Countryside were fantastic with my first property purchase

Countryside were fantastic at delivering a smooth and easy first buyer property purchase. The whole team at Rochester Riverside were very welcoming and informative throughout the process, seemingly always looking out for my needs and addressing any questions very quickly. Face to face interactions with Richard and Diana were very enjoyable and gave a great sense of what was involved at each stage, with a friendly and personal touch. Nadia additionally was responsive to emails and provided useful updates during the course of the property construction.Lastly, Lauren from Countryside maintained contact throughout and was a point person for any questions and instructions on next steps. Overall the experience was extremely positive, where I could not find fault. I would be happy to refer friends/family to Countryside if they were looking for a new property.

Bought our second property with Countryside. Our sales consultant Megan was super helpful and very friendly. She made our process as easy as possible and the communication was spot on. Great experience

Have had the best experience reserving our property with Countryside from start to finish - just want to shout out how fantastic Stuart is at the Bella Wood View development; he is a real credit to your company and has gone out of his way to help make the process as simple and stress-free as possible. From the minute we walked through the door at our first appointment he was welcoming, informative and clearly cared about us as individuals. He has always been willing to answer as many questions as we’ve had and has been very patient and understanding. At no point have we felt pressured in any way which is completely different to some Sales Consultants we have spoken to in the past. The properties look amazing and that combined with the customer service so far, I would recommend anyone considering a new build to look at Countryside. If this continues through the rest of our purchase we’ll be very happy homeowners.

Who would have thought a week after…

Who would have thought a week after viewing a home at Ribblesdale Place Accrington with a house not even on the market that a week later I reserved my new home having used their Assisted Move Scheme I sold my house at full asking price before the for sale sign went up !!! This is all thanks to Anne and Will who made my dream home possible ! They were so lovely but professional and helped me every step of the way ! Who would have thought you could move so quickly ? First home...Ellesmere detached

All of the girls at the Abbotsfield site have been so warm and welcoming since we started viewing their homes last November. We have finally reserved our first home and cannot thank Annabel enough. Annabel has really made this happen for me and my partner. She has been so genuine and cared about us as people not just as a sale, other developments we have viewed have only cared about their sale. Annabel has worked around the clock to make this reservation happen and has responded to us pretty much straight away whenever we have anything to ask, nothing is to much trouble and we are always given definite answers, not ifs buts and maybes. We purchased our new family home from Countryside Properties. Everyone from the sales office to the site managers and construction staff have been amazing.The office staff Sian and Lisa kept us upto date every step of the way until completion, and then the site managers Dom and Paul, nothing is to much trouble, any issues found are acted upon and rectified. I would highly recommend anyone looking to purchase a new build property to look at your nearest Countryside Properties development.

Wouldn't recommend to anyone

We bought a countryside house.Not sure where to start.... The walls are not plastered so loads of joins and screws are now showing through the paint. Who knew if you buy a new build you'd be having to have the walls skimmed?!Garden is full of rubble, whenever we dig a bit to pop a plant in the amount of rubble in that few inches is a joke. Who knew if you buy a new build you would end up needing to dig deep to remove builders rubble and resoil and returf everything?Our roof with skylights has six rows of tiles. At 5 years a lot of tiles had cracked. NHBC agreed this needed sorting but Countryside said this wasn't their problem and refused to do anything. NHBC used their own builders to sort this. We now have 7 rows of tiles and the gradient has been changed. However, on another local Countryside development, this same house now has 8 rows of tiles on the same roof space! Glad to see they've improved this and are perhaps now doing it properly, but it's a shame they couldn't sort the things they built incorrectly. Raised the metre cupboard door on the snagging list, some 5 years ago now, still waiting for this to be sorted.Whilst these points aren't major things and our house still stands, I hope they portray the standard you will get and the service you will receive.I wouldn't ever buy a countryside home again and I would never recommend them to anyone.Edit 1: have emailed countryside, as per their comment below. They have passed it to the relevant region office who have still not contacted me and nothing further has been done.Edit 2: a chap turned up out of the blue last week to measure our meter cupboard. Today I have received an email that it can be fitted at the end of July. Great news that 4 years later this may finally be sorted!No mention of any other issue I have raised in this review though....

