I would highly recommend working with Josh M at this branch of M&P. We were planning to purchase a property through Marsh & Parsons in late 2024 and Josh M was the one who showed the property and handled the purchase. Josh was absolutely brilliant and supportive. He went above and beyond to facilitate the process between the involved parties and iron-out issues as they appeared, providing reassurance and responding clearly and quickly by email and by phone. Unfortunately, the purchase fell through (through no fault of Josh or M&P), but despite this, Josh was the most positive, efficient, and communicative party involved and we fully intend to work with him in future purchases because he inspired such sense of confidence, reliability, and friendliness that is sorely lacking across the the industry.

Our house was rented out in one viewing

Being complete novices at playing landlords, we had an excellent experience letting out our London house with Marsh & Parsons. We contacted a few estate agents, and M&P were the most forthcoming agency. They came to see us quickly and - most importantly - quoted so correctly and realistically that our house got rented out after one single viewing! Joe Kayill and Sam De Freine (from the Brixton branch) were super professional and always available to answer questions.Hadaya Halali helped us with the accounting side, which was rather confusing and needed a few updates. Darcy Clifford is now managing our property. She has been attentive, quick, and kind. We've been so well looked after that I suspect our tenants would say the same thing about the M&P team!

We had a good experience selling our flat. James was our main point of contact, and he did a great job ensuring the flat was listed quickly, had many viewers and we managed to get a fair offer and sell the flat relatively quickly. Our flat was let out during the sale. James coordinated viewings with our tenant and ensured they had plenty of notice. We always knew how the sale was progressing and all communication was quick and efficient. Quickly got tenants in to the property and settled in to the apartment

Thanks to George Noel-Shore we've let our apartment twice quickly and at market rate. The listing process and viewings were very well organised. We also use Marsh & Parsons for management and have had prompt responses from Abdullah to our emails. The check-in with the tenants went smoothly and all the steps were carried out so they could settle in quickly. I believe the tenants have comfort knowing they can contact our property manager at any time should there be any issues and we will always work to resolve it as soon as possible.

Reporting them to the Ombudsman

My experience with this incompetent, shameless and unprofessional company has gone on for three years. A few examples:- They arranged for their contractor to carry out a window repair job (cost c. £10,000). The job was defective and carried out terribly (including installing some single glazing, which also happens to be illegal) and it has come to light two years later. When I complained, their excuse is that it's not their responsibility as it is a third party contractor and that the contractor has also ceased trading, but that it's also been too long. 2 years for windows costing £10k is NOT too long.It is also a lie that the contractors have gone out of business - I have checked Companies' House and they have simply opened a new company and dissolved the old one.- Marsh & Parsons' relationship with third party contractors, for whom they bare no responsibility is unprofessional. I was accidentally copied into emails between them, where the tone is overly friendly and the emails are full of kisses and smiley emojis. This is being reported to the Ombudsman and you can probably infer what that means about the overall nature of the relationship between Marsh & Parsons and their third party contractors.- They cannot be trusted with any quotes they obtain for works needed. For example, I was quoted £216 to tighten a loose doorhandle. Let this be your guide as to how overinflated the prices are for larger works.- Based on the fact I have had five property managers in three years (they all left the company), and each one weaker and less competent than the previous, make your own minds up as to what kind of place it is to work.- If you are in the unfortunate position where Marsh & Parsons are your property managers, I advise you not to accept any advice from them regarding repair works. There is no evidence that half of the work I had done was legally required, or even to make the tenants' lives easier. - Mid-term reports sent to me had text that was copied and pasted describing a different property. This became clear when I read references to rooms/features that do not exist in my property. When challenged, Marsh & Parsons said it was just an honest mistake. I paid a lot of money to have a property report done but hey, so what if they couldn't be bothered to complete it properly.- Did I mention that they charge 16% + VAT? I am completely at a loss as to what they in fact do for that money, other than making landlords' and tenants' lives a misery.There are many more issues with Marsh & Parsons, which I do not have time nor space to outline. The rest will be resolved through the legal route and the third party contractors are being reported to Trading Standards.

Excellent property management!

M&P provides great property management services. As a tenant, I felt that the property manager was accessible and attentive to things that needed fixing. The communication is clear and timely and they employ excellent third-party contractors to get the job done. Definitely would recommend a M&P managed property; Derbhla is a star property manager!The renewals negotiations team is another story as they obviously favor landlords and the outcomes can be unfair for tenants. They can for sure benefit from taking a page out of the M&P property management team's book on communication as well as on how to better their interpersonal skills working in a service industry.

Abysmal service

Abysmal service. Took them 2 years to do the first inspection despite continuous chasing. The contractors they use for any work (MasterFix - google them) are terrible, expensive and also pretty useless. Theyve made the whole property rental process miserable and I cant wait to be done with them.To make it even worse, instead of addressing the issues and trying to fix it, they reported my original review for containing the name of the property manager who is beyond useless.
