GoogleNo joke - I had a meeting with an agent Rene Maxwell in November 2022 who then kidnapped myself in her car. I really did not want with her in the car but she lured me falsely with the offer to give transport back to her office to get me to sign some non-offer letter which Rene said that was non-binding. What happened next is next day I receive a call from manager who said that Rene left. And what I signed was binding.

Non-existent communication. Viewings done by an unprepared team: didn't know level of service charge, exposure, if the appliances were new or not, size of the flat or rooms. One claimed we had replaced the kitchen (we hadn't), another that the Hue Lights we installed were staying in the flat for the buyer (we never said that).

GoogleAround 7pm near Streatham Station, I witnessed extremely dangerous driving from one of this company’s branded Mini cars. The driver’s conduct was shockingly reckless, swerving, speeding, almost hitting another car and showing no regard for other road users. This behaviour reflects extremely poorly on the business and raises serious questions about the standards they expect from their staff when representing the company in public. No one should be allowed to drive in such an irresponsible and dangerous way.

GoogleThere is no other Estate Agents like Foxtons - they can sell anything at all! This is my second encounter with Foxtons Streatham and I must say 10/10 !! If you really want a polished professional service they are definitely 150% no 200% sure to make you happy Mohamed Mohamed is top Negotiator, very polite and extremely calm. The Streatham Office is run by Dinishka Jayasena and believe me he runs a tip-top ship! Extremely great service that ticks all the boxes

Terrible service. Very disappointed. I found a short let property on their portal myself, the agent (Amir Abbasian) kept suggesting either awful properties, or ones over my budget. They were very quick to call back and close the deal but once the deal was made, I never once was able to speak directly to my agent Olivia Taylor, or anyone from Foxtons again. Repeated messages and email queries went unanswered. Every two weeks a new person would be in touch and all my queries would be ignored. The property was nice and in good condition but i paid Foxtons 350 pounds for the end of tenancy clean, and was slapped with a 600 pound cleaning claim on my deposit. The property was never cleaned and my landlord claimed the charges from my deposit. at least a dozen emails later, I still don't have a protection document number for my deposit. I was told my deposit was protected. I ws told I would be provided an inventory upon moving in. I was told the place would be cleaned at the end of my tenancy, for which i paid. None of the above happened. Still waiting for part of my deposit to be returned, even though they said it was transferred three weeks ago and should take 5 to 7 days to be credited. I've settled the dispute with my landlord now, even though it is extortion, but it seems even he was being cheated by Foxtons.

GoogleMid April, we signed for a new build flat with a moving date agreed on the 15th of May. We were told there was some work to be done on the electricity and that we would be living with temporary electricity system for a couple of weeks max. On the Friday 6th of May, we receive an email from Foxton saying that the move-in date was to be pushed to 16th of June, as the electricity company couldn't do the work due to bank holidays and so we wouldn't be able to move in on the 15th of May. Having no family in this country, we were literally homless. They didn't offer any alternative and doesn't respond to any suggestion we made, so we decided to place our furniture in storage, drive to my family in France for a month and move back for the 16th of June. I got in touch with Foxtons asking for the coats of storage to be deducted from our first month rent as a compensation for all the extra costs they inflicted on us. To this they answered that they wouldn't compensate for anything, and either would the landlord because the contract that we had signed, wasn't yet, signed by the landlord, which meant that none of Foxtons or the landlord were liable for any costs that we had to face. When I asked why the landlord didn't signed Foxton responded that landlord had until move in date to sign contract. They also mentioned that they hadn't had a contact in 3 weeks with the landlord as she was in another country and couldn't check her emails (Amazonian jungle probably). At this point I gave up and asked for the deposit and first month rent to be refunded to us immediately, which they did. Thanks to Foxton and it's incompetent staff, I have now spent over a £1000 extra than planned, and both my husband and I had to take a week off work to visit new properties to be able to move on due date. It's been an absolute nightmare from begining to end dealing with them. You constantly have to chase for updates, it takes day to get any decision approved, or any responses to your queries. But beyond this the most appalling thing is the lies they give you to make you wait or agree to what they want. I had to put 1 star to get this review posted, but quite frankly that's an insult for this poor star, she deserve much better. At the end of the day I'm thankfull this happened, as I clearly have dodged the bullet. Reading the reviews of this agency, this entire nightmare could have lasted for 2 years. Look at any other agencies I'd you can, it will save you money, time and extreme anxiety.

GoogleMelvin Rocha was very professional and helpful in the process of finding the right property for me. He quickly understood what type of property I was after and he organised the viewings very efficiently. This was very important as I had to commute to come to the viewings. Melvin is very knowledgeable about Streatham and the surrounding areas, and he often shared valuable information and suggestions that would help me in the decision making process. He was patient and he never missed to notify me when something interesting would come on the market. He would also do a meaningful follow up on the viewings. Melvin has a genuinely lovely personality and a great asset to your company. I have highly recommended him to my family members who are thinking of purchasing in the area.

GoogleOur agent Dominique was a mess from the start. Firstly, he failed to show up for the viewing we had. The most shocking thing was when we signed our tenancy, he shortly after requested we sign a new one as he spelt the landlord’s name wrong. However when he resent the agreement the name wasn’t changed but the length of the agreement went from 2 years to 3 to try and lock us in for longer. Also, the house wasn’t cleaned professionally. Poor communication and no accountability for his actions.

GoogleAmazing experience at Foxton's Streatham, Shout out to Nailah Cave, who was so patient and kind during such a stressful time! They made sure I was calm and kept me in the loop at all times, really friendly and professional service. I picked up my keys yesterday (got a free bottle of water, standard) and everything has gone so smoothly. Having all the stuff on MyFoxtons portal makes all the paperwork so much easier to complete - even though there's loads of it when you're moving, at least you know exactly what you need to fill in and feel sure you've completed everything you need to when it's all ticked off. 10/10

This bad for landlords because they get poor management, bad for tenants because they get poor representation, and bad for the industry because estate / letting agents are no longer accountable.

If you are a renter, please do not use Foxtons. They are a scammy horrible company that only serves the interests of the landlord. They rented us an overpriced disgusting dump by using old out-of-date photos in the rental ad, and locked us into an abusively restrictive contract that made it impossible to leave the horrible dump that ruined my mental health. Do yourself a favour and stay away from these money hungry scammers.

Extremely poor experience with Foxtons. We were left without proper cooking facilities for 25 days, which had a major impact on our daily life and forced us to spend extra money on food. A functioning cooker is a basic part of any home, yet this was not handled with the urgency it deserved.
Where the same review appears twice we show it once. We leave out reviews that name another agent or another of the brand's offices.