From the moment we looked at a Countryside show home on Wardskeep site we knew it was our dream first home.We are now living in our new home and Countryside have lived up to all our expectations.We love every aspect of our new home , buying a new build is always daunting as there is so much negativity around them ! But we have had such a positive experience.Special mention to Michelle and Emily (sales team at wardskeep) who helped us with the process from the moment we reserved - they have been so kind and genuine.Since being in the house there have been a few minor issues that you could only expect however, the site and build team have been fantastic with resolving them. Big shout out to Chris and Ben for being there and getting our issues resolved ASAP both doing a amazing job and making settling into a new home that bit easier.Credit to you all at WardsKeep ! We have just moved into our new home with countryside, and we couldn't of been more pleased. All the way through the process, Countryside have been first class. From purchasing, to keeping us up to date and right up to the exchange/completion. We had a very stressful sale off our house, but they were always very supporting and reassuring. Colleys Development At Grantham

Currently in the process of buying one of their properties at the Hall Park development, Worsop, Lincs. No identical showroom house to view on site but travelled to the Colleys Development Grantham and viewed the same. Sonia was absolutely switched on at the Colleys and she certainly knew all the ins and outs of the house we were buying. She gave incredible advice on optional extras and came up complete trumps. The worst mistake of my life was buying from countryside COPPENHALL PLACE. Don’t waste your hard earned Money.

I originally posted a review on the 26th April, but within a few days I was visited by the site manager who agreed in return for removing the review and giving them a chance to turn my horrendous experience around, this hasn’t been done 8 weeks on. First my original review is below We have purchased a house at coppenhall place the end of March. We received regular weekly calls and updates to let us know what stage our build was at and what was left. However once the money and the keys were handed over that horror started. Day 1 that we moved In we had no hot water and due to covid restricted the engineer wouldn’t come out so we was advised via a zoom call how to bypass this to get us hot water for the weekend. For days we had issues with the scolding water and workmen in and out trying to work out why the pressure kept dropping on the boiler and we was losing hot water and heating every few day. The next week the Emerson pipes began leaking into the small downstairs toilet causing a leak through the floors onto the ceiling and dow the wall!! Again we had to wait until the next day for someone to come out. Turns out the pipes on the Emerson had been leaking, given the corrosion on the pipe this had definitely been leaking longer than a week.The overall workmanship is shoddy and appears rushed. There is paint splashed pretty much everywhere, it’s on the work tops, sides of drawers, on the floors and all over the tiles in the showers.There is a broken tile in the garden and one missing. It makes me wonder if someone has even bothered to come and quality assure these homes before people move in. All new homes have snags and we have been more than understanding as we expected this however the Cherry on the cake was the plasterer coming to fix all the snags just this week gone (in his words he described it as terrible and said he would require 2 days to finish it off as it was so bad) so great another 2 days waiting around. The plasterer turns up with just two already dusty old sheets for a 4 bed house. One was placed over the telly in the lounge and the other the telly in the family area. By 3pm on the second day the whole house was absolutely caked in builders dust, the plasterer armed with a dust pan and brush only attempting to sweep this up. I was seething with anger but I had no choice but to use my brand new hoover to hoover up all his builders dust. The filters on the hoover were completely soiled with plaster and took me ages to wash out. Let alone my new sofas, beds, cabinets  and carpets covered it dust.For 2 days he was there, the first day 9-5. the second day 8-6. Two of my days wasted waiting for corrective work to be done and then to have to clear up after the plasterer it’s an absolute joke. These snags could have easily been completely before we moved in and we would have happily waited another week or so. But instead now we have to wait in for contractors and workmen to come in and out to rectify things that should have already been done. We haven’t even had the joiner in yet to fix the door frames that are cracked and not filled, or the painter to rectify the plastering, or just the poor standard of painting. You can clearly see some bits have had just one coat, and the other bits that have had two coats you can see the brush strokes. This has made the whole buying experience with countryside stressful and draining. I appreciate it takes time for snags to be done but again it’s more of my time taken waiting around for workman to come in and things to be done that should have been done right the first time. I don’t believe the quality is there with countryside builds and I personally wouldn’t recommend them. THIS IS MY ADDITION TO THE REVIEW. 88 DAYS AND WE ARE STILL WAITING ON THE GARDEN TO BE COMPLETED!! WE HAVE BEEN LEFT WITH A HARD MOUND AY THE END OF THE GARDEN WHICH IS A HAZARD WHICH CONTAINS SCREWS NAILS AND BUILDING WASTE. MAYBE THIS IS COUNTRYSIDE IDEA OF BEING FINISHED? JUST UNDER A WEEK AGO I WAS TOLD THIS WAS BEING TREATED AS A PRIORITY, AGAIN NO UPDATE HEARD. FLOORING IS STILL DAMAGED,AS ARE 14 WINDOWS WITH DEEP SCRATCHES.THE FAMILY BATHROOM FLOOR HAS BUBBLED, AND THE ON-SUITE FLOOR ISNT STRAIGHT. EVEN THE KITCHEN RADIATOR HAS DENTS ON. WITH CONTRACTORS ONLY VISITING ONCE OR TWICE A WEEK I AM NOT SURPRISED 3 MONTHS ON SNAGS AREN’T BEING DONE ESPECIALLY WITH MORE HOUSE BEING ADDED TO THE DEVELOPMENT. DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE PAINTER AND DECORATOR. COUNTRYSIDES IDEA OF PAINTING IS TO SEND IN A PAINTER WHO LITERALLY JUST SLAPS PAINT ON A WALL TO COVER PATCHES. I DONT EVEN THINK HES HEARD OF A ROLLER. MORE OF MY POSSESSIONS COVERED IN PAINT, LET ALONE THE FLOORING CARPETS MIRRORS. APPARENTLY HE IS DONE???? WELL HE ISNT. THERE IS STILL MASSIVE AMOUNTS THAT NEED COVERING UP AND RUNS ON THE DOOR FRAMES BUT IM SO ANNOYED AND FED UP I WOULD RATHER LEAVE IT THAN HAVE THIS COWBOY BACK IN MY HOME. ITS A COMPLETE CARRY ON

