Can't believe what happened

A comedy of errors, we wanted a property valuation from them, first thing that was strange was there office door was locked,we had to knock to be let it. Then a lady who was on the phone said take a seat, (there was only one), there was a sign that said, first, lets have a coffee, that was a myth, no coffee and,we had to get another one from somebody's computer desk,ok...so we discussed the property and she said said Wednesday or Thursday suit you, yes that's fine. Later we received a call saying ah, I made a mistake Michelle is out of the county, we can do sometime next week. By this point, we thought everything has gone wrong within 15 minutes, what chance have they got of selling the property. Can you imagine a potential buyer making an appointment, then maybe told, can we make it next week....

David and Graham took the utmost care to keep us all safe during viewings and were excellent in communicating thought out the viewing process. They always reassured us and they are great at what they do. Michelle is a wonderful person and offered us amazing strategic oversight and advice right from day one! If estate agent puts pressure on completing but your solicitor recommends a walk through before exchanging contracts, do it!! Because even though I was told by estate agents it wasn't necessary as nothing had changed with the property since I last viewed it, and there would be a cleaning, and removal of debris and a microwave dumped on garden. None of this happened. Ghosted. And what I found was this (see pics). Additionally, the original adverts for 24 Pennine View Glasson Dock said nothing of it being a full renovation. Advert contained filtered photos and a list price that was insane considering condition. Bait and switch. Not a good business practice. I now explore my options. #jdgestateagents

Do not trust them and lying so blatantly to try and sell a property. They have a good portfolio of properties and when speaking with their staff on the phone they are lovely. However we visited a property in lancaster and spotted some warning signs of damp the guy showing the property just blatantly lied to us and said there are no problems with damp. When we pointed out the very obvious ones including the walls being really wet in two rooms on the top floor and the fact that there was holes in the roof where we could see the daylight coming through, he continued to lie. There were a few other things he claimed that did not match what we were seeing. Went and bought the next house we saw with a different agent

Having been thoroughly let down in every aspect of my time with another agency, I'd become quite disheartened about selling our house. And then I met Michelle. She was a whirlwind of fresh air blowing into my life. I received honesty, open conversation and it was a no brainer to go with JDG. Now here's where things were noticeably different. There was a team of extremely lovely, helpful people who did everything to sell the house. I genuinely think their customer service should be marketed across the country. The team are exceptional. They have the patience of saints, the humour of best friends, the consolation of therapists. When offers started to come in they fought to get me the perfect buyer, and succeeded. Enter the next phase of being wonderfully kept informed of every step. This was at times, very stressful especially when we were given a tight deadline for my purchase. But I needn't have worried. Not once was I made to feel I was a nuisance for calling or checking on things, instead I was treated with respect, most unlike the previous company. Today was completion day, and I'm a little sad that my communication with these beautiful people is over. So John, Michelle, Cassie, Fiona, David and Louisa, thank you, thank you, thank you. You really were the estate agent I never realised I needed.

JDG, particularly Josh and his brilliant team have managed the letting of our flat for more than 6 years now. They are fantastic. Everything is run, organised and managed competently and smoothly and we never have to worry about anything. This is especially important with the times in between tenants and the organisation of changes in utility bills, council tax etc. Not that we ever have much time in between tenants as JDG don’t hang around when it comes to finding new ones. Dreadful service, I was meant to have a viewing at 10am. I left my house in Essex at 5am during an amber warning to arrive at the house with no one there. Therefore I called and I got told they have moved my booking to the wrong column which is ridiculous considering the spam reminders i received. To then receive the most naive comment “can you wait till 12” as if I don’t have other viewings up north to look later on today. Took a day off work for this rubbish
