GoogleOur house move was not going well due to having to deal with a very aggressive housing firm who kept holding us to unrealistic timelines and William H Brown took this case by the scruff of the neck and dealt with the housing firm in a very proactive and responsive way and were instrumental in getting us to the exchange stage. A special mention has to go to Charlotte DeCaux for her due diligence and professionalism in turning around a very tricky situation for us.

Google(Newark branch) It's a shame 0 isn't an option. Absolutely no knowledge of the house they were trying to sell when showing clients around. Described a detached house as 'connected to next door' when client asked about installing another window. This is just one example of multiple issues. Swapped estate agents after 5 months of no offers. Sold within 3 days with new agent who took better pictures and had knowledge of the house they were selling. I would avoid if you want a professional, knowledgeable service.

GoogleCannot praise Charlotte enough for all her hard work with our sale. It took 3 attempts to sell our property, two abortive sales due to chains breaking but both times, Charlotte responded quickly and proactively selling our property again within days. Third time lucky as they say but still not without it’s fair share of issues, nothing to do with William H Brown, and had it not been for all the time and effort Charlotte not sure how things would have turned out. I would definitely recommend William H Brown, Charlotte in particular… thank you.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

GoogleInitially this company was good at looking after my rental property. But things went downhill rapidly. Rarely get to speak to anyone when you ring . If you leave a message do not expect a call back . Communication only picked up when I fired them as my letting agent . No replies to emails . Repairs to property not dealt with after tenants complained of issues . Some staff lovely ....others ...... well....let's just say unprofessional and pushy . Felt my custom was worthless and tenants needs equally so. Not recommended as a letting agent unless you like getting frustrated and feel like pulling your hair out .

They also went above and beyond what they should have done and helped me no end with solicitor on my house sale aswell. Their service was 2nd to none. GoogleHorrible at communication and completely unhelpful. My husband and I are waiting on a rent refund that was meant to happen almost a month ago. They ignored my emails and most of our phone calls before finally telling us that they sent the money we are rightfully owed back to the landlord. Absolutely horrific company and should be avoided at all costs.

GoogleVery unprofessional approach. They respond positively that they can arrange viewings during COVID-19, but when you tell them that you need to sell your house first, the whole thing gets cold: they suddenly change their mind, and say that they can't unless they come to see your house and valuate it or if you are ready to buy. So you can only do business through them if you have cash in hand or are actually one of their clients? Very conflicting especially as they make claims about government guidelines -which actually don't prevent viewings. I understand it's COVID-19 and viewings aren't easy, but then at least they can offer virtual viewings (again that's not an option).NegativeProfessionalism

GoogleNever felt so violated by anyone but then came W H Brown. Offered to help us find us a new home after we got a section 21 and obviously we wanted the help. All we got was snotty emails, phone calls and same answer "we will call you back" They didn't care especially during a pandemic they just wanted us out! I have never felt so violated, stressed and upset over something like this. If I could complain higher i would and if I could give 0 stars then I would!
