We received an offer within a day of the property going on the market and although that sale eventually fell through due to the buyer unfortunately becoming ill, Berkeley Shaw kept us informed throughout and very quickly found another purchaser. Terrible experience as a tenant. I rented a flat with Berkeley Shaw (BS) and moved out as soon as I could. Poor support offered to the tenants - as one of the examples, when I moved in the boiler was not working, the advice from the BS employee was to shower with a kettle until it was fixed (which took more than a week). I had to pay for the repair from my own money because showering with a kettle does not sound like the best solution to a boiler issue. After I moved out the property, this same employee did not answer to my emails and wanted to charge me all my security deposit incorrectly - including double charging a repair I had previously paid to Berkeley Shaw (and he was aware). After several weeks trying to solve this issue, I accepted a reduced amount of my deposit just to move on as I could not stand wasting all my energies just for an answer (calling, sending email etc). If you want to rent a property, my suggestion is to try a different company.

The staff are amazing and we're always helpful. Big thankyou to Emma ,Laura and rest of staff. So I'd say use Berkeley Shaw. Id give more than 5 stars if I could.

GoogleWe sold our house through the BS Crosby office. Friendly and professional office staff, they were much better at giving us feedback / chasing viewers than any of the other estate agents we dealt with whilst looking ourselves. House sold quickly and for the asking price. We recommend them to our neighbour who’d struggled to sell with another agent and she’d sold soon after switching to them. Other estate agents have been garbage in comparison to them, so I’d highly recommend them for sales in Crosby and across Sefton! ***** 5 stars *****PositiveProfessionalism

GoogleRecently used Berkeley Shaw to sell my 4 bedroom detached house. Impressed with their professional and knowledgable information of my area. I felt it was priced fairly but competitively. I did get a further 2 valuations from local agents but decided on Berkeley Shaw because of their overall professional approach. They arranged for a large number of photographs and produced a beautiful brochure which showed our home to its best potential. If you are looking for professional, local estate agent I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend all the team at Berkeley Shaw.

GoogleJust sold my house through Berkeley Shaw. Genuinely excellent and professional customer service. Originally planned to put it up with another agent for £20k less as they probably wanted a quick sale but Berkeley Shaw advised we could achieve much more and we got the asking price within a week. They kept me up to date at all stages and during such a difficult time (throughout the original lockdown) continued to keep things moving. Thanks very much to all the team there. Would definitely recommend to anyone wishing to sell their house and achieve the best possible price.

GoogleI was tasked with selling my parents house and chose Berkeley Shaw after spotting a promotion on Rightmove for a free valuation. They could not have been more helpful, from the valuer, the photographer and the ladies in the office who organised viewings and kept us up to date. They were honest, upfront, ready to answer any questions ensuring the process went smoothly from start to finish. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Horrendous. 5 years a tenant, 1 months rent arrears which agreed to pay in two instalments. Both payments made on the agreed date, only to find an email ‘giving me the opportunity to make payment’ as my account is ‘consistently in arrears’. Obviously don’t talk to each other and happy to send threatening emails without checking facts beforehand.

GoogleThe agents were very helpful throughout the buying process. Every time we wanted a visit in advance of purchase we were able to do so without any problems. The stress of the move was helped by staff explaining where in the process we were. The day of completion went without any hitches and we received our keys early afternoon without any problems.
