GoogleFrom the start just before the lockdown and then through the lockdown the company were very supportive and maintained contact. We knew at all stages who our company contacts were. Sophie in Lincoln and Lucy in Grimsby were particularly good. We’ve used Starkey’s this time and on one other occasion they were our vendor’s agents. GoogleMe and my partner lived in a property managed by starkey and brown for three years. Communication between letting agent, tenant and landlord is very below par as we had been reporting cracks in the walls that were getting bigger for 2.5 years. The landlord did come round and say, oh those cracks are coming back and don’t worry about it. Since moving out we have now been charged for those structural cracks. Also after moving out and handing the keys back to starkey and brown in May we have also been charged for rent in June. We have tried to resolve this by phoning starkey and brown to be told they won’t talk to us about this. This review is only scratching the surface of problems but we would be here all day writing an essay.

GoogleI walked the whole length of Silver Street to find a home to rent and was dreading the process. The team at S&B however were from the first very friendly and helpful. They stood out. Vicky looked after me for most of the process of setting up renting the house that I liked. She was always able to answer my questions and I felt very well looked after. Billie did the deposit and key handover and explained everything clearly. The office in general has a lovely vibe and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

GoogleI can wholeheartedly say Starkey and Brown are the best estate agents in the area and would recommend them with no hesitation. I recently went through Starkey and Brown to sort out renting my first home, so naturally I was full of uncertainty and questions. I was lucky enough to be looked after by Vicky, the service and support she provided was superb and second to none. Going the extra mile to ensure that I was always sure of what was going on, even making sure that all service providers and council were sorted, which as someone who has not done the whole house process before I found extremely helpful and a massive weight off my mind.

GoogleStarkey and Brown were professional and knowledgeable from start to finish of the sale of my house and I didn't imagine it would be as straightforward and stress free as it turned out to be. Their valuation of my house was very accurate leading to a good amount of interest but not so much interest which would have led to me thinking it was undervalued, something which happened to a neighbour a month or so before my property went up for sale. Each time I contacted Starkey and Brown with any questions I always felt they were pleased I had asked for their support and advice, whether that was dropping in at their office, phoning or e-mailing. If I ever sell again I won't approach 3 estate agents as I did this time but I'll be going straight to Starkey and Brown and will always recommend them to anyone else.

GoogleI booked a viewing with this agency. Day and time of the viewing were confirmed via email and via text on the same day. Due to an error in the system, they couldn't show me the property on the day and they could not re-arrange it via Skype. I couldn't come another day as I don't live there so I wasted my time and money for a viewing that did not take place. They apologised for it.

We have investigated the matter and it would appear that there was a mistake made when booking the appointment, meaning that it was booked at the wrong time. We can assure you that this was a genuine mistake and one which we deeply regret. GoogleVery disappointing the Agents definitely do not work for the purchaser I had an offer accepted in February 2017 on a property in Greetwell Drive Number 66 to be precise, each month completion was further away in August I through the solicitors and Starkey and Brown that I requested completion by 30th September 2017 as I felt I had waited long enough I was told by Anita and I have a recorded telephone conversation when Anita states that the Sellers are unlikely to complete before December 2017 if then, yet Starkey and Brown re market the property knowing the fact and it is now again SSTC I am awaiting as to what date the property completes and wondered if the whole sale was a scam or whether another would be purchaser is in for an expensive waiting game?
Dear Valerie, we believe that you are referring to a property on Westfield Drive. Whilst we always act in the best interests of all parties involved, we are appointed as agents by the sellers of the property and therefore the sellers are the client we 'work for'. We are sorry that you feel the way you do. It is our understanding that the sale was progressing much slower than you would like, and that you withdrew your offer as a result. We have since agreed a sale to another buyer who is fully aware of the potential lengthy timescales involved and is perfectly happy and flexible with regards to completion dates. Naturally we could elaborate with more specific details, however we do not think this would be professional on such an open public forum, so if you would like to contact the office we would be happy to discuss the matter.

GoogleI recently purchased a property which Starkey & Brown were selling. I was lucky enough to have Debbie acting as my sales progress contact who was absolutely amazing. She contacted me most days to let me know how things were going and went above and beyond to ensure that the sale went through as smoothly as possible. I had a particularly difficult sale and purchase and Debbie helped out in so many ways that kept me totally sane. She is so professional as were all of the team and the service that they offered was so individulised that by the end of my purchase I felt like part of the family. I would so recommend them as a company and if you get Debbie as your contact then you can count on her to chase, chase, chase until you are sat in your lovely new home.

They managed to get multiple offers for my house and they helped me through every step of the sale process to make sure it all ran smoothly. GoogleMy husband and I recently used Starkey & Brown for the sale of our property. Throughout the process they were extremely helpful in dealing with any questions we had and always communicated regularly on each stage of the house selling. For every viewing we had they followed up and fed this information back to us in a timely manner. In addition to this they were extremely friendly and Anita who we dealt with offered the emotional support, understanding that a house in not just bricks but a home to myself and our young family for many years. Nothing was too much trouble for them and I would certainly recommend.

GoogleAs a landlord, I have found the service provided by S&B to be excellent both for me and for our tenants. Call and Care visits are carried out on a regular basis which ensures that any problems tenants may have can be addressed and speedily resolved. Starkey & Brown also arrange for all contractual requirements to be met (e.g. Gas Certificates, boiler servicing etc.) which saves me having to constantly check that things are being done. Being a considerable distance away form rthe property, a contract with S&B gives me peace of mind. The accounts department are prompt with the correct payment into my account and provide detailed invoices by e-mail within 7 days. The professional staff in the Lettings Department are very approachable and do their level best to resolve any difficulties the tenant or landlord may have

GoogleSelling a house is stressful? Not with Starkey&Brown... At Chris Vaughan Photography, I pride myself of working closely with my clients to provide the best possible service. And I try and use like-minded business when I require their services for either my business or personal life. When my partner and I decided to sell our house, we had no hesitation of using the expertise of the team at Starkey&Brown. From day one they were nothing short of superb. They were friendly, professional but most importantly good at their job! Within 24 hours of our house being on the market, we had eight bookings confirmed, which in less than 12 hours later was upped to 11! Well within 72 hours of our house going on the market we had received, and accepted an offer for the full asking price. But the great service didn’t stop there. They are knowledgeable about their properties and their standards of professionalism are second to none in Lincoln.
