I would just like to warn possible tenants due to my bad recent experience with Oliver Rayns on Clarendon Park Road. I was organising a flat rental through them for my daughter, a Doctor at Glenfield, who urgently had to move out of our house due to the current situation. Initially, contact with them was very positive and responsive, and we agreed on the property by an online viewing. We paid a holding deposit to Oliver Rayns, which they requested as a matter of urgency, in order to secure the flat. After chasing as to the progress on the 3rd day after sending the deposit we were told that landlord was now not sure and had changed his mind so despite our disappointment, we moved on, asking Oliver Rayns to refund the deposit to us. It has now been almost 3 weeks, and despite emails saying it would be done, we are still waiting. I would simply urge people to be aware and cautious in their dealings, as my experience has not been a great one. I will update the members if the deposit is returned soon. However, I have found some reviews on Google with the same pattern and outcome ☹ Tenants…please be AWARE!!! In the meantime, hope everyone is keeping safe and well during this very difficult time.

This letting agency was totally unprofessional. They were late to the viewing and didn't even apologise to us - had no knowledge of the property, for example had no idea how much the deposit was or the average bills. The current tenants even warned us that the letting agency were bad. Once we showed interest they sent us the forms and told is to complete them as soon as but later that day informed us that they work on a first come first serve basis and so they had given it to someone else. If so, why give us the forms in the first place? Or why give forms to another group of people? Then they said that extra money might sway the landlord. Totally unprofessional.
