First home of dreams!

We bought our first home from Countryside and were so delighted with every step of the process. We were made to feel at ease and could always reach out to the sales team if we had any questions or concerns. Diana was very warm and professional, making the whole process feel like a breeze but at the same time exciting (when it could have been so stressful). We would highly recommend anyone considering buying a home with countryside. Especially if it’s your first home as it does feel very daunting, but fear not! Countryside will take care of you!

Excellent customer care from site team!

We moved in at the end of January to our new Countryside home in the St. Helens area and we were very happy overall with the customer care of the site team and the Project Manager. All were very affable and friendly and Stuart, the Project Manger, and Ally, the Trainee Assistant Manager, did everything they could to ensure snags were rectified in a timely manner as and when identified by us in the first 35 days. We had one major problem with the garden at the back as it was not draining and was not absorbing water, which meant it was always boggy. The turf used was also of poor quality. After 7 weeks, we asked Stuart the PM to come round and we showed him proof that the garden was not draining and needed land drainage of some kind putting in. Stuart was really good in actioning this and ensuring this was done. Within 3 weeks, our garden had been dug up, land drains put in and garden had been returfed. This was what impressed us the most. Overall, a very professional, friendly and committed customer care service from the site team and very easy to deal with!

Wilson Chase - excellent service

We have purchased a property on the Wilson Chase development. I run a conveyancing firm so familiar with the process but I still can’t believe how smoothly everything is going. We receive constant updates, we have exchanged contracts and hope to be in next month. Annabel has been great right from the beginning, so helpful and friendly. Excellent customer service

We have just reserved a Foss property on the new Accrington development site and have been dealing with Anne Newman. We currently live in Dorset and are planning to relocate to Lancashire later this year. So far Anne has been fantastic in communication and overall customer service. She has been more than accommodating and has responded to every email, question and call with no hesitation. She has talked us though the process step by step and has also provided me with the site manager details so that I can speak to him with regards to any questions about the build itself with us not being near by. We can't wait now to move into our new home and can 100% recomend Countryside, especially for is customer service.Thank you Anne for making this so seamless and straight forward 😁

Buying a new Countryside home

I'm in the process of buying a new home from Countryside in Huyton. I'm really pleased with the property and I've been helped and supported all the way through the process by Annabel and Tara at the site sales office. They've given great advice ranging from providing a choice of solicitors and mortgage advisors through to help with choosing accessories and always with patience and a smile.The people that they have recommended have also given a great service. My partner and I are first time buyers and have just completed our full reservation this weekend with Angela and Justine. The support and help we have received over the last two months have been second to none. Angie and Justine have always been on the other side of the phone whether this be via phone call or email with their speedy responses. No question is a silly question they have answered them all! This is our second new build home, but the first with Countryside and we are extremely impressed with the service from Countryside Properties, and the extra mile they go to in order to help before, during and after our house move. Nothing is too big or small for them to help with and we feel like they have always valued us as people, rather than “the buyers” of our home. We reserved our home during the first lockdown and although things were very strange, we were always kept in the loop and given build updates throughout the process. Started off very good, but just went downhill from there.

The experience started off very good. I purchased the show home on the development and it had some superficial defects. These were rectified by Countryside in the few months after we moved in. As well as some more serious issues such as leaking windows and faulty electrics. Within the first year, while the development was still being built on, these were fixed quickly and efficiently. Once the development was finished however, everything started to go downhill. It could take months to get small jobs done such as verges on my roof hanging off. The when we came to redecorate on of the rooms we discovered that a wall had been plastered incorrectly and was bumpy to the touch. This should have been an easy fix for Countryside and after calling and speaking to their team I was told they would send someone out to fix it. I did not hear from them for 3 weeks and had to cal up again to find out what was going on.It turns out their team manager had decided they could not help me but they didn't think it was important for me to know this information. After weeks of phone calls and emails, 3 members of their customer service team telling me they would fix it. Their excuse was that the house was sold as seen, as it was the showhome. This is understandable but the damage was behind a headboard that was fixed to the wall and could only be seen upon removing the headboard. Therefore I could not see the damage. Their customer service manager even told me on the phone that since I could not see the damage it would not seem like sold as seen. But still she refused to do anything about it. I still have not had a resolution to this and I am going to be stuck with a large bill to have the walls of the room repaired. It is a disgrace that Countryside would treat their customers this way and that their standards are so low that they will happily sell defective houses to customers. I can honestly say I would never recommend ever buying a Countryide home as their customer service managers are awful to have to deal with and clearly do not care.

