Should be banned from trading

What an absolute joke of an estate agency. If you decide to sell your house with these clowns, be prepared to only have around 10% of interested buyers come to view your property. Totally against the property ombudsman code of practice, these lazy vultures will NOT let you even book a viewing unless you send them proof of funds to buy. This is only a legal requirement AFTER making an offer on a property, NOT to view one. It clearly states in the code of practice, agents can ask for proof, but CAN NOT demand it. Gemma who answers the phone out of hours, is clearly a person who needs to try and control people. She is rude, arrogant and a very sad little woman. So before putting your house on the market with these lazy fools, just remember, if they cba going to a viewing, they will simply block around 90% of potential buyers. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!!!

Shocking experience to buying a house

Shocking experience to buying a house. In Huddersfield. I offered over asking price and they made me wait 5 days with no response. I chased many times in between to not even get a phone call back. Told me fibs in between to keep me on hold , for to be told last min 2 other offers had been made which left no time to think and got sold within the couples of hours. Where as I was first to view and offered over asking so that it would have been accepted straight away. But they wasted my time on purpose. They just had to be honest and told me that other people are viewing and potential offers could be made, but made me feel that I was the highest offer for a while and they couldn’t reach either parties for 5 days!!! Stick with smaller companies!

Chadderton branch! Staff very friendly and helpful as much as they can be but their hands are tied by management.shocking experience! Promised us the earth to market our house but did not deliver, wasted 3 months with one buyer by not following basic rules. Turns out buyer did not have the funds! Also a lot dearer than their competitors in the area.We have also dealt with other branches in the area, just the same only interested in taking your money, never get back to you and poor service. Better off going to Kirkhams or cousins who are much cheaper and far better service. Looks like they have got too big for their boots!!!!!!!!!
