Very please with the service and result of selling my mother’s house via Bridgfords Swinton. Mike was knowledgeable and efficient. His sale price estimate was 20% higher than another local firm but he managed to achieve it. He also arranged to visit mum in her care home to complete the paperwork. Happy to recommend.

**Updated since new property manager** Rebecca, Senior Property Manager, has been really great to work with and always promptly responds to our emails, following up with polite and friendly phone calls if there is any delay from our end/to update us on issues. Issues are now resolved more quickly and we are kept in the loop with reasons if there are any delays. Old review for info: The Lettings team in Withington were really lovely, accommodating and friendly. However, the property management team that take over once you are inside the property have not been the best. Our property was not ready for move-in at the time we had agreed which was disappointing. There have been several change overs of staff with little to no handover of what is happening with the property which can be frustrating. There can also be quite a delay in hearing back from the team when issues are raised.

Branch staff good, conveyancing beyond horrendous

Started the journey of selling my flat with Bridgfords well, great listing, quickly found a buyer, then Bridgfords conveyancing service took over and was incompetent at every turn. 6 months on from accepting an offer I’ve had to end the sale as my mental health couldn’t handle anymore of the misleading, lies and gaslighting from their conveyancers. Was so bad even the branch staff said they were embarrassed at how bad it was.

If I could put 0 I would. My cousin gave notice that he was giving up the flat due to family and health issues. Before he was able to remove his things (within a week) they have taken his belonging and given only some clothing back. They have stolen a family air loom watch (Rolex) , cash that was for Christmas, not given back any expensive trainers .. they have drip fed some things back since like the tvs and yet to receive the Xbox, they have photos of his stuff on their report which they haven’t given back. They are not to be trusted . They are proceeding to trade non ethically and illegally. Reports to police have been made. They prey on vulnerable people

We recently sold our house in Ladybarn through Bridgfords on Wilmslow Road and from the minute we registered the property through the whole stressful sales cycle the Bridgfords team kept everything running smoothly. We hit snags and problems and found solutions, we had delays and chased things up - Sian and her team were patient, understanding and very professional. It will be all smiles and fake-help until you actually sign a contract to rent with them and then they become an absolute joke. Funnily enough, even the slightest bit of competence would have saved everyone (including them) a LOT more hassle with the experience we had. Stewart was the manager at the time and he was absolutely horrendous to deal with. His response to us being burgled after a few days of repeatedly trying to get him on the phone (the forensic officer said it could've been prevented because the door lock was not insurance grade and the burglar alarm did not go off, even though we had been repeatedly asking for it to be repaired) was 'oh well, everyone gets burgled', with 0 sympathy, and 0 rush to refund us for having to call out an emergency locksmith which could all have been avoided should they have actually responded to our messages about the door/alarm in the first place!! Very very glad we have now since moved on from them. The 1 star is to the one person who was left to clean up Stewart and co's mess at the end, but everyone else deserves 0. Please save yourself the hassle and AVOID renting here.

Recently, an excellent service has been provided by the Lettings Manager and his team. As a tenant, I feel like my needs are taken in to consideration and that I am a valued customer. The Lettings Manager and his team always listen to feedback and are excellent at providing help and support whenever it is needed. Improvements within the Property Management arm of the business have also been made, making it much easier to report problems and have them sorted. Overall, an excellent service from them.

The communication was great, every few days a got an update on how things were progressing. Bridgfords Gosforth

Bridgfords Gosforth - categorically the worst letting agents I have ever dealt with. They were very efficient at getting credit checks completed and the rent and deposit organised. After that though the service was appalllng. We picked up they keys a few days before we moved in and noticed a wash basin in the ensuite was smashed, and the premises was generally dirty (not mentioned on the inventory). Rang and advised - and said they could access the property to repair if necessary. It was not repaired when I moved in and I was advised this was because I needed to report through their portal. In the first week I had to report repairs - washing machine not plumbed in, broken toilet seats, kitchen cupboards so dilapidated the drawers fell out when opened, gas fire not working, thermostats missing/broken on radiators, ventilation fans not working plus the smashed basin. It took them 7 weeks to get some of the repairs done, the remainder were outstanding when I left 6 months later. I chased and chased but just got told they aren't priority repairs (repairs on white goods are supposed to be prioritised). Once I handed my notice in they were super efficient at arranging viewings to get some other poor fool to pay £850 to live in a cold badly maintained property.Although I have seen a copy of the check out report which mentioned lots of issues, all of which predated my tenancy, I have never had confirmation that the Land Lord is happy ( They brow beat me into taking a zero deposit arrangement which was very expensive so I don't have a deposit to come back) All in all swift to take your money slow to respond to issues and communications demonstrate how little they care about their tenants. I cannot recommend highly enough that you avoid this business like the plague.