Couldn’t be more helpful!

We reserved our Ashop home this weekend at Abbotsfield and Justine has been amazing through it all! We had previously had bad experiences with new build developers and were constantly made to feel like we were asking too many questions and wasting their time, but after registering our interest with the Abbotsfield site, Justine met with us the next day and got rid of all of our doubts and fears. Excited for our next home!

We have today reserved our property with Countryside, the help so far has been brilliant. Rachel has been helping us find our next family home, we were firstly interested in 'The New Ashbourne' so Rachel showed us around the show home and it is gorgeous, the specification of the property was lovely and the storage space is also very handy. We were going to go ahead with this property but after sleeping on it we felt we needed a different layout and more space. Rachel was great and advised us to not rush in to anything as it needs to be the right decision. We decided 'The New Walton' may be a better option for us however, the only show home for this property is in Liverpool. Rachel offered to do a virtual viewing via 'WhatsApp' the same day for us, it was so easy and all our questions were answered. We have now found our next home and we are so excited to move in. I have also dealt with Sian today who has also been extremely helpful. Nothing is to much to ask, we have not been rushed to make a decision and there has been so much help and advise already. We are now looking forward to our next appointment to confirm the options we have for the interior. Thanks again to Rachel & Sian :)

DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR.....DONT

The worst experience purchasing a property through Countryside!!!Whatever you do, save yourself years and years of hassle and look elsewhere. When I first purchased the property a snagging surveyor identified over 70 snags, on a new build!!!There has been a constant leak in the car park since the property was purchased in 2017, it is now the 1st May 2024 and they are still making excuses around finding the fault and fixing the fault. For a good majority of this time, they have ripped up our communal areas and left the site like a tip!Honestly, do yourself a favour and stay clear, they are beyond incompetent which an extremely high turnover of staff which also helps the complete nightmare!

Faultless service

We have recently reserved a house at Dutton fields with countryside properties and have been so happy with the service we have received. We travelled from Manchester to view the show homes on site and were able to view all of the show homes and then had a chat with the lovely sales advisor Sian, with the current covid situation we felt fully safe and all guidelines were stuck to perfectly. Sian has been so helpful in recommending morgage advisors and solicitors for us and has done everything in her power to make sure we have the choices of kitchen and bathroom tiles etc for us even though the house had previously been reserved and choices had been made. We can’t wait to move into our gorgeous house and keep in contact with Sian throughout the process.

Only positive things say!!

We recently bought and moved into our property at Beam Park and overal from viewing the show home to completing we only have amazing things to say! The sales team particularly Richard, Steven and Susan were all so helpful and accommodating. If it wasn't for the those guys we may not have pursued with the property. We also dealt with Deseree on the progression team, she answered any questions we had and always kept us updated (more so than our solicitors)! They made us very excited and welcoming buying our first home :)In regards to the property we have had quite a few small snags to mention, nothing huge just small finishes but again everyone has been really helpful and organised getting everything fixed straight away.

Couldn't be happier from start to finish!

I recently completed on a property at Highfield Place. Deb, Tara and Megan have been excellent throughout the process and kept me updated throughout COVID. Such a friendly and helpful team! I have had a stress free experience with Countryside and I'm delighted with my purchase. It was really important to me that I found the right property and have been very indecisive! I had visited quite a lot of different developments within the area and Countryside stood out above all of the rest. The girls were always on hand to help guide, advise and hopefully didn't get too fed up with all of my visits! :-) Not once did I feel pressured. The property is a modern build and spacious and I was very happy with the "extras" that come as standard with Countryside. I have the reassurance of being covered by the warranty. Great choices for carpets, tiles etc which are fantastic quality. The finish to the property is to a very high standard and the workmen at site have been very careful. Not just the interior but I'm so impressed with the exterior. From the fences, walls to the turf and plants, everything looks amazing. My day of completion went really smoothly and Megan was there to hand over and ensure I had all the information I needed. Such a personal touch to the whole process, I really felt looked after. Received a welcome pack which was such a nice surprise, especially since I had forgot to buy new mugs!Site Manager Marc has gone above and beyond to make sure everything was as expected and to see if there was anything that needed to be sorted. The aftercare has been exceptional. Overall I'm extremely pleased with the whole experience of purchasing my property through Countryside and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Thank you so much!
