FacebookJust purchased a buy to let property and it is now in Amy's hands to organize the letting. Throughout the purchasing period Amy has been amazing giving me all kinds of advice. Approachable and professional. Prompt to answer emails and I feel sure she will continue to guide me well in getting it up to standard and finding me a suitable tenant . Our experience with Martin & Co Lincoln has been terrible since the word go. -When completing the credit checks they didn't explain their process/charges properly and then ended up charges us double and it was a fight to get refunded. -When completing the contract, the deposit amounts and addresses were completely incorrect and had to be redone, wasting time. -When we viewed the property it was in a mess and they told us they would have cleaners in before we moved in. When we got the keys and went back to the property for the first time, nothing had been done to it and I had to speak to 3 different people to get it sorted. -They didn't send us the inventory until a month into our rental and it was incorrect. -When they wanted to do a property check, they gave us less that 48 hours notice for the visit and then tried to charge us because we missed the appointment (we were on holiday for a week and missed the notice and the visit) and we had to fight to get that back too. -It has taken them 6 months to arrange to have our shower fixed. 3 plumbers, a visit and a telling off from the landlord later its finally been done. The problem with the branch is that no one seems to have a clue what is going on or who is in charge and you have to speak to pretty much everyone in the office to get it sorted. Even the plumbers and gas check guy who I've met say that their management team is awful and its hard to get done. When the landlord came around he seemed aware of the problem and said that they had lost the spare sets of keys for the three properties he owned in the area.

GoogleTwice we had no 24hr notice before entering. Took several months to fix "non-urgent" issues (major draughts, cracked bath), so long that we gave up on reporting them. A broken heating element burnt off the oven wiring and we were told to just turn it off when not in use (fire hazard). If you're renting, please learn your rights so that you're not exploited, report everything and nag if things aren't fixed. A lot of these positive reviews are from sellers, landlords and the owners.

GoogleI was very impressed with the quality of the pictures and a lot of though was given to their layout on the various property platforms, so the first picture was the front door, followed by the down stairs and moving through the house but importantly finishing by duplicating some of the key shots. Once a sale was agreed TLC were onto all the parties, asking what needed to be done to keep the transaction moving. I was pleased and impressed by the service.

Excellent! There are so many poor estate agents in Lincoln, which we have had numerous negative experiences with. Martin & Co are not one of those. Their service was exceptional from start to finish. A fair fee, for the service they provide. They were the only estate agent of four others to give us an accurate sale price, which we secured in a week. They actively chased our sale and went above and beyond to speak to others in the chain to get answers and push the sale along. We will without doubt be using them again, I cannot rate them highly enough in comparison to their competitors.
