We found Jyoti Kumar (and later Naz) to be excellent, open and professional. They put us at ease when searching for a property for our son - Accommodating the short time we had to look at properties and they were able to quickly find properties well matched and suited to our requirements. All documentation and administration followed efficiently and without any delay. All responses were quick and forth coming. We will certainly recommend this agency as 5 star!!

As a tenants in a property Tara & Co let, we found the following: - they were helpful getting us into the property - the process was well explained and made clear to us. - once in the property, the agents were mostly hands-off - any support required had to come directly from the landlord Once we handed in our notice, things went downhill... - unfortunately there only appears to be one or two knowledgeable people working there - most of the other staff we spoke to struggled to understand our questions and were unable to provide answers. - the agents who organised viewings for the next tenants showed no regard for our property or the landlord's house - when we returned after one viewing we found muddy foot-prints in the carpets and some of our belongings had been removed from the house and thrown into the garden! - the agents required repeated chasings to establish what was happening following the end of the tenancy - a stark contrast to when we moved in...

If you need more stress in your life by all means rent a house with Tara & Co. 'Charge happy and rude to customers' is my experience with them. Even if you are continuing your contract you have to pay new fees and re-apply for the same house you have been living in. They will charge you for referencing every time you finish one contract and start another- even if you have been renting with them for some time and always paid your rent and nothing about your situation has changed. They actually did next to nothing for us as tenants, as the landlord resolved any issues with the house himself, yet charged through the roof for the privilege of having them. What's even worse is the patronising and rude way they speak to tenants, while also being pretty stupid and unable to grasp simple ideas. It's as if they forget that tenants, as well as landlords, are their customers. Unless you absolutely have to, definitely avoid this company.

I hope this review will help resolve the issues me and my housemates have faced with this agency. In November 2022 we viewed a property in Coventry, which was managed by this agency. It was close to the University of Warwick and in quite good condition, with separate rooms and bathrooms for each, at a relatively good price. We decided to go through with the deal. Completing the documents was relatively smooth however it started to become problematic when we had to show our passports and Student ID cards. We all emailed them our identification documents, including the international (EU) housemate, who also emailed them his immigration status in the UK and his right to rent in the UK via UKVI. However in a few months (April 2023) they asked him to give documents again. He emailed them with documents again, but this time they did not respond to his questions about why they were not satisfied the first time. Anyhow, in May 2023, we all received an email from them, that we all need to do this again. They again did not respond to our emails with documents until one of us called them, so their treatment was rude ever since signing the contract and putting down the initial deposit. However, the real horror began, when the first housemate went to pick up the keys and tried to move in on the 2nd of September. He gained access to the estate, however, the inside was terrifying. To put it simply it was not adequate for the living of three human beings. The list of issues was as follows: Kitchen: Dirty and stained carpets, Non-functioning washing machine (cannot close), Broken freezer drawer, inadequately fixed with insulating tape, Offensive odour emanating from the fridge freezer, Mould in the fridge, Hob that does not turn off, Damaged hob surface, Damaged oven door, Broken blinds, Peeling paint on the windowsill Downstairs Ensuite: Mould on walls in the bedroom, Mould infestation in the bathroom, Dampness in the rooms, Walls in a dirty and stained condition, Missing headboard on the bed, Unusable and filthy mattress Downstairs Toilet: Missing door handle on the downstairs toilet Middle Floor Bathroom: The damaged toilet, Mould on the sink near the tap, in the bath, and behind the toilet covering Middle Floor Bedroom: Bed in damaged condition, Peeling headboard, Broken handle on the drawer, Unusable mattress, Stained and dirty walls, Mould on windowsill and wall Top Floor Ensuite: Blinds infested with mould, Torn and unusable mattresses, Dirty, and stained walls Front and Back Garden: The driveway overrun with weeds, Driveway cluttered with rubbish from the previous tenant, Overgrown garden prevents the opening of windows and doors from the kitchen Beyond the immediate health hazards, their agency has repeatedly failed to adhere to the contractual agreement signed by all parties. Anyhow, we tried at first to force them to fix the issues fast however, we soon realised that the property will not be fitted for living for a long time considering the eagerness and organisational abilities of the agents, hence we were forced to try and terminate the contract from our side, despite already paying the deposit and one month rent each. Consider also that the tenancy started on the 1st of September, however as of today, the house is still unliveable. Additionally, the international student was scheduled to arrive in the first week of September, however, that was of course not possible due to the state of the property. We have not occupied the property ever since that day and we do not intend to. We merely expect repayment of our deposit and rent since, after such negligence and unfair treatment, it is the only thing that could make us forget what they have done to us. We have now found a new property that is stunning with a great and attentive agent, however, the situation with Tara&Co has still not been resolved. We have been caused a lot of stress and anxiety by this agency; hence we would never recommend it to anyone and can only wish that nobody would ever face such a terrible situation.

If you are using Tara and Co, I am so so sorry. I mourn with you the loss of your time, energy and any excitement you had with the prospect of moving into a new home. The negligence, incompetence and gaslighting made me die a little bit inside. So did my friend, who went without heating during the winter. If you do end up here, I sincerely hope you end up with Jyoti who seems to be the only reasonable person...
