GoogleReconsider if you looking for a state agency. I am a suffering tenant. Dealing with them is the worst. They will leave you with no heating or leaking ceiling or even mass electricity over years and you will get a cold response with nothing we can do at the moment for days and weeks. Knowing I have a severely disabled child at home.

GooglePoor communication and very slow to return your money (still waiting after 6 weeks). I rented through Leaders for over 6 years and left the property in March after being encouraged to vacate early to facilitate the landlord’s sale of the property. Although my deposit was returned a month later (a tad longer than the 10 working days that was specified in the terms), I’m still waiting for a refund in overpaid rent over 6 weeks later. Despite multiple follow-ups, I’ve had no clear update or timeline and keep being passed off to different team members. Worse still, the lack of communication is apparently internal as well, as both me and my guarantor were chased and sent multiple emails for unpaid rent weeks after I’d checked out and the flat was sold! (Yes, Leaders were chasing for rent from an ex tenant for a property they no longer manage!!) Quite ridiculous, and causes unnecessary stress whilst also appearing extremely unprofessional. No apology or acknowledgment of this mistake was ever given. These kind of mistakes, delays, vague responses and lack of communication is really unacceptable and doesn’t reflect well on how Leaders treat long-standing tenants. I hope the issue of the overpaid rent is resolved swiftly, if so, I’ll update this review accordingly.

We are saddened to read that you feel the fees we charge for our tenants are too high, we do try to be competitive with these. We are members of the National Federation of Property Professionals Client Money Protection Scheme through our membership of ARLA Propertymark as well as The Property Ombudsman and are a clear and transparent agent that advertise our fees to disclose all charges and do not add fees later on down the line of any tenancy. The fees paid cover work that will vary according to the circumstances of the tenancy but cover immigration and visa confirmation, financial credit checks, obtaining references from current or previous employers, previous or existing landlords, a contribution towards the setting up of the tenancy, compilation and exchanging of the tenancy agreement and check-out fee, all of these services bar the check-out fee would have been undertaken prior to the tenancy commencing. We are concerned by your comments around the heating at the property, as you have not left us your full name alongside your review we are unable to locate you on our system so are unsure of which property this is in relation to. Please could you write to us at customerservice@leaders.co.uk and providing the of the address as this will allow us to locate you on our system and hopefully resolve these issues. GoogleHad a really wonderful experience working with Adam Latter from the Kingston branch of Leaders for the purchase of our first home. The day we met him at our first viewing he was polite and informed and we felt supported throughout the whole process which was daunting being first time buyers. He made sure to keep on top of everything for us as we both have busy jobs and weren't always able to do this ourselves. Adam went the extra mile for us and even hand delivered our keys on completion day as we weren't able to get to the offices in time. Would thoroughly recommend Leaders and Adam specifically.