My house is poorly built

My house is poorly built. My fridge freezer wasn't connected, had a leak under my kitchen sink, front door handle is rusty, gas and electric box won't open and a few other things. I would have thought they would have checked these things before I moved in. There is lack of communication when I try get these issues sorted. Also all the windows, window frames, kitchen cupboards and worktops were very dirty. Would have been nice to move into a new clean house.

Above and beyond what we ever expected in a nut shell!We are currently purchasing a property with Countryside, and the standard the spec and the service so far is something which I can honestly say that is what puts Countryside in a different league from most other housing developers. The fixtures & fittings that come as standard are such a high standard which leads you to believe the house itself will be nothing short of perfect.The customer service we have received from Stuart at Bella Wood View has always been above and beyond, from any silly question I've asked to every email i've sent at silly hours, he's replied with a helpful but yet honest answer - which in this business can be few and far between. Stuart is just a genuine lovely gent - so pleased with the whole process because of him! Absolutely faultless!

My grateful experience

I started to search for a house in January and came across to see the Countryside Properties' new site at Knowsley. Being an overseas buyer and physically not in the UK, I have to rely solely on the Sales Team’s support. I feel grateful that they had not brought me down and led me step by step to going through the complicated process. They answered my questions promptly and professionally via emails and phone calls, and facilitated me in choosing a house of my preference. I have just completed my purchase and received the keys by my friend last week. I am fully satisfied with the service of the Sales Team and happy to see the good quality of the house. Taking this opportunity, in particular, I must thank Tara, who had rendered me help in making my choices on the materials to be used in the house. I can still remember the picture when she was holding her mobile phone talking to me with her left hand and showing me through facetime different material samples with her right hand (The material samples, including granite stone, tile and carpet, were in fact very heavy weighted). I must also thank Megan for helping me in reserving the house at start, and Annabel for completing the purchase for me at final. As said, the quality of the house is good and some of the items are even beyond my expectation. For the inevitable minor defects found, I am sure the Site Office staff will help me rectifying them all with their professional knowledge and skill. What I am hoping now is to come over to the UK as soon as possible to see the house in person after the slowdown of the pandemic. Countryside’s Sales Team, you are great!

The journey to our new home started at the plot reservation. The excitement from thereon, Is not one we will forget in a hurry. The customer service we had from the Sales team was very good. Relocating from London to Rochester Riverside

The team in the marketing suite including Diana, Richard and Nadia were and are friendly and helpful. Our move was made easier by Countryside as they helped us sell our previous property, and the conveyancing process was smooth and efficient. The day after the move an allocated person came round to explain how all appliances eg the gas central heating were operated, very useful. Any snagging issues were dealt with promptly. It was and is easy to contact Countryside's customer services if there is any problem relating to the house. Love the development and area.
