Bought a property on Abbotsfield and moved in January. Really good service throughout thanks to Lisa and Angela and more recently Justine and happy with the property! The thing am always worried about is the after sales, once they have the money. It’s is fantastic and have knocked round regular to see if all is ok and Ally has been responsive to my emails instantly sorting any slight snags which were all minor cosmetics. Very happy with service.

Belmont Place, we’re finally in!

Myself and the wife had been looking at new developments for around 18 months before we fell in love with the Dunham at Countryside. Amazing kitchen with skylights, bay window in the living you and the master bedroom is out of this world. We purchased our new home in November 2019 with the original completion date in April 2020. In December we were told the good news that our house would be available early in March. We handed our notice in with our landlord (renting at the time) but 10 days before moving in we were told that due to the weather there would be a 4 week delay. Unfortunately we can’t control the weather. We had a new completion date in April and managed to get our landlords to extend our stay. Then the pandemic hit!!!!We finally got the keys to our new home in July! We’ve now been in a week and it’s been amazing. There are snags which you’d get with any development but nothing serious, our friends are having to have their roof replaced with another development!!! I can’t comment on how quickly the snags are completed yet as we’ve only just sent the list off. Countryside have been great - Rachel, Penny, Billie and the team have looked after us. The communication has been great even with informing us of the delays. Our home is fantastic and we couldn’t be happier. It’s been a crazy year but we’re in!!!

I went to Atelier Marketing Suite in…

I went to Atelier Marketing Suite in Harlow to view their new builds, saw the 3 bedroom show home and 2 bedroom show home and also the 4 bed home. I liked the 3 bed best and was told it maybe coming back on the market and they original buyer had until Saturday to sell his own property, So I rebooked with Graham to come down and with my partner in the hope I would get this property on the Saturday. I called on Wednesday to check if any progress was made and Graham told me their had not been he also advised he will be off for the next 2 days because I said I will keep trying to call every day to check the progress in case they original buyer could go ahead! On the Thursday David disappointed and told me someone walked in off the street and has just put a deposit done on the property which was really upsetting and devastating as I was told Saturday and this is what I was holding out for!I still came on the Saturday with a heavy heart to see the 2 bed they had left and then visited the 4 bed that was remaining but knew in my heart of heart I could not live in the 2 bed which was right next door to the 3 bed I desired and I did not feel the 4 bed was worth the money as the Square Ft was identical to the 3 bed and they just cut a room in half. After feeling defeated on Saturday I carried on the Sunday and I put a deposit down at another place with another developer and then to my surprise I got called by Countryside that the person that reserved Thursday is having Second thoughts and I will know on Tuesday lunch time of the outcome, you can imagine the anxiety. Tuesday finally came and I was told that the original buyer had backed out on my dream home and I had deposited elsewhere! We then then decided to go on a third visit just to make sure we felt okay to continue due to the mess around and the fact the other development was offering an amazing deal. We offered £374k and legal fees to be paid! thought it’s the least they could do as I was messed around so much and me being a key worker for the NHS which the other developers took into consideration ! wait for it... The normal selling price for these was £375k but because this was the show home the wanted extra for the fixtures and fittings lamp shades and Curtains and blinds and some garden plants basically and the asking price was £380k! They declined my offer and only offered to pay legal fees and they won’t budge from £380k which was no more than what the last buyer was getting and done without the torment and constant anxiety and to add all the hire cars I kept on using for viewings! Also when I last checked I didn’t realise that curtains and plants added any value to a property so they are basically trying to charge me “the customer” extra for the decor they used to sell to other purchasers! Over the line at last !

I have finally completed the purchase of my new home ! None of the delays were the fault of Countryside - we all were affected by COVID obviously but the communication Countryside (and in particular Penny) maintained throughout was outstanding. To say I feel like a VIP is an understatement !The Site team were available on my completion day and have been round to sort out a couple of minor niggles. Again I’ve been made to feel that nothing is too much trouble.The standard of the finish has blown me away. I am relieved and delighted I chose my new home with Countryside and having read some of the reviews on here I am genuinely astounded we are talking about the same company.Thank you Countryside and Penny. I couldn’t be happier !

