Acorn was the estate agency for the property we bought. Our main contact (Adam) was very responsive, always answered our questions and spent a lot effort mediating between the seller, myself and our solicitors to ensure that the deal moves forward. When the mail was slow he even picked up the signed contract from our place himself and delivered it to the solicitor in person. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because when we did the viewing, we were told there were no major works planned. When we later put in an offer and received the management pack, our solicitor discovered that there were indeed major works announced. The major works were very early days (no estimate yet) and only announced two months before our viewing. It is also not guaranteed that they will go ahead. We also could have double checked again with them later on major works and asked for written confirmation. So some blame is on us, hence this was not a deal breaker. In the end, the seller agreed to a reduced asking price, which Adam greatly helped facilitate. So overall very happy with Acorn, but some more transparency at the start about any knowledge of major works would have been much appreciated.PositiveResponsiveness

My experience with Acorn agency is very positive and satisfactory. I bought from them my first property and it was the only agency in the area which could really provide a very thorough service, starting from the high quality of their website and properties listed till the support received till the very end of the process. Adam in particular did a great job in coordinating all the parties involved and making sure the everyone was updated on the next steps and acted efficiently. Godefroy also was really helpful, showing me around to see all the properties available and to listen to my needs in order to find the perfect place for me! Absolutely recommended! Damian was incredibly helpful and accommodating of my many requests during the process of renting our house. Even some of my more unorthodox questions he was always happy to ask the landlord and got back to me at record speed (sometimes in literally minutes!) A friendly, professional and attentive agency that have been helpful through the process from viewings through to tenancy. Damian took us on our first viewing of the property where we currently live and he was great. We were given plenty of time and information at the property. However, something that Acorn should improve is the communication process with the landlord, as it sometimes takes several days to get a written answer and the management agents are hardly ever available on the phone.

It can be a hard decision choosing which agent to market your property with, but I can definitely say I made the right choice going with Acorn. I was 100% satisfied with the service they offered, and felt well supported through the whole process. I have recently sold my flat through Acorn, Kennington and had a great experience from start to finish. They were realistic with the price and subsequently I received an offer within 48 hours of my flat going onto the market.
