My house is poorly built

My house is poorly built. My fridge freezer wasn't connected, had a leak under my kitchen sink, front door handle is rusty, gas and electric box won't open and a few other things. I would have thought they would have checked these things before I moved in. There is lack of communication when I try get these issues sorted. Also all the windows, window frames, kitchen cupboards and worktops were very dirty. Would have been nice to move into a new clean house.

Always above and beyond!

Above and beyond what we ever expected in a nut shell!We are currently purchasing a property with Countryside, and the standard the spec and the service so far is something which I can honestly say that is what puts Countryside in a different league from most other housing developers. The fixtures & fittings that come as standard are such a high standard which leads you to believe the house itself will be nothing short of perfect.The customer service we have received from Stuart at Bella Wood View has always been above and beyond, from any silly question I've asked to every email i've sent at silly hours, he's replied with a helpful but yet honest answer - which in this business can be few and far between. Stuart is just a genuine lovely gent - so pleased with the whole process because of him! Absolutely faultless!

My grateful experience

I started to search for a house in January and came across to see the Countryside Properties' new site at Knowsley. Being an overseas buyer and physically not in the UK, I have to rely solely on the Sales Team’s support. I feel grateful that they had not brought me down and led me step by step to going through the complicated process. They answered my questions promptly and professionally via emails and phone calls, and facilitated me in choosing a house of my preference. I have just completed my purchase and received the keys by my friend last week. I am fully satisfied with the service of the Sales Team and happy to see the good quality of the house. Taking this opportunity, in particular, I must thank Tara, who had rendered me help in making my choices on the materials to be used in the house. I can still remember the picture when she was holding her mobile phone talking to me with her left hand and showing me through facetime different material samples with her right hand (The material samples, including granite stone, tile and carpet, were in fact very heavy weighted). I must also thank Megan for helping me in reserving the house at start, and Annabel for completing the purchase for me at final. As said, the quality of the house is good and some of the items are even beyond my expectation. For the inevitable minor defects found, I am sure the Site Office staff will help me rectifying them all with their professional knowledge and skill. What I am hoping now is to come over to the UK as soon as possible to see the house in person after the slowdown of the pandemic. Countryside’s Sales Team, you are great!

Keep up the good work !!!!

The journey to our new home started at the plot reservation. The excitement from thereon, Is not one we will forget in a hurry. The customer service we had from the Sales team was very good. Worthy of note are Michelle Rhodes and Emily Buttery.Haven been in for just over 6weeks now, everything has been just as expected of a new home. The guys on site have shown keen effort to help us with whatever we need (from site managers to individual tradesmen) They have all been a great friendly bunch. Penny and the team at countryside Crewe have been really helpful and highly professional. The homes being produced are top quality which is mirrored in the quality of the Sales Team supporting them. Positive Experience From Beginning To End

In September 2019 we reserved a house with Countryside, Beam Park and moved in March 2021. On our very first visit at the Marketing suite we were impressed by the standard of service we received from the team. Initially our dealings were with Susan who helped us choose the perfect home for my son and I. Thank you Susan, we love our new home! We then were passed on to Steven who deserves a special mention for his consistent excellent service in all our enquiries with a very polite and professional manner; he kept us updated during the process up until he handed us our keys. His care did not stop there he even followed up few weeks later to check if everything was going well and if he could be of any assistance. Relocating from London to Rochester Riverside

The team in the marketing suite including Diana, Richard and Nadia were and are friendly and helpful. Our move was made easier by Countryside as they helped us sell our previous property, and the conveyancing process was smooth and efficient. The day after the move an allocated person came round to explain how all appliances eg the gas central heating were operated, very useful. Any snagging issues were dealt with promptly. It was and is easy to contact Countryside's customer services if there is any problem relating to the house. Love the development and area.

We bought our first home from Countryside and were so delighted with every step of the process. Excellent customer care from site team!

We moved in at the end of January to our new Countryside home in the St. Helens area and we were very happy overall with the customer care of the site team and the Project Manager. All were very affable and friendly and Stuart, the Project Manger, and Ally, the Trainee Assistant Manager, did everything they could to ensure snags were rectified in a timely manner as and when identified by us in the first 35 days. We had one major problem with the garden at the back as it was not draining and was not absorbing water, which meant it was always boggy. The turf used was also of poor quality. After 7 weeks, we asked Stuart the PM to come round and we showed him proof that the garden was not draining and needed land drainage of some kind putting in. Stuart was really good in actioning this and ensuring this was done. Within 3 weeks, our garden had been dug up, land drains put in and garden had been returfed. This was what impressed us the most. Overall, a very professional, friendly and committed customer care service from the site team and very easy to deal with!

