If I could give no stars I would.

If I could give no stars I would.This company took the best part of £1000 from us and did nothing in return.They valued the house at £550,000, yet never came to view it, and promised us a quick sale based on the property’s uniqueness.They also claimed to have a panel of investors interested in properties like ours.It seemed like a good deal all round.Once we’d signed the paperwork (digital, online) we heard nothing. They refused our calls and our contacts were either sick, on leave or had left.These people appear to be crooks. They get their money immediately from a finance company and we pay The finance company. Therefore Bettermove are removed from the line of fire because the debt has been passed on.We contacted the finance company for help but after 12 weeks they said they couldn’t do anything. Surprise Surprise.We have never had any viewings from Bettermove and, on last occasion I actually got through to them they seem totally disinterested in our plight.Why should they be interested; they’ve found other mugs to extract money from without doing any work.Take my advice and Steer well clear of this crowd!

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. No free marketing of your property hidden from you. Poor customer services. Don't fall for the sales pitch. They even confirmed a viewing for my property AFTER I had informed them that I wanted to cancel straight away. A very, very bad consumer experience.

I am writing yet another review about Bettermove as people need to know to avoid them. This year they cold called me promising they could sell my property within a couple of months . How they got my number is beyond me! It was all false promises and there were no investors waiting as I had been previously told. I fought against paying the package fee as they never did as promised . The ombudsman ruled against me saying I should have cancelled within the 14 days if I wasn’t happy . How pathetic . It took six months to find out I was being taken for a ride! I’ve had to pay £959 for nothing. Since writing another review recently Bettermove have personally called me to question why I have wrote negative comments about them . I was shocked, it’s a consumer review site. Companies shouldn’t call people like that, ! I have blocked their number . There are many reviews appearing on here who have all had the same experience as me . This company needs to cease trading. Please keep sharing your reviews ! I cannot understand how this company is not being investigated!! They know how to set up a contract that nobody can get out of ! Absolutely disgusting. Constant bad reviews yet still nobody will investigate them . Can anybody help expose them please ??. Update .... yet more bad reviews every week . The same three staff reporting them it’s laughable! Keep em coming !

Poor service, No Management, Thieves, Stay Away

An appalling level of customer service. I have been trying to collect a refund from the company for 6 months. Despite going through the proper complaints procedure and receiving a cheque . Bettermove STOPPED PAYMENT of the cheque and have deliberately ignored emails and phone calls from myself to resolve the issue since . Do not use this company! Even before the trouble I had collecting the money owed to me , I was unhappy with the service. The company claimed they had buyers already interested in my property. This was not the case! I had no potential buyer or viewing through the use of this company.Harry from Bettermove called admitting the company is in problems,short of staff and has poor management. He promised to resolve my issue which again he admitted should not have happen and that I am in the right to receive my money back. Harry promised to return my money, once again empty promises from Bettermove!! This is appalling, how is this company allowed to steal from people and get away with it ?!? They continue to ignore emails and calls. I have put in a complaint to the ombudsman and will publicly expose this company on all platforms including my business and social blogs consisting of over 25 000 people if this carries on.

Empty Promises, Stopped Payments and GDPR breach

Terrible service do not sell with them

Terrible service do not sell with them. They conned me In to letting them sell my property. They told me to sign the credit agreement as they had a cash buyer. They insisted I’d only have to pay one month upfront then the rest of completion. The offer was £100,000 less than the asking price an absurd offer! They also stole my photos taken from a previous agent! But yet they insist after 2 weeks on the market I’m liable for a £1,000 fee and they didn’t even sell my house!!!

Avoid this bogus agent !

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!! They told me they have investors waiting to buy my apartment within two to three months. ... but I had no interest or viewings in five months . Unhelpful rude staff who don’t contact you ,unless you call them. No higher management to complain to! Told them to remove my property off the market as I am unhappy with their part of the agreement ,and they are demanding their £959 fee for doing nothing. IStay clear !! Update on 4th June. I’ve gone through their complaints procedure which is completely pointless , as the complaints manager is also the sales rep . Ridiculous! After ten weeks they ruled I had to pay them as I had cost them a lot of time and money . Laughable!! I’ve also found more complaints on here about how bad the company is treating people. They need investigating! Avoid , avoid !! . Update . Sept 2018 . The ombudsman have ruled in Bettermoves favour saying I signed an agreement so I must pay. Why do consumers have nowhere to turn against these bogus companies?? Absolutely shocking that a company can scam so many people ,and are getting away with it . The reviews on here says it all !! Please think before you sign on the dotted line !

The staff kept me fully informed at all times and found me a buyer very quickly. The after sales service was excellent and even rang me after completion to make sure everything was ok. DO NOT USE!!! False promises! Unprofessional and uncaring DO NOT trust anything this company says they give you all the flannel and basically flew so much smoke up my backside! Spewing your home is beautiful, you’ve got such a Lovely house, I can’t believe your agents hasn’t sold it yet!! And it’s so under valued, your home is worth more. We’ve got cash buyers waiting for homes like yours so much rubbish was said to me and unfortunately I stupidly fell for it!A few months later, no viewings and no updates and the brochure has only just been done, I have to chase them and badger them constantly to no avail!!Should not be allowed to trade!

False promises and lies

Please do not trust anything this company says regarding getting your full listing fee refunded if they do not get you an offer within 98% of the listing price.I have an email from the Sales Director promising exactly that, and this followed numerous telephone calls singing the praises of what they could do for us.“Lovely house”, “can’t believe your current agent haven’t been able to get more viewings”, “put the listing cost onto an interest free credit card and there is no cost if the house doesn’t sell”, “many cash rich clients just waiting to buy properties like this in your area”. Just a few of the sales lines used, and 6 months later we had only one offer, which was just over 50% of the asking price.It’s taken 6 months and lots of effort and frustration to get our money back. We followed their complaints procedure and they said we weren’t entitled to our money back. We followed a second level complaints procedure where eventually they asked us for a copy of an email we had promising our money back, before they eventually agreed we were due to a refund. They then said they wouldn’t refund £200 as it was an admin fee. We argued this case and eventually they agreed we were due a full refund.That wasn’t the end though, they then wouldn’t actually pay the money back to us. Various excuses, broken promises, missed payment dates.I had to explore other ways to force them to repay. I contacted my bank to ask them if they could retrieve the payment made through their credit card, and had to provide full details, that didn’t work.Finally I contacted the Property Ombudsman who eventually were able to pressure BetterMove into refunding our money.Sales pressure, false promises, lies, terrible customer service.Stay well clear it’s just not worth the stress!

Hard job made easy

I chose this company for the differed payment option as other companies were wanting either a large, upfront payment or didn't seem bothered in selling my property. I can honestly say that the company was an absolute pleasure to deal with and the professional way that Julie Miller dealt with my sale made my experience easy and stress free. I would highly recommend using Bettermove to anyone. The dedication and hard work just goes to prove that they really can sell any property (mine was for sale with other agents for 2 and a half years!).
