Terrible handling of property. No communicate w/ landlords causing problems to tenants.

The office in leamington spa - terrible. They will confirm the price. And they call you after you have deposited your money for the property. After two days they will increase the price. And i agreed to the increased price. And after nearly one week. They will increase the price again saying they spoke to the land lord. So they put me in a position where i had to agree because after all the processing and referencing done. They put it very bluntly that someone is ready to take that property. Really felt like i wasted my time. I really liked the property as it was convinient. And i was in a rush. They just take advantage of the situation you are in i guess. Really unprofessional. Only interested in profits and bonuses. Dont do the same mistake i did. Make sure you confirm the price and sign the paperwork when you book a property so they wont keep increasing the price until the date you move in. At last they will say - at the end of the day....

A terrible lettings company, was warned off by colleagues, but still went ahead with the lease. The house we rented was in a complete state of disrepair, there were signs of flooding in the downstairs, all fixtures and fitting had been damaged. The shower stopped working after a few weeks and took a month for them to fix it. All other correspondences regarding maintenance were delayed by weeks sometimes months and subsequently nothing got fixed. When we eventually decided enough was enough it took over 6 months to get our deposit back, with very little communication from Accord, every time we asked to speak with our rep they were busy/on leave/out of the office.....absolutely no respect. Beyond useless, be warned. I whole heartedly echo other reviews AVOID AT ALL COSTS even if you like the house they’re marketing, it’s not worth the time, money or stress.

The initial placement of tenants and payment was good and timely, however things went downhill from there. I had to remind Accord that the current tenants were due to move out in two weeks and that they needed to market the property. Accord managed to find tenants through luck more than good planning. When we informed the next tenants that we were going to sell the house and not renewal their lease agreement Accords management came into question. The tenants were restrictive in allowing access for viewings and surveys Accords answers was 'there's nothing we can do'! It took about 3 weeks to allow one house viewing. Our solicitor looked at the lease contract, and commented that the contract was not worth the paper it was written on! there were so many loops holes and meaningless wording. We felt that Accords whole service was towards the tenant and not towards looking after the landlord. We live in the USA and paid a lot of money for management charges so expected a quality service, we certainly didn't receive this. On maintenance issues always get a couple of quotes, the maintenance companies Accord used were always overpriced and seemed to have an understanding with that company!! If I was renting out a house in the Leamington area, I would never think of using Accord.