We have just reserved a Foss property on the new Accrington development site and have been dealing with Anne Newman. We currently live in Dorset and are planning to relocate to Lancashire later this year. So far Anne has been fantastic in communication and overall customer service. She has been more than accommodating and has responded to every email, question and call with no hesitation. This is our second new build home, but the first with Countryside and we are extremely impressed with the service from Countryside Properties, and the extra mile they go to in order to help before, during and after our house move. Nothing is too big or small for them to help with and we feel like they have always valued us as people, rather than “the buyers” of our home. We reserved our home during the first lockdown and although things were very strange, we were always kept in the loop and given build updates throughout the process. Started off very good, but just went downhill from there.

The experience started off very good. I purchased the show home on the development and it had some superficial defects. These were rectified by Countryside in the few months after we moved in. As well as some more serious issues such as leaking windows and faulty electrics. Within the first year, while the development was still being built on, these were fixed quickly and efficiently. Once the development was finished however, everything started to go downhill. It could take months to get small jobs done such as verges on my roof hanging off. The when we came to redecorate on of the rooms we discovered that a wall had been plastered incorrectly and was bumpy to the touch. This should have been an easy fix for Countryside and after calling and speaking to their team I was told they would send someone out to fix it. I did not hear from them for 3 weeks and had to cal up again to find out what was going on.It turns out their team manager had decided they could not help me but they didn't think it was important for me to know this information. After weeks of phone calls and emails, 3 members of their customer service team telling me they would fix it. Their excuse was that the house was sold as seen, as it was the showhome. This is understandable but the damage was behind a headboard that was fixed to the wall and could only be seen upon removing the headboard. Therefore I could not see the damage. Their customer service manager even told me on the phone that since I could not see the damage it would not seem like sold as seen. But still she refused to do anything about it. I still have not had a resolution to this and I am going to be stuck with a large bill to have the walls of the room repaired. It is a disgrace that Countryside would treat their customers this way and that their standards are so low that they will happily sell defective houses to customers. I can honestly say I would never recommend ever buying a Countryide home as their customer service managers are awful to have to deal with and clearly do not care.

Excited for our next home!

We have today reserved our property with Countryside, the help so far has been brilliant. Rachel has been helping us find our next family home, we were firstly interested in 'The New Ashbourne' so Rachel showed us around the show home and it is gorgeous, the specification of the property was lovely and the storage space is also very handy. We were going to go ahead with this property but after sleeping on it we felt we needed a different layout and more space. Rachel was great and advised us to not rush in to anything as it needs to be the right decision. We decided 'The New Walton' may be a better option for us however, the only show home for this property is in Liverpool. Rachel offered to do a virtual viewing via 'WhatsApp' the same day for us, it was so easy and all our questions were answered. We have now found our next home and we are so excited to move in. I have also dealt with Sian today who has also been extremely helpful. Nothing is to much to ask, we have not been rushed to make a decision and there has been so much help and advise already. We are now looking forward to our next appointment to confirm the options we have for the interior. Thanks again to Rachel & Sian :)

Faultless service

We have recently reserved a house at Dutton fields with countryside properties and have been so happy with the service we have received. We travelled from Manchester to view the show homes on site and were able to view all of the show homes and then had a chat with the lovely sales advisor Sian, with the current covid situation we felt fully safe and all guidelines were stuck to perfectly. Sian has been so helpful in recommending morgage advisors and solicitors for us and has done everything in her power to make sure we have the choices of kitchen and bathroom tiles etc for us even though the house had previously been reserved and choices had been made. We can’t wait to move into our gorgeous house and keep in contact with Sian throughout the process.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR.....DONT

The worst experience purchasing a property through Countryside!!!Whatever you do, save yourself years and years of hassle and look elsewhere. When I first purchased the property a snagging surveyor identified over 70 snags, on a new build!!!There has been a constant leak in the car park since the property was purchased in 2017, it is now the 1st May 2024 and they are still making excuses around finding the fault and fixing the fault. For a good majority of this time, they have ripped up our communal areas and left the site like a tip!Honestly, do yourself a favour and stay clear, they are beyond incompetent which an extremely high turnover of staff which also helps the complete nightmare!
