I had a very good experience with my house viewing, the estate agent was by far the most professional and knowledgeable we have had so far. I also like the style of brochure that they draw up as it has all of the info you need. I haven't bought with the agents but the viewing aspect was very good and they called me the following day to gain feedback on the property. I had to share my experience with this agency we are still dealing with them and they are absolutely amazing. I rang for a viewing for a property to buy and with even such short notice as I really wanted to see this particular property before we see any other they were able to accommodate my needs. The viewing was done with Brogan (sorry if it’s not the right spelling) the agent from Oliver. She was so amazing, polite, full of information that honestly we really were so grateful to have. The house was not in a very clean state but she turned every negative to a positive and made the whole experience/ viewing as pleasant as it could be. We were previously marketing with another agent that wasn’t able to sell. Oliver took the time to come and see us to talk through the service they would provide. Charlotte who did the viewings was always on time and even arrived early on the first appointment to familiarise herself with the house. 3 months after moving out of a student house and we are still waiting for our deposit to be returned. I attempted to chase up several times via email and telephone and was giving the same response that they would attempt to “chase it up with their accounts team”. Customer service extremely poor including an employee hanging the phone up on me when I was trying to get a clearer response from them. I am reluctant to leave a negative review, however I cannot say I had a pleasant experience with Oliver Rayns this year. They repeatedly let strangers into our house for viewings whilst we were out and didn't tell us. We only found out after receiving messages along the lines of "today's viewing has been cancelled", which worried us as we weren't informed of a viewing in the first place. The door was often not locked properly when they left and despite us frequently asking them to not use the door to a tennants bedroom for access and to use the side door, they always came in through her bedroom. This was invasive, and frustrating. They also insisted on monthly inspections which were also invasive and proved unnecessary. Despite them seeing our property clean and tidy at every inspection, at the end of our tenancy we lost much of our deposit, and it took 7 weeks for them to give us an initial quote. We were particularly unhappy with some of the charges after one maintenence issue was not fixed in the entire 12 months we paid rent and it took a ridiculous amount of time to fix a broken oven. We resorted to buying a microwave ourselves as the toaster doesn't allow particularly exciting or varied meals.

I do not usually write negative reviews, but I had a really unpleasant experience with Oliver Rayns. Starting with the incorrect booking of my viewing, which I asked for on Thursday, and when I was outside the apartment I realized that someone had booked it on Friday. I had no complaints because mistakes happen. But when it came to viewing on Friday, which I showed up 10 minutes earlier, nobody of the agents decided to come. I called the agency at the time which the viewing should started and I was informed that the agent would be there in a minute, so I decided to wait. After several dozen minutes of waiting, I quit and went home. I wasted two days trying to see the apartment. I will definitely not decide to use the services of this agency in the future.
