Extremely poor experience with Foxtons. We were left without proper cooking facilities for 25 days, which had a major impact on our daily life and forced us to spend extra money on food. A functioning cooker is a basic part of any home, yet this was not handled with the urgency it deserved.

GoogleHonest and Frustrating Experience with Foxtons Property Management Notting Hill For the past few years, I used Foxtons Property Management in Notting Hill as a landlord living abroad. While I understand the value a good property management company can bring, unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. 1. Issues with Property Maintenance and Communication: Upon visiting the property myself, I discovered significant issues like humidity, mold on walls, balcony leaks, and rusty bathroom pipes. The periodic inventory surveys did not highlight the need for urgent interventions to fix these crucial maintenance problems. Despite the flat's condition, Foxtons seemed ready to re-rent it immediately. This would have undoubtedly led to a dissatisfied tenant, likely explaining the recent tenant turnover. Focusing solely on filling the flat seemed to overshadow the importance of maintaining the property and tenant satisfaction. Due to the neglected repairs, the flat needed to be taken off the market for several weeks. Communication with my property manager was slow and unreliable. E-mails often took days for a response, were sometimes mixed up, or not answered at all. 2. High Repair Costs and Unreturned Deposit: Foxtons stopped providing comparative quotes for repairs, presenting only a single, often significantly overpriced option. This lack of transparency made me feel they prioritized convenience over cost-effectiveness for the landlord. As we speak, I'm still waiting for the tenant's deposit return. Foxtons mentioned attempting negotiation, but their approach seems to have been not effective, leaving me still waiting and frustrated. Overall, being a landlord living abroad seeking a property management agency that prioritizes property care, tenant well-being, fair repair costs, and responsive communication, Foxtons wasn't the right fit for my needs. Please note: This review focuses on my experience only and represents my personal point of view.

The team was highly organised, professional, and, most importantly, extremely responsive. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and approachable, which gave me real peace of mind throughout the process. When you’re under pressure to sell and move things forward, that level of support and responsiveness makes all the difference. I would highly recommend Foxtons.

GoogleDo not use Foxtons. Untrustworthy, dishonest estate agent. Terrible experience with Chuck + team leading me to loose thousands of pounds in fees. They will agree to conditions of exclusivity, however don’t believe them. They will just lie and tell you to pay all the fees, that everything is ok and follow through on buying a property, only to wake up one day and find out it’s been sold to someone else. Waste of time, waste of money, and I can agree with the other 1 star reviews on here, totally stressful, terrible experience.

I've recently started renting from Foxtons. They are both the letting agent and the managing agent. I have never paid so much for such a bad service. None of the extractor fans work, my heating doesnt work, the curtain rods are bent and now one has fallen off & luckily no one got hurt because they have taken so long to resolve the issues. I'm wondering is this even legal?

I contacted ONE agent for a specific property viewing, and it has turned into a total nightmare. I am being hounded by at least FOUR different colleagues from this branch. The frequency is beyond unprofessional, I just received 2 calls in the span of 5 minutes.

As a landlord (don't hate me!) paying for a managed service, they tried to charge me £90 + vat to fix a meter door with two cable ties. This is typical, and I have to chase them repeatedly for everything. My tenants and I deserve better.

I had an incredibly unfair and unprofessional experience with the Foxtons Deposits Team. We moved out in October 2025, yet it took five months for any clarity regarding our deposit, a delay that felt like a tactical move to strip us of our right to provide counter-evidence.

GoogleI had a great experience with Foxtons Notting Hill. If you’re looking to buy I would recommend seeing if sales negotiator Natalie Simpkin is available. We first viewed the properties I had seen on the website and she then showed me a gem of a place that hadn’t yet gone live, enabling me to put in an early offer. She has excellent knowledge of both the area and the market and l found her by far the most professional negotiator I met while seeking a property. Top marks to Foxtons.

He has always taken a long term approach to my relationship with him as a landlord I hope that he progresses in his career in Foxtons , as it is well deserved..

Our experience with Foxtons has been nothing short of frustrating. From the very beginning, communication was poor. Before moving in, emails went unanswered or delayed, and once we raised urgent issues like a serious mold problem, it was not addressed in a timely manner. We also went without heating for weeks in the winter before finally being given a few space heaters as a stop-gap.

They both have done an amazing job in selling my flat, they know the market well, they are very professional, engaged and efficient. Their social skills are excellent, warm yet authentic. As a single mum to an autistic child, we had so many requirements that we were looking for in our new home. Oliver Smith knew how to listen empathecally, and with such professionalism. GoogleI've done several viewings with Foxtons in the Notting Hill area. I had very little time to do these viewings, but Natalie Simpkin was very accomodative and she managed to show me 9 properties over 2 days in a total of just 2.5 hours. Having seen so many different properties, I could make comparisons at the end; so the experience really gave me a clear picture of what I could get in the area. Natalie was very caring and really careful in understanding my preferences and no-go, she was also quite frank which is not really a common feature amongst agents. I did not proceed with any of the properties I viewed, but that's because I decided to postopone the purchase.

GoogleAsk for Carmine! Carmine was a fantastic help in my search for a new flat. Highly recommend him. He is attentive, courteous and knowledgable. He goes above and beyond for his clients and is not pushy or too hustling like some lettings agents. He listens to what you are seeking + tries his absolute best to help you find it. Whilst I ended up finding my flat through a friend, I will 100% come back to Carmine for my next property search.
