe were really hopeful and happy when we firstly rented with Atkinson McLeod, smooth process and our agent was prompt to reply to our questions. Unfortunately, when we have needed assistance during the tenancy agreement as tenants we felt neglected. Emails not acknowledge for, calls not returned and long waits in order to have feedbacks. We had to keep chasing in order to have some sort of support. According to our experience poor property management experience. Such a shame!

GoogleAfter a number of failed attempts to rent our apartment with the main high street agencies, we were very happy to work with Atkinson McLeod. Margaret Lombard and the team did an excellent job by advertising the flat because they actually did listen and understood our needs as well as particulars of the flat. We found the right tenants within few weeks.

I would like to explicitly mention Angel from the maintenance team who was very kind and patient with us during our tenure and supported us with all the queries and issues we had, would recommend from personal experience.

GoogleVery unprofessional letting agency. I was told my offer was accepted and was prepared to pay the deposit. I did not hear back in days, once I called them they stated that the property has been let to someone else without giving me any notice. They lied about trying to contact me and not being able to reach me. I would not recommend this agency to anyone. Save your time and money!!

I have business background so I would say he is a very good salesman. He has a mouth that won't quit but also is very genuine and considerate. I would definitely recommend this agent!

GoogleMark was really great. He's honest and doesn't give you any BS. The place I visited had a disgruntled renter and he was a bit reluctant to say what he really felt. Mark encouraged him to tell us the whole truth, even if it would affect his sale. Great stand up guy

GoogleI arrange a viewing in East India to see a property for buying and i was waiting for an agent half an hour to find out that he will not come as he does not have the keys from the property. Then his manager emailed me apologising and she promised she will supporting with the viewing and she never answered to her mobile or email the next day when the viewing was supposed to happen. I don’t recommend. Unprofessional!!!