Mislead and disregarded

I had an appointment on Saturday where I showed interest in a property- at this point I made them aware I had a property to sell and would be using their assisted move scheme. I contacted their mortgage adviser straight away with my payslips and everything needed for an AIP to be able to reserve the property. I called endlessly Monday and Tuesday, finally getting through to someone on Wednesday. They told me they needed to check the completion date of the build and they would call me the next day for reservation. The next day I had a call where I was told- "a first time buyer showed interest yesterday and because it would be a quicker sell I am letting them reserve". At this point the other buyer had not reserved and also showed interest after me, but I was refused the option to reserve. They advertise assisted move but will disregard you if you want to use this. They made me get my hopes up, go through the AIP process only to be told they were chosing someone else? During this phone call I was asked- "would you be able to buy this property without selling your home?" When I said no, he then said "yes in that case I will let the other people reserve"How is it fair that I was not allowed to reserve due to wanting to use a scheme THEY advertise and previously said I could use?

After a poor experience with another site, the ladies at Wilson Chase Countryside were a breath of fresh air! From the moment we spoke to them, they have made us feel secure, excited and valued. No question is too small - they were there to help with absolutely anything. We used the Assisted Move scheme and were able to secure our dream home within a week of finding it. The ladies at Wilson Chase were so supportive with our situation and made our early stages of reservation as easy and seamless as possible. All the worries we had about being young buyers have been subsided and we couldn't be happier with the service we have received. I couldn’t thank Tara and Debbie enough from countryside. Buying our first home at Highfield place during a pandemic couldn’t of been easier. We are now only a week away from completing on our first family home on the abbotsfield development. When we first saw the house we had already reserved a property with another developer. However, after getting in touch with Lisa and seeing a video of the property we fell in love and decided to go for it. Our property had so many extras (Fully Furnished!!!) which was an absolute dream especially being unable to shop due to the pandemic and having a young baby! Lisa has been amazing through the whole process going above and beyond to make sure we know all the little features of our soon to be home, answering any queries and questions day and night and even on days off, she even put us in touch with a solicitor and a financial advisor/mortgage advisor which straight away saved a lot of time and stress! The process has been made so easy with Lisa’s help and we can’t wait to finally pick up our keys very soon and i’m sure we won’t be disappointed.

We have been searching for a new home for some time, since the kids flew the nest. As I work abroad, we had just kept a room in the in-laws house to use when we were back in the UK. Until the Coronavirus pandemic, we didn’t really consider it a high priority, but having spent the lockdown in my daughter’s beautiful Countryside property, we felt it was time to take the plunge. We have seen first hand the build quality, and thoughtful features included as standard with Countryside. The rooms with the skylights in particular flood the room with light even on a dull day, lifting your spirits.Right from the start, Lisa has been attentive and helpful, and we have had all the information we needed to make a decision. Decided on a pretty Ellesmere, as the size is perfect for the 2 of us, and cracking value for money, not to mention the little extras that means we will be moving into a completely ready house. Just our stuff will be needed to make it home. Highly recommended.

