GoogleBrilliant service from Tara and Co today particularly Jyoti who was brilliant, speedy, helpful and knowledgeable. She worked really hard to get things sorted for us. Very happy and would definitely recommend. That girl needs a pay rise!!

GoogleIf you are a student from Warwick University in particular- DO NOT RENT A PROPERTY WITH THIS ESTATE AGENTS. Me and my flatmates have experienced numerous problems with the house and even after calling and complaining to the landlord and Tara & Co, they were both very slow to help resolve our problems. This review concerns the property 57 KINGSWAY, LEAMINGTON SPA. As the images demonstrate we had a huge initial problem with mold and then later, an infestation due to holes under our front door through which mice entered our house, (although it would not surprise me if they were already there when we moved in, as the house was in an appalling state after it had been apparently ‘cleaned’ by professional cleaning services). The mold when we arrived was not just on the walls around the house, but also in the washing machine and other appliances. Therefore, the house itself was a health and safety issue which we became the victims of. We also had an issue with a broken drain which gave off a revolting smell around the house all year around, until it was resolved months later. Of course, these are just few of the issues mentioned. Apart from accommodating all sorts of creatures from the animal kingdom like huge garage spiders, mice, slugs (appeared in the bathroom and kitchen) and even maggots (that lived in the damp sofa downstairs- only realised after we moved out), the landlord was a rude and mean human. Every encounter resulted in him directly shouting at us, exposing him as a man with serious anger issues. It is unbelievable that such a house is even allowed for students to rent. However, what pains me more is the way in which we were treated by the landlord and the poor quality of advice we were given. The images shown were taken when we initially moved in (apart from the mice) and there are plenty more! I just hope that the landlord actually does ‘refurbish’ the house as he claimed he did last summer for the next tenants and makes sure the mice are fully gone and paints over the mould in house etc.. NEVER AGAIN. Piece of advice for Tara & Co: • Ensure properties rented to tenants are given in humane conditions and just meet basic human and health standards (we do not expect the living standards of Brazilian slums) • Ensure the landlords you hold agreements with know how to deliver adequate customer service and do not simply scream at their tenants

Hi Daria, as per my response on Facebook, to the same review, Tara & Co do not manage the property. We let the property and collect rent on their behalf. I am more than happy to look into the issues for you but understand you have moved out and waited until now to mention the above issues? Could you please contact me so we can go through the problems mentioned? I would really like to ensure you are left with a more positive image of the company,and a better understanding of our agreement with the landlord. If action needs to be taken to bring a landlords property up to standard, we involve the council if this is outside of our managed remit. GoogleI was a student at the University of Warwick renting a property. On an individual level, Katerina our estate agent was completely unprofessional - continually ignoring emails, skipping over issues we had with the property failing to address even minor details raised, resulting in continual stress. Tara and co as a whole failed to notify us of a burglary of our house until a WEEK afterwards by which point our stuff was long gone (they didn’t pass over our details to the police who wanted to inform us - even the officer complained at their lack of handling of the issue). Katerina outright refused to come to the property and talk to the police despite her being the first one into the property. Our landlords were actually nice but as our property was run by Tara and Co we hold the company wholly responsible for all the stress we had. A lack of communication by them meant we were continually rung and emailed about issues we had already resolved or were no longer part of. All in all don’t rent from these guys they are fully terrible. They also made us pay a reservation fee to almost apply for the house and then charged us a full months rent as a deposit - no other estate agent is doing this so go elsewhere, common courtesy is for the fee to be deducted from the deposit but not with these guys

GoogleMy experience with this property management company has been profoundly disappointing. Over the past two years, during which I have rented two separate properties under their management, I have encountered a litany of unresolved issues such as non-functional shower for a staggering three months, persistent heating problems, and faced the inconvenience of a broken freezer. Despite repeated requests for assistance, their response time has been appallingly slow, often extending over several months. This egregious neglect reflects a palpable lack of concern for their tenants' well-being.

GoogleI recently purchased a property via Tara and Co. Gurinder and the team have always been exceptional and handled all queries professionally and promptly throughout. They assisted in chasing solicitors to bring the matter to a rapid completion. David French and the student department have also managed to swiftly secure tenants for the next academic year (2016-2017) which is great news. I have no hesitation in recommending both the sales and lettings departments

GoogleI had a tough time moving in, had a lot of stuff and had to move in alone. The first taxi driver drove off with my stuff and the estate agents helped sort me out, we got my stuff back. GoogleI was disappointed to see them charge £600 administration fees to a group of students, even though we spoke face to face with them for less than 5 minutes. They did very little to support us, we were forced to arrange our own house viewing and look through the contract with absolutely no guidance - it is hard to see what they did to warrant such a high administration fee. Three months later, I sent my first month's rent (totalling £3,066.54) to the Bank Account stated in the contract that was sent to me and I had signed. Days later I received an email requesting my first month's rent into a completely different account. I spoke to Tara & Co, who had no idea about where my money had gone. Finally, after a long telephone conversation, they found that the contract (which I had signed and was legally binding) was incorrect, and gave the incorrect banking information. Although the issue was eventually sorted, I remain extremely disappointed and concerned about the service that I have received. The way that we have been treated (especially as students with limited knowledge of renting a house) has been disgraceful. To summarise, we paid a £600 administration fee for a 5 minute conversation, to be sent an incorrect contract, and to have £3,000 of our money temporarily lost. I would not recommend this estate agents to anyone, especially not students.

I am sorry to hear that an administration error on the contract has caused distress, and have immediately picked this up with the team who generate contracts to ensure this doesn't happen in future.
