JDG is an outstanding estate agent to work with. Over the course of two years they both let and sold my property and every member of the team was excellent. When the house was put up for sale, I was especially impressed by the detailed notes that were entered onto the system after every viewing - making it possible for other members of the team to share and pass on information quickly. It was great to get these regular updates. Care was also taken in marketing my property which was essential given that it was a very old cottage (buiilt 1692) that wouldn't appeal to everyone. The advice I received from Michelle and John Gallagher regarding how to proceed - including when to put the property up for sale - was invaluable and I was happy to proceed on their frank and honest advice at every stage of the process. It was no surprise to me that the company won the 'Estate Agent of the Year' award and I shall continue to recommend them to my friends in Lancaster.

Fab-u-lous ! Definitely a 10 out of 10 ! On the market on the Friday afternoon for £10k more than other valuations, eight viewings booked and a full asking price offer made by the second viewers. So on and off the market in just 4 days with completion 11 weeks later. Michelle and her team were the epitome of professionalism - a little more expensive than other agents but well worth it, they paid for themselves three times over ! Will use them again most definitely.

We sold our house through JDG, and are in the process of buying an apartment through the estate agents. Through the whole process, communication has been excellent, and the team’s willingness to help, and facilitate a smooth as move as possible has been second to none during very difficult times. Their website is easy to navigate, and the team respond positively if you’re having a wobbly day. We could not recommend JDG in all aspects of selling, buying or letting. Currently, we are renting our apartment until completion, and there was an issue with the hot water. The issue was dealt with efficiently and affectively the next working day. Thank you Team JDG!

I have known John and Michelle since they stated their business many years ago now, I have used JDG a couple of times to sell my house but tried someone different and cheaper this time (that was a mistake) they say you get what you pay for and I did, very little response from the people I chose to sell with after a sale was arranged. Fortunately for me my sales progression assistant on the bungalow I was purchasing from JDG was Louisa Jones who has worked extremely hard in finding out required information further down the chain liaising with my solicitor and then keeping me updated. Due to Covid restrictions when David showed us around the property he left us to view the house on our own and kept his distance at all times and never removed his mask he answered any questions we had later when we were outside in the open, again very professional. If you are thinking of selling I would recommend you have a chat with JDG before making a decision to use a different agent. A big Thank You to Louisa and all the team at JDG for everything

I have worked with John and Michelle on a professional level for many years, however I have never dealt with them personally. We have used JDG twice to sell for us. The first sale went really smoothly it has to be said. It was in a sellers market. Louisa was great to work with once we had accepted an offer. Great communication. The second sale was in a trickier market, but we accepted a reduced offer and all went OK until the buyers pulled out with 4 days to go. Stressful is an understatement. But we devised a plan B, and the calm approach of Michelle and John helped us to have faith in the process. We popped a new roof on the house and the second sale went through brilliantly. Louisa, again working really well at keeping all involved, informed and all calm. Acceptance of offer to completion, 23 days! Phew. I am sure we will go down the same route if we sell again. It’s officially complete - our first home is sold! Can’t thank the JDG team enough - people say selling a house can be one of the most stressful experiences, but JDG have made it totally painless. Michelle took the time to get to know us and think about how to market the house... it clearly paid off because it sold, for our full asking price, after the very first day of viewings.