We’ve recently reserved our first home through Countryside and it couldn’t have gone any better. We are first time buyers and hadn’t ever considered a new build but the lovely Angie has guided and helped us through every step, especially during lockdown! Angie has been available at all hours answering all my questions no matter how big or small and we really wouldn’t have been able to do it without her! We used the mortgage advisor and solicitors recommended by Countryside and everything has ran smoothly! From the moment we came to see the first Countryside showhome we knew we would definitely buy a countryside home. Great finishings and lots of additional features that are not offered by any other company!Process:The whole purchase process could not be any smoother! Once we have reserved the property, we had a slight delay from our side due to personal circumstances. Despite deadlines, Countryside still honoured our booking and helped us all the way through! Special thanks to Penny, the sales agent, who has been extremely supportive and helpful from the viewing day up to the moving in. Thanks to Billie from the progressions team. And of course, many thanks to Lee, our financial advisor, recommended by the Countryside, who has secured us a great mortgage deal.Location:Wow, what a beautiful area this is! The developed lays just opposite to a massive, naturally kept park, with two ponds for fishing. Excellent place for walking, jogging or simply reading a book on a bench! On the other side of the development there is a forest, so you can have your morning coffee sitting in the garden and listening to the chirping birds! With only 2 minutes drive, there is also a local plant nursery with fresh fruit, veg and eggs - all organic! And it only takes 5 minutes to drive to the nearest Aldi, Tesco and Lidl.25 mins to Manchester, Liverpool. If you are a fan of cycling, long walks or simply nature - this is a perfect location for you!Completion:House purchase is usually stressful. Bourse purchase during the virus outbreak and lockdown - triple stress. However everyone at Countryside has made this process smooth!House:The house is stunning! We bought a Dunham and absolutely love it. Previously we saw a blyth and it was equally beautiful... What makes countryside stand out from other developers is the additional features that are included in the price. Our garden has been beautifully turfed and there is a water tap to water the plants. Penny has also given us some incentives providing the flooring throughout the house, all appliances and even contributing to the legal fees!!!After sales:As we moved in during the lockdown, the site is closed and therefore cannot comment much on the after sales. We have sent a small snagging list and been reasurred these will be addressed as soon as the team returns. Happy customer!

I’m 6 months into my new home, built in Stockport (Blackberry Point). I read some of these reviews and felt nervous so wanted to put my honest thoughts now that I’m settled. My experience has been excellent - the house is well built, the design is great, the estate is lovely and each house is slightly different which gives character. There was a small snagging list but to be fair to Countryside they got it sorted pretty quickly. There was a complication with my mortgage which Countryside were a little unforgiving over. They charged me interest each day on the value of the property - but I guess those issues weren’t their fault so I’m not too annoyed by that. There is also a bit of a drainage issue in the garden which I feel should have been thought-out by a company who builds homes. However I’m not majorly annoyed by it. So all in all I’ve arrived at 4 stars as my rating. Good customer service, a nice buying experience, friendly staff, a clear regard for post-sales service, unique & characterful designs. Every day I get home I feel chuffed to bits, so they’ve got the company strap-line bang on. In a market full of shady characters, this company is excellent in my view.

Perfect!

We stepped into the show home at Wren Green and we knew straight away that the house was perfect for us. Angie and Lisa in the sales office were so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly - nothing was too much hassle, and every question we had was answered. They helped us choose our kitchen and flooring after many hours of bickering and indecisiveness, as well as always being welcoming whenever we dropped in for a chat every now and then after visiting our plot to check for progress.Everything was so easy and everybody I've spoken to at Countryside upto now has been nothing but helpful. Sam in the Sales Progression team was excellent on the lead up to our exchange of contracts, she was very understanding and flexible when needed to be, and it was reassurring to know that I had a dedicated member of the team looking after our purchase, so if I ever had a problem I had one person to call and I could rest assured it was all being taken care of.We're now in our new home and it's perfect, it is everything we could have ever wished for and we still can't believe we've got such a lovely house as a first home!

We purchased a new build from Countryside and as this was the first time we had brought a new build we were slightly concerned. we need not of been as Penny and Annabel made the experience really straight forward and made us feel very valued all the way through especially as we were 250 miles away whilst it was being built they kept us informed and were happy to go measure things even the garden and checking where the best place we could put the free shed!we would definitely buy from these two ladies again and the countryside team are defiantly a team from the sales team to the site managers and the tradesmen and the customer service team we have been here a year now and they are still available if we have any concerns or questions.

Myself and my partner are first time buyers and we popped into Countryside in Duttons Field Flintshire, we were kindly welcomed by Annabel who instantly made us feel comfortable she talked us through all of the houses and what they offer and all the process and told us everything we needed to know and answered all of our questions for us. Myself and my partner instantly knew this is who we wanted to buy our first home with. Since starting the process Countryside have been amazing with us, what we thought would be a difficult process they have made so easy for us and most of all we would like to thank Annabel at Countryside she has been beyond amazing with us and has been there for us every step of the way and continues to be, she has made this whole experience so relaxed and enjoyable for us.
