Avoid at all costs Youre lied to through the whole process If you’re selling a property you need to be in direct contact with your buyer and if you’re buying you need to be in direct contact with your seller to make sure you are selling for the same price your buyer is buying for and vice versa . He is NOT allowed by law to take deposits . Under no circumstances let him coerce you into to giving him money ! You won’t get it back . Had my buyer not got in contact with me I would NEVER have known he was selling my property for more than he was telling me and my buyer was buying for more than I was selling for . The deposit he took from her I knew nothing about but he’d written a letter to her saying as per agreed by the family and it certainly was not the case . This person needs stopping . I don’t know how many companies he’s had . Ignore the date in the review it wouldn’t let me change to the date of my experience

I wouldn’t even give Spencer’s Syston or the actual overall company a 1 star! I had the worst experience buying a property. Lack of communication you have to keep chasing for updates. Lies about the property I brought. Took it to head office and even appealed and I got nothing apart of a rubbish apology! I will never deal with Spencer’s again.

I had made inquires about a certain property in Leicester that was put up for sale around May 2018. However, I was informed that there were many offers and infact the property had been sold within a week and it had been "sold subject to contract" for the asking price. However, the property was back on the market in October 2018 when I first made contact with Gianfanco Paparozi at the Spencers branch in the town centre. I very quickly realised that I wish I had spoken to Gianfanco in the first place as I found his approach extremely professional as he knew exactly how to provide the top level customer care. Within 10 minutes of meeting up with Gianfanco, I had all the reassurances of my mortgages been dealt with by one of the in-house advisors and all my paper work checked for my offer to be put to the Vendors. Before I left the office Gianfanco had already spoken to the Vendor and reassured me that the property would be sold to me as soon as the mortgage company gave me the go-ahead. At all stages of the negotiations, Gianfranco rang me to brief me about the sale. I have dealt with many Estate Agents in the past - but I found Gianfranco being the most honourable as there were no hidden agendas. I would personally like to Thank Gianfranco for his professionalism and honesty as this put my trust back into young people of his age.

One word - OUTSTANDING!!! Property went on the market and in less than a week it was sold and at asking price! We knew from the moment we met Mark for the valuation that these guys are experts in their field. When Mark went on a skiing holiday a few days after our appointment, nothing was held up. We met with Jon who completed all the relevant paperwork in a timely and professional manner. The professional photos were then done within 48 hours at no extra cost (none of this amateur stuff!) Our property hit Rightmove as a premium listing and we had viewings pretty much instantly. The communication regarding viewings from Stephanie and Emma was excellent. We received confirmation texts and emails giving us plenty of notice if we needed to alter days or times. They fully qualify the buyer to make sure they have funds in place before proceeding to making offers. Special mention to Franco who’s the Sales Manager. A fantastic personal service from him. A steady flow of emails and phone calls keeping us up to date with everything that is going on. He’s not one of these boring Senior Management guys who sits behind a desk all day never wanting to speak to people. As with all reviews there is always a negative - I promised a bottle of red wine if they got asking price so I have to stick to my word!! What a refreshing change! After having to deal with 2 other "Local" estate agents over the last year, both losing us the purchase we were aiming for, Spencers, and particularly Franco, went "the extra mile" in handling the sale of our former house bringing back the concept of SERVICE to the customer! He was always available to deal with whatever was raised and kept us fully informed of progress even when there didn't seem to be any due to others "dragging their feet". IF we ever need an agents service again, we shall most certainly use Spencers . We have already recommended them to a close relative.

Not living In Leicester, chose Spencers to sell my late brothers property as sale boards locally mostly Spencers. Very pleased with service throughout. Initial contact (Mark), I was given a clear explanation of how best to market the property, a valuation and what selling fees were involved. I was kept updated regularly by the team at the Leicester office, with offers (mostly in excess of asking price). I was shocked but very pleased when the property sold for £30,000 in excess of the valuation because of the keen competition between potential buyers. There was a hiccup when Probate was delayed,, but Spencers held things together. Thankyou Team Spencers.

I recently completed a purchase, dealt with Franco and Sandra Nightingale. Franco called to arrange a viewing as soon as the property came on the market. Once our offer was accepted Franco kept us in the picture of timescales etc. Sandra kept in touch with us and was very patient as our mortgage was slow in coming. Naturally, when I wanted to sell my property, I thought of Spencers first. Once the property details were taken, and pictures organised, it was advertised within a few days. Expected selling my mum's empty house to be really tricky as being done through a lasting power of attorney and living 100 miles away from Leicester. Turned out easier than expected thanks to the help we received from Spencers who managed all the viewings, kept us informed at every stage and even arranged for someone to come and fix the gas central heating boiler when it stopped working this Autumn. First sale fell through at last minute due to a problem further down the chain but Spencers quickly arranged a new set of viewings and found us a second serious buyer who has just exchanged contracts. Particular thanks to Franco and Sandra for keeping me informed throughout the process and to Garfield from lettings for arranging the central heating repair. Also had excellent service from Marcus at their partner Countrywide conveyancing company.

Absolute Thieves.

Over 2 years since i moved out still have not seen a penny of my deposit. Absolute thieves being incredibly rude over email, anyone working there should be ashamed at what they do to people. I will be taking legal action for far more than the original amount owed.
