GoogleI had my house on the market for 3-4 month with esell i had 1-3 viewings over this period. I decided to pay a bit extra and go with JDG. John was very professional and obviously new his stuff. I had a wave of viewings immediately and the house was sold within 7 days. I was selling from overseas. Their constant communication and follow up with all parties made the process stress free. I could not recommend them any higher. If there was 6 stars ide be clicking that. Thanks JDG team!!!

GoogleI cannot fault the estate agent. Louise was incredibly friendly and helpful from start to finish. She emailed me updates and supported me when there were miscommunications with the solicitors. There was no requirement for phone calls and all communication after the initial offer was through email - I am autistic, so this is what made the process possible for me. All in all a very positive experience.

GoogleThese guys have an abysmal policy that you must view the property before you can purchase. Great if you live in the area, not so great if you don’t and have to spend hundreds of pounds travelling to view every property. There’s also a good chance they will sell the property before you get chance to see it after you have made travel arrangements, in my case causing the loss of several hundreds of pounds in bookings to travel and in accommodation. This is after I made a cash offer on one of their properties which they refused to accept. Effectively they have banned me from being able to buy a house in my hometown because I had the temerity to move away for a few years. I know all the houses and areas in Lancaster, I’d like to buy one for cash, all it needs to do is pass a survey, the rest is cosmetic, what’s your problem? Mmmm... apparently you legally obliged to put an offer from prospective buyers, I will be following this up....
Dear Paul. I'm sorry you feel this way. The owner of the property is aware that you wished to offer without seeing the property. Her preference however was to proceed with a buyer who had viewed and seen the condition of the home first hand hence her decision. There was lots of viewings booked for this home and our client was keen to secure a buyer sooner rather than later. Ultimately we will always follow a sellers wishes. We will have lots of other homes coming up for sale and if you would prefer to book a virtual viewing, please just let the team know.

They are so confident in what they do that they guaranteed us no fees if there is no sale, which is very different to other estate agents in Lancaster. There are no hidden fees. GoogleReally poor experience with this agency when trying to purchase property. Lost out on best and finals initially - no problem with this. The successful buyer was unable to get a mortgage though, and the agency failed to make me aware. When I discovered it still on rightmove I enquired again and resubmitted my offer. Then I was told another offer was being negotiated and had just been accepted. When I called to speak to the manager Mr Gallagher who I presume is the owner, to see if there was anything I could do and to discuss my experience he was rude and dismissive. He also said he would make a judgment about whether or not to put my offer forwards based on me getting my point across to his satisfaction. Considering there is a legal obligation to present all offers this is more than a little concerning to buyers and sellers alike. Avoid.

From beginning to end they hold your hand all the way, the viewings were second to none and there were a lot of them. GoogleI cannot speak too highly about the service provided by JDG in handling the recent house sale - even though I was 250 miles away from Lancaster! From my first meeting with John - through all the phone calls from many members of staff (all of whom were very efficient and friendly and I don't want to give names in case I miss some one out!) - to the successful sale, it all went well. Well done all of you - it was a pleasure dealing with you all at what was a difficult time.
