They steal your deposit. We heard from many others how they deduct hundreds from your deposit, and now they have done the same to us. Charging ยฃ176 for cleaning even though we meticulously cleaned the apartment (and all the estate agents said ours was the cleanest as they showed prospective future tenants around).

GoogleI am a recently graduated doctor and the worst mistake I made in my final year of studies is associating myself with YPP Lettings. The property manager for the Manchester branch was Janine. For those who don't have time to read long reviews, this company is: -misleading (false contracts) -disorganised (miscommunication within the whole company) -malicious and unprofessional (force the customer to reimburse the company's errors) -unhelpful (no action taken after clear vandalism) Their accommodation was: -unhygienic (mould, smell etc) -noisy -dysfunctional For those who are keen to find out more, this company's behaviour and attitude towards its customers is appalling and should be illegal. Firstly, the staff aren't adequately trained and therefore asked me for missing information multiple times after clarification that such information is not required for my contract. They will give misleading information to each customer depending on what they think the customer wants to hear. I was advised of 12 month contracts only when my flatmate had been offered a 10 month contract. When I asked about this I was shut down straight away. After some persistence they were willing to make an "exception" although it was clear that the staff had no idea about a shorter contract or were just trying to deceivingly achieve more. To make matters worse, they still forced me to sign the wrong contract in order to collect keys on the day regardless of thorough communication stating the contract dates. In the end, they refused to accept this communication and forced us to pay rent for the complete 12 months especially while everyone is already struggling during Covid. As seen in the photos, this is the living conditions of their property. And the laundry room was covered with mould with walls and paint falling off. I think my current bin room is a more hygeinic place than that. Regardless of the whole accommodation complaining of this they did nothing for the whole year and have now put new washing machines in each flat at the end of everyone's tenancy. My flatmate was also very loud and unprofessional who left the flat in this state. Him and his "girlfriend" caused a lot of issues in the flats including vandalising doors which YPP did nothing about (pictures attached). This is the worst experience whilst studying at Manchester for over 5 years and living out and I hope that neither I or you have to deal with such a dysfunctional and misleading company again. YPP can you be honest for once. They haven't paid back the deposit for someone who moved out on 28th of June. You demand deposit in a second and why can't you do the same ? . Do you know how much people are suffering to raise such deposits? YPP manchester .
